  • Hello! Welcome to Mart's Garage. In part 32 of this epic saga: I continue to move at a glacial speed and have a go at putting some shape in at the rear of the Sill. I was pleased with how it went. The other job that needed doing in that area was the repair to the rear wheelarch. I was finding my feet with the shrinker stretcher and was pleased with my efforts. I did make some remedial cuts which worked well. These jobs lay the way to actually fitting the sill at long last. That will be the subject of next week's video so stand by for that!
    Don't forget: Keep it real. Keep it cheap!
    Thanks for joining me once again in Mart's Garage.
    Mart.

    "To be honest" I must agree it looks top notch. The red paint should indicate it passed final inspection.👍

    Solid repairs Mart, that will need minimal finishing to make final presentation. Good job, be proud. As others have said, your skills are progressing and I take it that that's one of the core reasons you took on this project, even after finding out it was somewhat more of an endeavour than you first thought. Let's ALL be real with it... these type of repairs and restorations are invariably 'greater' than we ALL anticipate at the outset! Ha-ha!! In ALL fairness, your attempting several challenges ALL at once with each section of this project. Tools skills, fabrication skills, project complexity and location difficulties are ALL being surmounted, with results I'd be happy with, not that I am any kind of 'expert'! You're going to have a solid, sound and very presentable 'Pop' when the grinding dust finally settles. Onwards...

    When you consider the state of the car I don't think you need to worry too much that the shape is a little of, what is the plan rat rod it super shinny or just a reasonable shape ?, Cant wait to see you create the other side.

    • @MartsGarage
      @MartsGarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers jag. I don't tend to plan things out but ratty and driving as a first stage with more cosmetic improvements later on will probably be the way I go.

    It's looking good Mart, if you just decide to paint it flat black (don't know your plans)a lot of the imperfections that bog you down will never be noticed.

    • @MartsGarage

      Yeah, no decision made on paint yet. Thanks for watching Peter.
