- The St James Hotel in Cimarron, New Mexico, was built in 1872 by Henri Lambert and was initially called Lambert’s Inn. Its saloon, restaurant, and 43 rooms witnessed at least 26 murders during Cimarron’s wilder days. Clay Allison, Black Jack Ketchum, Jesse James, and Buffalo Bill Cody have all left their mark on the St. James, as attested by the numerous bullet holes in the main dining room ceiling. The St. James Hotel is said to remain host to several restless spirits. Both the owners and the hotel guests will tell you that many unexplained events haunt it. It’s definitely worth revisiting. It could be a whole series if I wanted it to be. The people who stayed there are so huge in “Wild West” history. Definitely a great hotel in a great little town.

The double eagle in mesilla is haunted some other TH-camrs went and it was interesting. It was originally owned by a Mexican family (since New Mexico was Mexico before it was stolen) it has an interesting past. The mom killed her son and the maid when she caught them sleeping together.

Those checked "curtains" look like old Pizza Hut tablecloths. That tidbit about the personal chef for Lincoln is really cool. What a neat job that would have been, huh? I love all the history they have at St. James Hotel. Too cool.

WOW....what an amazing place! I remember when we were looking into booking our hotels for our trip to New Mexico and we looked into this place because it was haunted. Funny story.....so we have always kinda had a magic number and it is 18. Of course the first room we looked at staying in was 18 but to our dismay you couldn't stay in that room. Just curious what spirit box that you use? We have a couple of the P-SB7 but we noticed that yours looks different so was curious what kind it is. What a beautiful hotel! Whole shit I just missed you guys well some what. I had visited and stayed in room 17 for a night. The receptionist told me that a team had stayed the room that was resent and did a bit of search after being home for about a week. Not a pro at ghost hunting at all and only had an EMF, a video camera with no special features, and a recorder. I haven’t looked over the recording or the video tape yet but, I’m not sure if I caught anything. My mother may differ because the EMF was going off but, it was going crazy when when you put it near the wall. The only thing that happened to me is that I got the best sleep. That bed was softer then a cloud. My parents stayed in room 9 and had the worst sleep because the mattress was like a rock. I’m hoping to find something but, I droughts that I will. Especially since I’ve played with Quija board, called bloody out hundreds of times, and any other demons and nothing has happened. At all.
Nothing happened to me here but if you haven’t seen it you should check out my investigation at the Eklund hotel. I captured some interesting stuff over there
Looks like they have changed a lot since I was there about 15 yrs ago. As I was saying on another person's channel, I had a strange experience there when I dared a friend to stand on a chair and take photos into Room 18 through the crack above the door. I believe we were staying overnight in the Doc Holliday suite and about 4:00 am, I heard a camera and saw a flash through our transient window this happened about three times. Still can't explain it.
