I take some pliers and bend the hook so it’s just above those fins. It helped my hook sets tremendously. Love your adventures..subbed.

Sharpen ya hooks whenever you either missing hooksets or bites. I use braid mostly straight and I hardly ever have to set the hook, and since I sharpened each hook, I really just reel em on in once they chomp the bait.
