Join me as I finally complete the Stratford Greenway from Milcote Station site to the site of the station at Long Marston. A lovely walk along this former line that last saw traffic in 1981.
Great video Pete. Once again you take us around the English countryside to places I'll never get the chance to visit and make the past come alive. Cheers very much.
An interesting video today. A walk back in time, for sure. The graffitied structures are a shame to see. Thank you for the comments as your walk was filmed. See you on the next, Pete! 🇬🇧🙂👍🇺🇸
It would be great if the Nth Glos & Warks Heritage people who operate the line from Broadway to Cheltenham Racecourse could extend up to Honeybourne then one could catch a train from Paddington to Honeybourne on the Cotswold Line then change to a train down to the Cheltenham Festival(& others)! I think this is their ultimate aim. Good to see you doing regular videos again Middy!
Thanks for watching and I would also love to see this line running again but I fear the dreaded lack of funds will see it remain closed. Would be a great and very useful!
A lot of those chunks of metal were old gwr broad guage bridging rail it was used a lot for postsecondary for trespass notices. The tall building with the seat in looks like a fog man's hut. Interesting video.
Thank you for watching and for the information. It's always interesting to me to try and piece together these old railways and there is always a abundance of things left behind if you are prepared to look!
Hi, those bins may have been for fire beaters, (imagine a broom handle with a 12 inch wide or so piece of maybe leather attached to it). Hot coals from a loco could have started fires, and the next train along would have stopped and put out stray fires.

Thanks Tim glad you enjoyed it. The next few videos will take you to a familiar place, but I guarantee it will be stuff you didn't know...

Thank you for watching and your kind comments. The next very short video will test your knowledge! Thanks again

Thanks for watching. That would certainly make sense as it's all open farm land. Good point and possibly a solution!
