He served as Vice-President of the "Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde" and the road next to the Musikverein is named after him(Dumbastrasse).

The theatre is small and the acoustic is superb, so flor listening, it does not matter much. I was at the rear part of the parterre, but still the sound was very good.But for viewing comfort, I suggest the parterre.
