I was friends with the son of a hoarder. It got so bad the young man ended up becoming depressed. He used to be so lively in his younger days, but as his mom's hoarding got worse, his well being went down in proportion to the hoarding. I went inside the house a couple times. A sea of clothes and crap so high that you could touch the ceiling. Every inch of the house was flooding with... STUFF.
I know someone like that. Her grandmother isn't as bad as some of the hoarders out there and I think it's only because her parents try to do cleaning but she just goes and buys more crap. Like I kid you not grandma would go buy groceries after parents just bought some, so now there are 7 loafs of bread on the counter (because if there's a sale she has to buy them). She tried to pawn off a steak on me that was brown once and I told her it wasn't any good anymore, showing her the date As soon as the person I know moved out of the house her mental state drastically improved. I hope your friend got out and is doing better
The gas you mentioned late in the video is called CS gas. It's not actually a gas, but small sharp particles that bury and cut into fabrics and skin. Marines in boot camp actually get "gassed" by this substance. It sucks for a number of reasons, mainly because if you try to shower it off with warm water, the vapor will lift the particles up and reactivate it. It can be deadly if breathed in because it will cause your lungs to create lots of mucus, leading to the clogging of your lungs. It takes about 5 mins of breathing it before it becomes a serious concern. However, if you don't die, it'll completely clean out your airway.
I have hoarding tendencies, luckly I am not and due to the awareness of hoarding I will likely not ever get close to that bad. I Salute to those who help clean and those facing such issues
@@j.p3289, I am the exact same way as you and the original commenter, I have a tote of stuff I "need just in case" which is nearly full. Time for a garage sale.

