Yeah there's a great story about how this happened. Here it is (copy and pasted from an announcement a couple years back) So this is admittedly a mistake on my part, but there is a good story behind why it came about. This series was being recorded July/August of 2022, which just so happened to coincide with my partner at the time informing me that they were leaving me for someone else (while I was on a work road trip to the east coast no less). So I had to drive back to the Panhandle of Texas, load up a few things, and move halfway back across the country to North Carolina (didn't even have a place to live when I left, just packed up and started driving). To add to that, my day job was at the height of the busy season, so while I was trying to find a place to live and buy everything other than clothes to have a livable place, I was working like a maniac. I also had to schedule another cross country trip back to pick up the majority of my belongings and drive them back to NC. As all this was happening, the audiobooks were starting to pile up from my Voice Over artist, and at that time I had to approve them in order to get them paid. I barely had time to sleep, let alone listen to the audiobooks, so based on the fact he had been reliable before, I approved them blindly. It wasn't until a couple months later that I realized Terrell had that accent, at which point it was far too late to do anything about it (besides tone it down for future books). If Terrell had been a new character, it would have been just fine, but with the established character it, well, yeah, haha. I got a good laugh out of it (as did the real life Terrell who the character is named for). So yes, that is the story behind Terrell and his mysterious accent.

It wqw due to a miscommunication with the new narrator that went along with me unexpectedly moving halfway across the country. So it was live before it was caught. It does get toned down and fixed somewhat in later books
It's truly sad and Pathetic how Western men bow down to their women.. and they wonder why their women have little to no respect for them and divorce them well over 70% of the time.

Some people just really, really overestimate their ability. If I had a dollar for every one of those I've dealt with over the years, I'd probably own a lot more high end vinyl, haha

Why does Captain Terrell have a Russian accent, when in earlier books he's portrayed as black? Just story telling continuity.
