Hi grandma hope you're doing well. Keep them boys fed and working. I lost both my grandma's by the time I was 8 but I remember the harvest meals would cook. I wish every kid could spend time on a farm.
You will find a Gleaner places the grain evenly on the shoe up to about a 20% slope.....the advantage of the cylinder placed across the front of the machine. Less fuel, less moving parts to accomplish the harvest process and purchase cost is noticable less. Just a thought
I notice that there is a nice smooth grain flow coming out of Case unload auger spouts but not so on JD combines. The JDs spiral the grain out into a coning pattern getting wider the lower it drops. A splitter plate inside the spout splitting the flow in half in the JD would probably help.
Just found u on TH-cam after seening ur mike Mitchell vid I was searching him and found u been watching you a lot also subed… what kinda dog is that she sure is cute?
TATA for another interesting video. I wonder if buckets on an elevator belt would result in less fines. It would have to be designed in such a way to prevent kernels from geting under the belt.
climbing ajustement is avaibale for 150 series 2023 model in europe ..supose is it availbale in US .Don't know is there retrofit kit for previous x flow series .In weath the loose are most versus in corn with our 5140 .in climbing situation...
Well maybe Pat could of used an additional checkbook, when he was buying the 150 series combine, that way he could buy a 250 series combine. The point of the 150 is to cater to the smaller, more economy, buyer. I.E. some of the options are not available. You are comparing apple to oranges.
But with automation features especially something as simple as that, it should’ve been easy to implement across the board. For example, Deere combines have had that since 2016. I understand probably not right away but 5 years after is it a little much
Plant your corn sideways upon the hills. Solve the combine limitations. Just kidding. But is an interesting solution that the planter would struggle and slide with.
You are a minority who understands the "reversing the cone" in the top of the bin. This process will eliminate all spoilage and caking.... Smart insights
COVER CROP (multi species program) eliminate erosion and restore the soil health plus reduce commercial fertilizer and herbicide totals.... Producers on this program have no need to add inputs because the plant combinations supply the total needs

Your dog is adorable great video. I like your Bob tail cat I have a Bob tail to she will be 10 yrs old next spring.
We call it a catch basin to slow down the water on a side hill.
Ron im coming to work for you gyys. All the pay I want is Grandmas cooking!! Yummy!
One thing in common with farming videos is farmers sure deserve to eat and enjoy it very much
What you call a dike with a tile inlet, we call a dry dam in Illinois.

Gotta get that ground up kernel outta there somehow... Green Feed Grinder🤦🏻♂️
Wonderful Thanksgiving holiday for Y'all....
Very powerful proud of y'all
International 453 hillside , 4 way leveling system ....a need to bring that back.
Enjoyed the video. 20 degree slope, that seems fairly significant
Thanks for watching... yeah they can be nasty
It's where the flagship shines
No doubt

You just always looked away when you saw a Massey Ferguson before :)
😂
@@HartungFamilyFarms how much acre is above your grain bin

I do think you’re right that an elevator bucket is a more gentle way to lift grain than an auger
@@HartungFamilyFarms An auger is always scoring the grain against the inside of the pipe which makes for fines.
We run rotor 370 concave at 23, veins slowed down
The leg's electric motor start up is more amps for a few seconds. There are many amp seconds in an amp hour.
Interesting we have Hartungs that farm around here in Vulcan county Canada
That’s awesome!
Best combin to have
try the Crary Big Top system
Wow, that spaghetti looks GOOD!

I’ll have to look into it! Thanks
Oh my think Crary makes an extension curry big top I think

In my opinion they offered the same opinions for both and same sizes too
Have y’all ever looked into get a green piece
Haha I mean... I've looked at them a lot
@@HartungFamilyFarms lmao can’t get them to demo one lol
might need to invest in a hillside combine to keep the lose down on the hills and hillsides
It is not really the sidehill that is our problem… it’s the straight up and straight down which a sidehill combine won’t really help
@@HartungFamilyFarms the hillside combines we use are 4way leveling

Hope those elbows are AR steel. Definitely a high wear area
I hope so too but we haven’t had much issues with wear in that atea
Plant your corn sideways upon the hills. Solve the combine limitations. Just kidding. But is an interesting solution that the planter would struggle and slide with.
We actually prefer to plant going across the hills because it helps to slow the water down by hitting roots every 30 inches
What is a pre cleaner and do they need to be taken out of some combines
😂 are you talking about on a S series combine?
@@HartungFamilyFarms yes
Does the cleaning shoe raise up and down lengthwise.
Back end up or down or front end up or down-?
Negative... no combines on the market do that to my knowledge
Crary big top should work
I’ve heard of them!
Daisy's yip considered her comment. 🐶
Did anyone else catch that it's available on the "flagship"

He's a john Deere junk combine engineer, stole all the things that case had for years and put it on the junk green combine..
Case combines are bilt in a New Holland plant in Kearney Neb. Tin work is the only case part of the red junk.
I follow you on Instagram and I didn’t see what was planted in the field