The cleaners here really are doing an amazing service to the community. When i worked in hvac, i had to work in four hoarder houses, and i thank the stars i didn't see more. Three of those houses don't exist today because they burned down. There is a serious threat behind these places. Oh boy! A cute and sacrificable- i mean marketable plushie! Woo! Trans rights!
I've met a horder cleaner at work I work in retail and said hey long day and he was talking about a job. He was so sweet and we were going on how difficult it must be for the person . Hats off to all those workers x
when i was installing home security systems a couple of years ago thankfully ive never had a hoarder house but ive helped other techs on a few just to get them out of there, but i did have one job where their dog peed on my brand new tool backpack... it smelled terrible for months i washed it like 3 times and coated it in baking soda then washed again then let it hang outside for 2 months i learned a great lesson that day.
I find it really interesting that the decayed ice cream smelled like low tide. It kinda makes sense because ice cream contains algin from kelp as an emulsifier!
So I’m military, and I’ve talked to a few guys in or have been in bomb squads, and that was EXACTLY how every bomb squad guy is. They’re all cynical and make some of the best self deprecating jokes ever.
decomp was the strangest smell i have smelled in a house(went to grandmas house when i got the news she had passed), she passed on the bed and the odor that hit me as soon as i entered the house was fermenting fecal matter and a sickeningly sweet scent, hard to describe the sweet scent but i will never forget it, what made the odor worse was that the heat in the house was turned up really high. i got to see my grandma for the last time(she had passed sitting on the edge of the bed and was now laying down on her back but was still in a sitting pose) fun story about grenades. i work at a papermill and many years ago we got a shipment of logs from somewhere down in europe and the metal detector on the conveyor belt stopped the line, when the operators went out to look, they found an old WW2 frag grenade lodged in one of the logs. the police where called and the bomb squad blew it up outside the building.
I once helped a hoarder move. It wasn’t easy but thankfully they weren’t anywhere near as bad as the places shown on the show or talked about in this video.
Answering a question asked- "Clear Out" is a mix of OC (Oleoresin capiscum/Pepper gas) and CS (Chlorobenzalolonitrile). The "sand" was probably granules of CS agent, and it is indeed not something you want touching your skin.
As a pizza driver ive delivered to a cat house before. Its already bad just standing outside for the short interaction with the person living there so i can imagin how rancid it is actually being inside going through all that
For the question at #48:20 ~, yes clear out is a tear gas grenade. They are exetemely effective at getting barricaded suspects out of areas into the open.
@@13rofl666love to hear it, glad I'm inspiring so many people to get some cleaning done, lol. (I don't judge, I'm 28 and do pleeeeeenty of cringey things actively now, lol.)
Very recently, I finished cleaning my own room, which was a two years in the making. Luckily for me, I had tried at least twice before and thus no real like mold. Or anything insanely awful was there. But it still took me a couple weeks and there was a lot. But you are completely right in a lot of aspects. The feeling of standing back and looking at a room, which is pretty much clean after it was horrendous is just amazing. And for anyone who may be struggling to clean a room in their house or just their room and is reading this comment. The best thing I can suggest, for you is to divide the room up into sections. And determining which one you feel like you can do at that moment. And it doesn’t need to be done in one day or one week or whatever. You can take as long as it takes. As long as you’re still doing stuff, it’s still progress. Or at least that’s how I looked at it. Either way keep on keeping on. And thank you for reading this comment.
I'm terrified of ending up this level of incontinence or hoarding or whatever. I feel so sorry for the woman who thought you guys were laughing at her :/. I really hope I never end up this incontinent when I get older, it's one of my biggest fears.
I remember watching hoarders I have met a few myself back when I lived in Texas Never a pretty sight nor a happy one It's always sad and mostly depressing And hoarding isn't always in their house where they live it can be a shed or a garage or even their yards I remember climbing around on a hoard once when visiting a family friend Wasn't pretty and little me shouldn't have been doing so but I did Hoarding tends to hit a lot of the older folks Especially when they are alone It's a real mental disorder and it's not a kind one to the person who developed it It's in some cases lethal You hear about people getting crushed by moving mounds or pets dying in holes and not being found for years It's nasty And so many treat these people so horribly and think them dumb or lazy They are not They are ill and need help most of all They don't enjoy living in squalor no one does they just can't break the hold it has on them either mentally or physically for the older folks
@@FallenCause You sure did! Actually it was informative and insightful about what hoarding is. Not to the degree of any of the stories but my childhood home had a lot of stuff, and it was messy with lots of creepy crawlies😘 Also kinda having hoarding tendencies myself, I think I kind of understand. For me it gives me a weird sense of comfort. In a false sense of permanence sort of way. And during my low points, I think it makes the internal chaos kinda make more sense by having a physical representation of the headspace. I do have a hard time letting go of things like empty boxes, broken electronics, clothes, among other things So I appreciate you being very compassionate and nonjudgmental with your clients, and at least trying to lighten their mood with goofy jokes. Please come on again! Your new job sounds pretty interesting
I had the job to clear houses from dead people. It was a side job of the company that specialised in pest control. I work there for three weeks to try out the job of pest control. We were in a apartment in a multi story building to clear it out. (i think 6th floor or a bit higher) I had the task to clear out the fridge because i was the new one and i had the honor to carry out the coutch where the person died on and layed on for i dont know how long. I will never forget the smell of both. Even worse one day i was shopping at a supermarket and a old man in front of me had the same smell on him. It was so hard not to puke on the spot.
There were times in my life where I think my family were horders. When my stepdad was alive, he collected action figures. They were everywhere. When he passed unexpectedly, my mom tried to hold on to them but she just couldn't stand the sight of them and got rid of most of them. She was sad to look at them and sad to be rid of them too. It sucked for her. It's best to just let things go at times. We definitely are not neatfreaks by no means, but we do get a little messy and dirty at times. Not as horrid as any average hoader, but we are lazy and could use a extra bit of motivation. In time. Anyhow, take care of yourselves, change what you can, and you'll be fine.
On some cursory googling, the Clear Out canisters are aerosol tear gas grenades with a 1% mixture of CS (2-chlorobenzalmalononitrile, aka “tear gas”). These things are used in situations where traditional CS grenades are not an option because of, for example, a fire risk (see Waco). These things are more like a big bug bomb, except for use against humans instead of insects.
I've been to a hoarders house and it's better than some of them but it's been there long enough that rats have ate through the wall and she didn't even know it, we did get it cleaned and got her placed in a better place and it has significantly been reduced.
Out of everything, the roaches made me blegh. Oh god them crawling all over the walls and ceiling and dropping on me would be a total nightmare. Those little hellspawns are insult to injury
51:03 I don't know where, but I remember hearing a story where a cleaner said: "This one's bad, get the purple stuff!" And now I know what that purple stuff is!
I'm not even qualified to do this kind of job and I ended up doing it when my dad passed away. His house was over 30 years of hoard that we're STILL going through...along with the various emotions that came with it: loss, anger, frustration, yelling at each other and more. Since then: it's beem sorta a driving force for me to GET qualified for this level of work with my landscaping and property management company just to see the freedom of a property again. It's been 3 years and I'm still cleaning up this place when he died and I've been working through it. I'd have loved to be in the interview with this guy to sit and learn at his knee.
Ooooh hell yeah new upload. Love this line of work, I watch a guy called Biggie Clean who does this and it’s so fascinating to see this, and wholesome to see them have their lives put back together.
Damn I sure was raised well, Never in my life will I not clean my house, EVER! I also like the FPS view of this interview, makes me feel like im there listening to the story
I feel for people that work these sorts of jobs. I have mad respect for him for being able to step up and take on jobs of such magnitude and importance. He’s stronger than me in that respect. Reminds me of something I ran into at my job. For context, I work at a local thrift store, and we sometimes go out around town to pick up donations that some people can’t bring to the store themselves. Me, another guy, and the store boss actually went on a pickup to a place being cleaned up by one of these hoarder cleaning crews, about a month or two ago. The hoarder in question moved to my city from Georgia. The lil’ detached single-car garage next to the house was filled 80% of the way, floor to ceiling, back wall to the garage door, with pristine boxes of packaged up items that hadn’t been touched since they moved to my city - about fifteen years, if I recall. We backed up the trailer to the garage, the other guy started bringing boxes to me, and I used my “superior Tetris stacking” to organize all the boxes in the trailer. If I had been swapped out for anyone else, like one of the boss’ sons, they would’ve easily had to make two trips, but I managed to neatly stack it into one. Took about 60-90 minutes. Now the full trailer is sitting in my boss’ detached TWO-car garage, waiting for space at our warehouse to be dumped off and properly sorted through. But who knows how long that’ll be! I hope the big guy enjoys having all that occupying HIS place now. Who knows if one of these crews might have to go take care of all that too someday, just rinse and repeat.
I mean my old dorm minifridge started smelling and we didn't know why for about a whole semester. Then we learned it had black mold in the refrigeration unit... that was my introduction to that, lol. Dorms can be gross, so good on you for keeping on top of it!

