- Nickelback inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame at the 2023 Juno Awards
The 2023 Juno Awards took place at the Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta on March 13. Hosted by Simu Liu, it included performances by Tate McCrae, AP Dhillon, Tenille Townes, Alexisonfire, Aysanabee, Banx & Ranx, Preston Pablo, Rêve, Jessie Reyez, a special hip-hop tribute featuring Kardinal Offishall, Haviah Mighty, Michie Mee, Mel Boogie, Dream Warriors, Tobi, as well as a performance from Hall of Fame inductees Nickelback.

@@keithwright5984 Ryan Vikedal was kicked out of Nickelback in 2005. I'm saying it was a class act of Nickelback to have him on stage with them even though he's not in the band anymore.

I'll be honest, being a Nickelback fan and more importantly an big Oilers fan from Edm since the 80's, it all for some reason brought a tear to my eye...best moment of the event by far!!

Ive really got to hand it to Chad and the guys! So glad they got in the CMHF . Nickelback got me through some tough times when i was coked out in kearl Lake...always the perfect tunes at every peeler joint i went to .

This band is the clearest example of how recording labels, radio conglomerates and marketing campaigns dictate "Popular Music".
To the shills who defend this Band, check out your local music scene for perspective on what creativity looks like.

The argument that anyone local has more creativity solely by virtue of being unsuccessful doesn’t make any sense. But the band thanks you because the snotty critics over the years have contributed significantly to the band’s relevancy. If being boring and formulaic makes them sell-outs enough to make them multimillionaires, they are at minimum smarter than their critics. But being the 11th best selling musical act of all time might possibility indicate a level of musical talent most others aren’t creative enough to match if they tried.
