This is one of the easiest awning shade additions we have seen. Great example on how to do it. And it's true what someone said, if you have a wind sensor you'll have to turn it off when using it.
Chris, we got one for our bus and love it. Since our’s is a manual awning we don’t need to worry about auto retract, I’ve also noticed when we have it on, the wind doesn’t get under the awning as much and try to life it up. Great upgrade, have a good one.
Very nice addition.... All you need is a fan for the outside. Now I know what to get Agnes for her Birthday! Ok.... just kidding not for her birthday.....Christmas maybe. lol. Till Cocktails..... Be Safe and Be Well.
Chris … I think you need to turn in your man card … reading the directions before an install … Come on Man!! … I also used some water anchors (usually used on a pop up tent) to hold the bottom … especially when you are on all pavement/cement
What year is your RV just curious it’s really nice and what do you think about your RV at this time is it one you would still have gotten now that you been in it for a while because it looks really nice I was thinking of getting one just like it but curious what you guys think about it now thanks for what you guys are doing it’s helping me more on wanting to get out there
Ours is a 2018. It's wonderful and we've had only two very minor things happen. Knock on wood and fingers crossed it continues to not have issues. If we were to purchase again we would probably go a little smaller knowing now that we really don't use all the space. We also bought it used and that was one of the best things we did. Saved us a lot of money. You'll be there before you know it! Enjoy your travles.
Our new windows have screens made with similar material. It blocks 40% of the light and during the day, can’t see in from outside at a little distance.
Considered these before but we have an automatic awning retract system. It gets too windy, the awning shakes, and it automatically brings it in. I think we can do the awning like you did with bunnies, etc, but if the awning still retracts, how can we get around the shade messing up our awning roll-up?
Our neighbor just gave us an awning screen . Thanks to you, I know how to put it up. Thanks. You guys are just too good.
Your going to love it! Thank you that's very kind.
We love our sun shade. We use the bungee cords. Thanks!
It's a game changer! 😊
We love our sun shade. Makes a huge difference. We realized we needed one when I was going to school in Athens.
Omg, you definitely would need it in Athens. Last week was brutal there.

So very easy to install. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Safe travels. 😊
I like it. The ice in your glass will last a lot longer now.🤪 You guys take care.
Chris said ice in his glass is always important! 😁
Chris, we got one for our bus and love it. Since our’s is a manual awning we don’t need to worry about auto retract, I’ve also noticed when we have it on, the wind doesn’t get under the awning as much and try to life it up. Great upgrade, have a good one.
Hey Mark! This is one our best upgrades. Thanks for watching.
Nice upgrade. Definitely will help when you need a bit more shade. Tip...might want to turn off your awning wind sensor.
Thank you.
Nice when your on the beach 😊❤ we love ours!
Can't wait to try it out on the beach.
We have had one for years. Very good quality and very easy to maintain. Bungee is the way to go.
Only regret is we should have bought one sooner. Thanks for watching and safe travels.
Thanks for that review! I’ve always wondered how that worked. We will now be getting one!
We think you'll really like it. For us it was worth the investment. Safe travels and enjoy your journey.
We have been wanting to get shade screens. Seems like a quick and easy setup. Thank you for sharing this how-to video.
Very easy and took no time at all. We are really enjoying ours. Thanks for watching and safe travels.
Great video Chris! Loved the explanation and everything. It was awesome! It looks really good!
Thank you.
Great upgrade - that will alot cooler! Good job!
Danny and Lynn
We love it!
I have one also they're great. They also help the awning handle the wind better 👍🇺🇲
Nice! We agree they seem to handle the wind better.
great video and a GREAT upgrade to any RV!
Thank you. We think so.
Chris. It was great to visit at the RV Unplugged Rally. Hope to see yall on the road
Thanks for taking the time to stop and chat for a while. Looking forward to seeing you guys on the road.
Definitely prefer parks that you can choose your site. Sometimes it’s great and sometimes not.
When you get that perfect spot it's like hitting the lottery! 🙌
This is a great video! Love the screen.
Thank you!
Nice upgrade! I wonder how it will hold up in the wind? We will be watching! Safe travels guys! - Mike and Shelley
Thank you. So far it has been fine in the wind.
Great idea 💡 good job well done 👍
Thank you!
Yes that makes it very nice 😊
Well worth the money.

It has made a huge difference. Now we can actually sit outside no matter what direction our rig is facing. Until cocktails!
Great information 👍
Glad it was helpful!
Looks like a nice find.
Absolutely!
Nice. Do you have the wind sensor on your awning? What happens if it tries to retract while tied down?
We do have a wind sensor on our awning but for whatever reason it has not tried to retract while being tied down with the shade cloth.
@@oureverydaygetaway maybe it hasn't been windy enough😉YET....IF it is getting windy enough to be of concern better be ready to UNzipp it
Love mine! I have one for each camper. Lol
That is awesome!
Use some small carabiners. Cool upgrade
👍
Who was the manufacturer of the kit that looks great.
Never mind I found it. Thank you very much for the link in your description below my bad. Thomyt
No problem.
Hope the video was helpful .
Great job
Thank you! 😊

😂😂😂 That's a great suggestion. I (Katrina) would not have used the directions. 😁
I am thinking of using cheap lightweight adjustable straps
Let us know how they work.
I'll have to buy less groceries this week and get me one of those...LOL
🤣🤣

We find it keeps our walls way less hot and radiating that into the rig.
That's a great point.

That’s awesome!
How did you measure? Just the awning fabric side to side or the entire awning
Chis said to measure the width of the horizontal awning bar. Having this has made a huge difference in the times we can enjoy going outside.
Considered these before but we have an automatic awning retract system. It gets too windy, the awning shakes, and it automatically brings it in. I think we can do the awning like you did with bunnies, etc, but if the awning still retracts, how can we get around the shade messing up our awning roll-up?
We can turn our automatic awning retract system off. Not sure if this can be done on every rig.
@@oureverydaygetaway gotcha. And I meant to say “bunjees” not “bunnies.” 8-)
What do you do if the wind comes up? Can you roll the entire thing up or do you have to unzip it first?
Just unzip it and roll the awning in as usual. It's actually very easy.
We are sorry that you guys did not win RV Unplugged. We think you were the best couple there and sure want to meet you both some day.
Thank you for saying that. We would love to meet you guys on the road sometime. Safe travels.😊
What?? You had shade the whole time we were are TTO?? 😂😂😂 why weren't we doing cocktails at your site??
That’s were the best bartenders live!😜