I was the freeon guy for a while, i would also take the fridge and replace it with a new. The worst job i was on was to replace and drain the freeon in an apartment room, when from the out side it wasnt that bad but when you went in the room was thick with cig smoke, weed smoke, cat piss and shit, and rancid milk. Let alone to say it wasnt a fun day for me and my bud
I was a removal tech for a funeral home for a couple years and the way he described the smells of a decomp is spot on even down to the consistency. It's a sweet sulfurous smell that thickens the air and sticks to anything it touches.
Hi Azeal! Things are very Interesting for me rn. I’m about 1.5 semesters away from graduating college with an associates in MET. I’m currently about 6 weeks away from graduating my tool and die maker apprenticeship with a massive raise and a journeyman’s card. And my new cat, who is the easiest transition from the shelter to my house ever, had 5 kittens yesterday while I was at work!
Thanks! A few of your videos actually helped me get through some of the tough times leading up to this point! Your videos helped me not only realize that everyone, not just those I don’t know, have a huge effect on the life around me, but also that questioning everything, no matter what answer is given, is the key to success in life. If I don’t know something, I ask “why?” After that answer is said, I then ask “How?” And so on and so forth. Asking those questions after receiving answers rather than asking them all at once is what leads to the truth. Being patient when finding the truth and knowing that it may not all be sunshine and rainbows, but the world wouldn’t be half as advanced as it is now without the darkness of the world to give us perspective.
Wow, a really gross story but also interesting and just a lot of good info on how to take care of a mess. I had a story where my sister works in a retail grocery store where an elderly customer decided to just start shitting diria and still continue shopping wail just shitting, so my sister and her coworker just coldent stomic it to clean this up. They had another coworker clean it up that could stomic it, and they coldent find this customer because she had cheked out of the store allready. I also had to deal with bed bugs. I know all too well how difficult they are to deal with.
As someone who comes from a moderate hoarder house (my dad is a hoarder and I gave up trying to clean up after him) these kind of stories bring me an odd comfort because 1: at least it's not THAT bad... and 2: there is hope that it CAN be cleaned some day...
Cat houses were the exact reason why i thought i didnt like or want cats growing up. I genuinely hated the smell of a litter box and it didnt matter what the cat did to make up for it. Then my fiance and i discovered flushable litter and its been a godsend
Clay, paper, and wood litters are notorious for their poor smell retention, but a much better option in my experience is silica crystal litter. It sucks up all the moisture from the waste, thereby eliminating the primary means of smell transmission into the air. I have three cats and don't smell their litter boxes ever.
I really like these types of interviews where its over someone's job. TV shows like Dirty Jobs is always so interesting to me bc it talks about jobs you'd never imagine existing
I have OCD and i've caught myself anxiety junk hoarding a few times, at least it's not as severe as this. I never have much clutter, luckily, only some useless junk I can't let go because of how emotional it makes me to even think of losing these things hm. Luckily i am very sensitive to things i consider dirty even if it isn't, so i never had anything disgusting or too many things. My mother throws my stuff away, and that hurts a lot
I'm gonna save up a couple months of allowance/money from babysitting my cousins to buy one of the plushies I love ur channel and wanna support it more than I already do sharing videos to friends :3
A is not only my ACTUAL chill college bro, but he's by best bud. He asked me to be the Best Man at his wedding and I'm flying down to his place in about two weeks to go to the Mothman festival in West Virginia later this month! The whole crew was just college dorm room vibes, but without the REALLY loud parties, lol.
I honestly hope I never become a hoarder. I may have some tendencies but I’m not sure. My grandmother is definitely a hoarder. She wasn’t on TV show level, but she was close. My aunts old bed was always covered in clothes, and the dining table was covered with random nicknacks except when we needed that space for holidays. She had a second freezer and we cleaned it out one day. It looked like snow in there, but it was solid, and everything was spoiled. We cleaned a lot after my grandpa died, so it’s better now.
My mom was a hoarder, it definitely rubbed off onto me as well, useless things that dont matter litter my desk, bedroom floor and bed, but I cant get myself to get rid of any of it unless it begins to rot Hell I have a pumpkin from last year's halloween in my room, its fine now but im gonna have to throw it out eventually
I'm glad that you can recognize it in yourself, that a big help! If you think it would be good for you, talking to a professional could help you staunch those fears of letting go a bit. Just a suggestion, by no means am I trying to tell you how to live your life.
My dad was just telling me about some work he had to do the other day, this lady in a rich neighborhood with a massive 3 story house had so much trash her actual living space was the size of a bathroom. My dad had to duck down because of the sheer amount of trash on the floor, anyways when he went into the woman’s room it was FILLED ceiling to ceiling with used puppy pads that she used and just stacked. He said there had to be thousands. THIUSANDS
