- Cus it just looks cooler! I took off the bumper and trimmed the rear quarter panel on my Ranger!
WARNING! Highly recommend you remove the bumper with a friend. I won't be responsible if you drop your bumper on your face! 😬😬😬 I am also a weightlifting coach and lift heavy/awkward things for a living.

Finally someone with an active ranger build!
There are lots of them that I know of. Just no one who videos them. lol
Gotta love it when youtube dosent send notifications and you randomly look to see if stronghold uploaded and he did lol
Ha! I actually wondered about that. You’re always the first person to watch and comment.
Dear ray, I plan on doing these exact same features on my 2001 Toyota tundra tomorrow. This was the only video I could find too deliver quick, precise and valuable information. From the diffrent grinding wheels you mentioned, too even the license plate light trick thank you. And keep pushing out useful info like this too us new off-road enthusiasts!
Glad you found it helpful!!!
Dude a pulled bedside vid would be awesome man 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
Definitely anxious for more content on this truck ‼️
I kinda like it the way it is.. but I can do the pull for the video and then undo it. lol. Stay tuned!
Mark your lines with masking tape. Easy to follow and helps to keep from damaging the paint
Lol. I did that on my Xterra. but i don’t care what this truck looks like. Sharpie was faster.
Besides. you can always sharpie the line a few mm before where you actually want to cut. you’ll smooth it out with the flap wheel anyway.
I work at a car lot and every time we get trucks that have a hitch with no key I just use a breaker car to snap the locking mechanism right off lol, surprisingly easy way to get em off. Love the finished look btw keep the content comin bro
Didn’t think of that! Thanks for the tip! I’ll try it on another one... I want to build a couple near model Rangers, too. Been working on these trucks since the 90s and we never videoed anything. it’s crazy how much people want this content. lol
This man's a Savage and I love it
Truck looks super good man!
Thanks!
Literally been waiting for MONTHS
Fine Stronghold...I want you to make a video showing how to pull the bedsides.
Also, is your rear on blocks or anything?
That's ONE request so far. lol. It has the factory lift block back there. i think it's a 2". I'm planning to get a full Deaver Race Pack and some extended shackles... but first.... Engine swapping my integra. lol
This vid helped me when I had to do this to my 2000. The bumper was crunched and so were the rear corner quarters. Looked so much cleaner after. Then eventually I got pulled bedsides.
Nice!
Can’t wait to see how you build the front bumper just got a ranger myself to make a fun little pre runner out of
Awesome!!! it's been 17 years since I've built anything. We'll see how it goes. hahaha
We want a pulled bedsides video💪💯
Yeah It would be great if you make a video on removing the bedside! Great video by the way, keep up the great work!
remove the bedside?
Nice dude! I want to cut my front fenders on my Dakota but I’m scared :/
Just cut less than you actually want to cut and do it in stages. if you mess up at least you have a few more tries. Good luck!
How do I have the exact same truck as you..even the same dent in the bed hahaha
hahah. it’s a pretty common color and problem.
Getting some 31’s on my 97 ranger stock suspension 🤟🏻
Same bro let me know how it looks
It will rub unless you get wheel spacers or wheels with the right back spacing. Mine rubbed on the lower valance on the front bumper, so I removed it
@@rayregnogarage i was planning on removing the front bumper, but did it rub on the back at all?
I’ve got 32’s on my 93 with no rubbing. Stock rear and skyjacker leveling coils.
@@Mike-cn1ei I’m thinking about running 31s on my 97, all I should need is leveling coils correct?
Looks good buddy! I like the ranger content. I own a 95 Ranger XL 4.0 4x4 myself
Nice! What do you have done to it?
@@rayregnogarage a ton. It was a Single Cab Long bed truck from the factory and one of the previous owners chopped it and mated it with a 2000 4dr cab. Half 95 half 2000. Then shorted the bed to about a 4.5ft maybe. Moved the fuel system etc. I'm currently trying to fix everything such as water leaks, and stuff. We have warn manual hubs, rebuilt trans. I have re done the entire wiring harness because it was a mess. I have LT265/75R15 Atturo Trail Blade MTs on stock 01 Explorer wheels.
that’s a cool idea. I loved my 99 with the 4 door. Much more convenient than the regular super cab
Future reference screw the saw zaw get yourself an angle grinder with a cutting wheel. I used a saw all the time then finally got a grinder only because i had to grind down some concrete then said wait a tic... Used it to cut off a couple things on my ranger abd it became my go to tool....oh u got a grinder lol
I prefer the grinder for most things. But sometimes the sawzall is nice for some sections.
Love your videos.
Thanks!!!
I have that exact same dent in the back on my ranger
it’s very common. haha.
Great Video!!
thanks!
My 2001 ford ranger has that same dent I thought it's weird cuz its behind the bumper...
ya, the bumper can flex though especially on the corner. It’s a common thing. there’s no side support for the bumper so it bends easily.
I recently acquired a1994 Mazda B4000. I haven't even registered it yet but i already love the truck. It's a 4x4 extended cab. With a bed liner and tool box. I can't complain. But the front bumper needs to be replaced. Does anyone know if a ford ranger bumper would fit my baby. I wanna bring this back to beautiful.
it’s the same truck. it should
@@rayregnogarage thanks. I'm gonna try it.
Is there anything you used to secure ur rear quarter panels from flopping in the wind lol
Ya. You can use some electrical conduit. flatten and bend the ends to the right angle. I did that 20 years ago on another ranger that I flared the bedsides on. will get to it on this truck eventually
More ranger please😉👍
Just got a new shop...with heat...hahaha. will be more motivated to do projects now. Did not like working in the cold. Stay tuned!
@@rayregnogarage awesome. My build is going on at the explorer forum.

Looking forward to seeing how you do the TTB
410Fortune...did you ever have an old bronco 2 and post on the old offroadrangers forum? I’m Regeeno
@@rayregnogarage yes, 410fortune has a BII and is my builder. I'm the lucky recipient. He is building my 07 ranger on the forum. I'm eddie money.
Small world. That was almost 20 years ago when we were on those forums together.
