I think after running the brush through your hair you should lightly use your fingers to shake the root to further encourage the clumps to form and then scrunch. Also when you scrunch, gather ur hair from the bottom and scrunch up to the root. Thats what works for me anyway. I also have a dupe brush.

I’ve been using it since this video and I’ve been shaking the root to encourage the clumps after watching other videos. I’ve also been scrunching from the bottom to appreciate . I really appreciate you taking the time out of your day to give me some advice as I’m new to this curly girl journey. I wonder if the dupe brush is just as good as the bounce curl brush 🤔

@@EmbracingMyCurls I’m curious if they’re the same too. I don’t think it could be THAT much different being as they’re still doing the same idea. That’s why i got the dupe haha! But I did see they have a new one for volume they just released. I haven’t found a dupe for that one yet but being that my hair is more on the thinner side since having a baby and dealing with post partum hair loss I’ve been curious to try the new one especially since my hair is really long. I could use the volume which the new one says to give more of. It has smaller spaces therefore making smaller clumps.

Hi! I just came across your video after searching for comparisons on the Bounce Curl brush. The first thing I noticed is that you are using the brush wrong. You are supposed to have your hair go through the brush part first, then you put tension on the lock as you pull it through the comb part on the edge. That is why you liked the right side better than the left, you were doing it in the right direction there.

It’s all about trial and error, it takes time to learn how to use styling products

You need to add more tension while you’re running the brush through. The tension is really the key.

I’ve started doing that Angela, when I filmed the video , I was just testing the brush I’d never used it before . Thanks for your comment 💖

@@EmbracingMyCurls I have been using my Denman brush for a year or more but knew nothing about tension until about a week ago so I'm about the same. It was just something I had learned recently which is why I mentioned it. 😇

A good mousse will help bring out your natural waves and give your hair hold . That’s what I use with a few other products . I don’t really like gel . Thanks for watching

@HappinessSparkles you can get rid of that it’s supposed to make your hair crunchy and leave that cast if you scrunch your hair once dry that goes away 💖

A little coconut oil. Throw your head forward and scrunch your hair while using a diffuser on your hairdryer. Gives beautiful healthy shiny curls 😊