24:13 As someone who has suffered through bedbugs THAT IS CORRECT. We don't know how we got them, but they were everywhere, I was constantly covered in bits, and it took Y E A R S to get rid of them. Like a full house heat treatment is what got rid of them. Salute to you my friend because the smell of raspberries has been ruined for me because of those fuckers
I was caught off guard by the "Wish me luck" thing. I split my sides laughing. EDIT: and the sacrificial thing, that caught me off guard again. It is not my day man, I don't like being caught off guard, which is happening a lot. EDIT 2: "Solid to liquid to gelatinous", split my sides again. I will not give timestamps due to the nature of the time this is at that I am writing. EDIT 3: My cat room is a concrete room in the basement, no soft surfaces, the hard ones are scrubbed once a week, litter is changed every three days, and I take good care of it overall, though of course I do pay someone to do that now that I have a decent paying job.
Just looked it up, Clear Out is a tear gas grenade that's basically a spraycan that once you push the tab on the top down can't be closed. runs for about 30 seconds. That's the short version, click read more for the long version. Looks like it uses a 1% CS/1% OC mix, that is some *nasty* stuff. for those who don't know, let me explain. CS, or Orthochlorobenzalmalononitrile if you're feeling like blowing your word budget for the week in one go, is the classic tear gas. This stuff is a solid at room temperature, and is a mucus membrane irritant so strong it works on your armpits. Your eyes will instantly become irritated, feeling like you got sand in them, and they will keep burning like that for a good while after exposure ends. As you can imagine, this causes your tear ducts to go into overdrive and now you're a sad, sad person with nonstop tears. your sinuses are instantly going to start wondering why they feel like they're on fire and start overproducing snot. your lungs are gonna hurt like hell, and your throat's gonna be burning. It is not pleasant, and will take the wind out of most people. there are some people that can power through, but if you run into this stuff as a powder *do not touch*. it's gonna hurt for days. OC, or Oleoresin Capsicum if you're feeling fancy, is what you get when you take spicy peppers, dry them, grind them to a fine powder, and then use ethanol to extract the oils out of the powder. Once dried you're left with a red, waxy substance. This is OC, basically, it's the stuff that makes peppers hot. Scholvilles doesn't really cover this stuff, as that's meant for peppers, not satan's own seasoning. Get it in your eyes, they are going to swell shut. get it in your airways, and it's going to be painful to breathe. do either of these with the pure stuff and you're probably gonna need a trip to the ER. Now, you may notice that these are both solids, so how does tear gas get to be these big billowing clouds? Well, there's a few ways. Seeing as this says it's a 1% mix of both, and the warnings on the side of the can, i'd guess this has the stuff dissolved in a solvent and the grenade sprays this mixture in an extremely fine mist into the air. The solvent evaporates out in seconds, leaving microscopic specs of the stuff in the air that are light enough to just hang in the air like smoke, and this quickly will disperse out to fill a room if not a whole house depending on the size of the can. just punch clear out grenade into the search bar above to see what this looks like in practice. Got a good chuckle out of this one guy trying to say "It's not that bad." but he can't even get past the word not 2 seconds after it hits him.
I had to nope out of this one before the halfway point. It was just too gross. But I have mad respect for people who can do this cause it’s necessary, somebody has to do it.
I HAVE SMELLED A CAT HOUSE BEFORE I wasnt trained for cleaning hoarders homes but one our neighbors was this old woman who had a 60 yearold hoard she was about 90 (and because I know someone will ask no she didnt die in the house she died catching covid) I cleaned vacation homes and was hired by the womans daughter to just keep the kitchen and bathroom clean and usable. The floor was squishey and rotten from the amount of cat piss
55:31 THISSS if your bedroom or any room is getting junky and you look at it and think wow this is gonna take forever or it's impossible. Take small steps and make a plan.
Set up a timer of 10 minutes or make a small goal. Celebrate any noticable positive changes after even if its "it still looks like shit but it's BETTER" don't worry we'll take another ten minutes tomorrow and it'll be even better ❤
The worst smell I’ve smelled when going near a hoarders house is fox urine, I think there was a few foxes near the home but that’s one of the worst ever.
If you are seriously considering it, it's usually at leadt a state-wide thing. Try to look for what team would cover your area, then apply to that crew.
@@FallenCause I'm half considering it (but at the same time idk if I can handle looking at the messes, we shall see). I'll definitely check with my state for teams that might be hiring though, thanks for the advice!
I’ve had to clean a cat house before. Cat used an unfinished basement as its litter box. Only way to neutralize the smell was by entombing it with Killz Restoration. You know those horror movies where the monster can’t be killed, only imprisoned? It was like that.
This reminds me of my old Apartment. The roaches got so bad you had to watch your food and drinks... I went to drink my morning coffee and had a roach drop from the ceiling into it. and sometimes they would sneak in their only to surprise you when you realized you nearly swallowed one.
As a person that worked in pest control I know that some of the hardest bugs to get rid of are bedbugs and cockroaches, specifically the German strain which would add about $300 to the bill every treatment

