- Hi everyone! I visited Amsterdam in mid July, although it was much colder than I had expected, I had fun trying different cuisines, went for a relaxing city walk and took the evening canal cruise. The scenery was quite a romantic and beautiful.

Thanks for the video, it brought me lots of memories, as I have been visiting Amsterdam more than 5 times during 00s.
A big shoutout to the Candy Girl !!! Watching this video is like taking a trip down memory lane for me, feeling quite nostalgic and emotional. I visited Amsterdam in the fall many years ago, at a time when there was no internet and cell phone. The Dutch currency was the Gilder. I toured the Heineken Brewery, met some interesting tourists and had a lot of free beer !!! Later I visited the Anne Frank house and Chinatown next to the Red-Light District. I also spent some time in neighboring Volendam. I had a lot of fun and came home with a plethora of fond memories. Look forward to your next video !!! ❤❤👩

Nice trip! Went to Amsterdam a long time ago... during my university days and still remember the visit well. Seeing Rembrandt's work in person made me fall in love with that art style. I know The Night Watch used to be on display there.
The Nightwatch is still at Rijksmuseum on display.

Amsterdam has a long history of tolerance. So you're quite correct. Centuries ago, when the Jews were evicted from Spain, they were welcome in Holland. As a major global maritime mercantile center, Holland was always relatively sophisticated and a world thought leader. It continues today.

I remembered when I was in Amsterdam , I have to say I was not impressed by the city , I found the city a bit dirty, a smell of haschich everywhere you go , I was nearly knock down by a bicycle , the streets are kind of narrow . The positive things about Amsterdam it is the canal that goes through the city and the atmosphere that you are in a big village. There are also it seems some nice museums but in every big cities in Europe there are some interesting museums.

The city is pretty but sucks to the teeth. It is super super crowded. Excited to go if you never been there before. But to go again is a big MEHHH.

What are you doing in Amsterdam? Amsterdam look wonderful and wet. The food looks delicious. I am surprised that there is a Chinese community in Amsterdam. I am curious as to why family decided to move to Amsterdam from HK. Is there a large Chinese community in Amsterdam? Do they have relatives living in Amsterdam?
When I travel I always look for a Chinese community, I miss my Chinese noodle too. Too old to travel now.
I learned long ago to step over negative people and their negative perceptions. They serve no purpose in my world. They are a non-intellectual so their negative comments are worthless to me. Don’t let negative comments bother you. Don’t give them any value, they are a non-entity, they don’t exist because they are worth nothing, and don’t put any value on what say. Their opinion is worthless. Be positive because you know who you are and they are just guessing just to make up a story to sell more news papers.

In the mid 19 century. Most Chinese set in California because of the 1849 gold rush. If they were not allowed to enter in America then it is Canada and Mexico was their destination. It was close enough so that they can sneak across the border.
I find it fascinating on how Chinese settle in all parts of the world. Now days the new generation of America Chinese take it for granted of our ancestors struggling to come to America.