I'm so glad that you're able to live healthily despite having to deal with that!
You never know...
Same... I keep things "just in case" and feel bad throwing away even a small bit of food.
@@j.p3289, I am the exact same way as you and the original commenter, I have a tote of stuff I "need just in case" which is nearly full. Time for a garage sale.
I don't think I have those tendencies. I just have such bad adhd that cleaning is forgotten. I always keep up on food and that stuff so my issue is dust and loosing keys and I'd cards
I can't get over how they called the job where the old lady fell "nan's last stand" lmaoo
I've met a horder cleaner at work I work in retail and said hey long day and he was talking about a job. He was so sweet and we were going on how difficult it must be for the person . Hats off to all those workers x
Aww 🧡
when i was installing home security systems a couple of years ago thankfully ive never had a hoarder house but ive helped other techs on a few just to get them out of there, but i did have one job where their dog peed on my brand new tool backpack... it smelled terrible for months i washed it like 3 times and coated it in baking soda then washed again then let it hang outside for 2 months
i learned a great lesson that day.
that their dog was a bastard?
@@Ld7snake And the bastards piss is a bastard.
I find it really interesting that the decayed ice cream smelled like low tide. It kinda makes sense because ice cream contains algin from kelp as an emulsifier!
I have now learned something new.

So I’m military, and I’ve talked to a few guys in or have been in bomb squads, and that was EXACTLY how every bomb squad guy is. They’re all cynical and make some of the best self deprecating jokes ever.
decomp was the strangest smell i have smelled in a house(went to grandmas house when i got the news she had passed), she passed on the bed and the odor that hit me as soon as i entered the house was fermenting fecal matter and a sickeningly sweet scent, hard to describe the sweet scent but i will never forget it, what made the odor worse was that the heat in the house was turned up really high. i got to see my grandma for the last time(she had passed sitting on the edge of the bed and was now laying down on her back but was still in a sitting pose)
fun story about grenades. i work at a papermill and many years ago we got a shipment of logs from somewhere down in europe and the metal detector on the conveyor belt stopped the line, when the operators went out to look, they found an old WW2 frag grenade lodged in one of the logs. the police where called and the bomb squad blew it up outside the building.
I once helped a hoarder move. It wasn’t easy but thankfully they weren’t anywhere near as bad as the places shown on the show or talked about in this video.
That's great and God bless!!! :)
Answering a question asked- "Clear Out" is a mix of OC (Oleoresin capiscum/Pepper gas) and CS (Chlorobenzalolonitrile). The "sand" was probably granules of CS agent, and it is indeed not something you want touching your skin.

For the question at #48:20 ~, yes clear out is a tear gas grenade. They are exetemely effective at getting barricaded suspects out of areas into the open.
That knee mortar is a common misconception. A lot of GIs thought that the mortar was braced on the knee, which resulted in a fair few broken femurs

Real ❗
I'm terrified of ending up this level of incontinence or hoarding or whatever. I feel so sorry for the woman who thought you guys were laughing at her :/. I really hope I never end up this incontinent when I get older, it's one of my biggest fears.
I remember watching hoarders
I have met a few myself back when I lived in Texas
Never a pretty sight nor a happy one
It's always sad and mostly depressing
And hoarding isn't always in their house where they live it can be a shed or a garage or even their yards
I remember climbing around on a hoard once when visiting a family friend
Wasn't pretty and little me shouldn't have been doing so but I did
Hoarding tends to hit a lot of the older folks
Especially when they are alone
It's a real mental disorder and it's not a kind one to the person who developed it
It's in some cases lethal
You hear about people getting crushed by moving mounds or pets dying in holes and not being found for years
It's nasty
And so many treat these people so horribly and think them dumb or lazy
They are not
They are ill and need help most of all
They don't enjoy living in squalor no one does they just can't break the hold it has on them either mentally or physically for the older folks
Yooo this one’s gonna be packed full of wacky stories I can already tell!
Love your interviews Azeal😊
💙💙💙
I hope it lived up to your expectations!
@@FallenCause You sure did! Actually it was informative and insightful about what hoarding is.
Not to the degree of any of the stories but my childhood home had a lot of stuff, and it was messy with lots of creepy crawlies😘
Also kinda having hoarding tendencies myself, I think I kind of understand. For me it gives me a weird sense of comfort. In a false sense of permanence sort of way.
And during my low points, I think it makes the internal chaos kinda make more sense by having a physical representation of the headspace.
I do have a hard time letting go of things like empty boxes, broken electronics, clothes, among other things
So I appreciate you being very compassionate and nonjudgmental with your clients, and at least trying to lighten their mood with goofy jokes.
Please come on again! Your new job sounds pretty interesting
I had the job to clear houses from dead people. It was a side job of the company that specialised in pest control.
I work there for three weeks to try out the job of pest control.
We were in a apartment in a multi story building to clear it out. (i think 6th floor or a bit higher)
I had the task to clear out the fridge because i was the new one and i had the honor to carry out the coutch where the person died on and layed on for i dont know how long.
For a moment I forgot video editing existed and thought you'd just done the Azeal plushie plug in the middle of the story lol
He did, it was amazing. I would know, I was the capybara plushie.
Azeal is so underrated. You deserve more subscribers for all you bring on the table dude!
Suddently taking a few gulps of spoilled coffee at school sounds like a beach day . . .
Fascinating. I was hooked beginning to end.

Love watching from time to time 'Hoarders' here in New Zealand, it gets screened once a week or something like that here.
I have now been convinced that aromatherapy is not quackery
51:03 I don't know where, but I remember hearing a story where a cleaner said: "This one's bad, get the purple stuff!"
And now I know what that purple stuff is!
I can listen to some heinous stuff and still eat while listening. This one was a challenge.
Who knows if one of these crews might have to go take care of all that too someday, just rinse and repeat.
listening to this while cleaning my dorm and now i don't feel as bad about the old minifridge i have to clean 😅

Oh wow, sounds like things are going well, congratulations!!

OMG, I didn't think I was going to get reminded of the Vampire Bunny story. I read that as a kid, I thought it was a fever dream I made up lmao
Memory unlocked lol
Honestly, same. I'm glad other based individuals are in the Bunnicula club and letting it be known. 😎
As someone who comes from a moderate hoarder house (my dad is a hoarder and I gave up trying to clean up after him) these kind of stories bring me an odd comfort because 1: at least it's not THAT bad... and 2: there is hope that it CAN be cleaned some day...
Oh god the roach coffee story made my skin crawl, now I need a shower from how much I itch just thinking about it
Cat houses were the exact reason why i thought i didnt like or want cats growing up. I genuinely hated the smell of a litter box and it didnt matter what the cat did to make up for it. Then my fiance and i discovered flushable litter and its been a godsend
Waste stations aren't designed to handle the bacteria in feline feces so I hope you're not flushing that as well
Clay, paper, and wood litters are notorious for their poor smell retention, but a much better option in my experience is silica crystal litter.
Man I loved Dirty jobs!

Understandable, tbh. Jobs are temporary, plushies are eternal.

Thanks for doing the interviews Azeal! They help spread information on a ton of stuff!

The comment about roasted turkey is accurate. I was a janitor for years and old feces can make that smell
My mom was a hoarder, it definitely rubbed off onto me as well, useless things that dont matter litter my desk, bedroom floor and bed, but I cant get myself to get rid of any of it unless it begins to rot
Hell I have a pumpkin from last year's halloween in my room, its fine now but im gonna have to throw it out eventually
Ive always been within the range of being concidered a hoarder, im like a crow i see something shiny in the garbage and its mine
Bunnicula was my favorite story growing up
it was my partner's too!
Great video, great guest, great stories. Good job man

This makes my fear of bedbugs multiplied by a million 😢

This was weirdly relatable because I get food smells and poop, spoiled things, other bad smells confused ALL the time
I HAVE SMELLED A CAT HOUSE BEFORE I wasnt trained for cleaning hoarders homes but one our neighbors was this old woman who had a 60 yearold hoard she was about 90 (and because I know someone will ask no she didnt die in the house she died catching covid) I cleaned vacation homes and was hired by the womans daughter to just keep the kitchen and bathroom clean and usable.
I was born without a sense of smell, so maybe this would be an okay job for me. I'll have to see if anyone in my town is hiring.
