What a beautiful day you had! I'm so glad you got a waterproof case for your camera...I would get so nervous whenever you would go in the pool without a case! Lol. Also, that sea lion riding the boat was hilarious! Another great video Sheri!
Me too. Too bad the case gave me some issues. I couldn't get the touch screen to work sometimes. Next time, it's the Scott way- GoPro all the way. Do you have the Hero 5 yet? we are in love with it. I crack up when my husband bosses it around with voice command! "GoPro, stop recording!".
We were on this very same cruise and enjoyed the great times onboard and onshore. Great work on your vlog and look forward to the rest of the cruise coverage. Aloha.
I think tendering is great. It can slow down getting off and on the ship in a port, but it is entertainment in and of itself. The able seamen that operate the tenders are actually very skilled. I've watched them do steering maneuvers with nothing more than the throttles.
Loving these vlogs!!! We were in Cabo last March for our Ontario canada spring break & also went to Medona beach:) I would go back in a heartbeat, I confess, I was a little freaked on the water taxis as it was pretty rough. My hubby and two teenagers were laughing at me lol! I am loving your channel!!! We've cruised Carnival four times, (Miracle 3 times & Glory once), Princess (Caribbean once & Emerald once -that was our only 10 day & woukd love to so more 10 days-probably when the kids are away at college lol, & RCCL twice (freedom of the seas & indeoendance of the seas). My hubby wants to try Celebrity next year, have you guys tried that line?
Forgive me, I'm a newbie. This will be my second cruise. Same destination (Princess, LA to PV, Mazatlan, Cabo). Going in March '18. How does the private water taxi work. I know you negotiated $10 r/t. I'm curious about the return trip. Do they just come back and get you at a pre-determined time? What if they don't? Is there a "ground" taxi to get back to the dock to catch the tender? Thanks!!
+christopher4644 yes and yes! That is an excellent question. The water taxi driver will ask you to remember the name of their boat- which will be prominently displayed on the side. The names are catchy like foxy mango or hot mamacita (no exaggeration)At the pick up time you set with the driver you watch the water for the boat and walk over to it. If you miss it, you can grab a land taxi back to the ship - you won’t miss it!
CruiseTipsTV Thank you for your quick reply. I’m looking forward to my next trip. I love your videos by the way. I’ve watched just about all of them and have gained a ton of knowledge. Thank you.
Hi Bethany! Yep, it's just a walk up. I don't think they take reservations. All of these restaurants are really casual and beachy. If they are busy (they usually aren't too bad) there are other choices all along the beach.
Funny thing... When you look at Google Maps at "Lands End", the beach on the east side is "Lover's Beach". The west side is "Divorce Beach". I wonder how that came about? Lol!
Haha! Yes, indeedy! Nobody should be swimming on that side. LOTS of deaths from people who think they can brave that side! Our boat drivers always tell us grizzloy stories.
Your videos are so watchable from beginning to end and dont tell anyone I even watch some twice - a rhetorical question - seems like the casino is a no no for video taking have you done anything with the casino as the topic?
+Maurice Zaner haha, thank u!! Right, no filming allowed in casinos so we buzz thru to film fast and move on. I don't gamble so I have never done a video on the casino experience but it's a very good idea.
We leave for this same cruise Saturday! (Ruby Princess from LA, SD, Cabo, La Paz, Loreto, and PV) we’re traveling with our 3 year old. I’m nervous about these boats in terms of getting in and out from the beach. Was that difficult?
A bit but the boat driver will help. My 76 year old mama managed with a little help. Have a wonderful cruise. Loreto is heaven. Have you seen our star princess vlogs? Same itinerary and wow, we loved it.
CruiseTipsTV were really excited about Loreto. We’ve decided to rent a car for the day as the cost is about the same as two cab rides. Our little one isn’t quite old enough for whale sharks or sea lions. But we’ve packed an inflatable boogie board that has a build in porthole for her to see the underwater creatures. We’ll see what we can see from the shoreline.
Sheri, I love your vlogs! Do you just use a smartphone for your filming? I'm looking to buy a good camera for traveling for all my cruises, but I'm not very camera savvy. I'd probably take more pictures than videos, though. Also, you are killing me with those desserts!!!!
+Heather Fasching hey! Usually yes, I use my iPhone 6plus, bit sometimes we throw in the GoPro. These vlogs are 90% iPhone and the camera is so good, even for stills, that I hardly pack my bulky Nikon anymore!
This video will give you a better idea of the process from start to finish. you buy a round trip ticket and just remember your boat name. It's pretty informal and your boat captain will remember you on the return trip most likely. th-cam.com/video/V097FTAbyUQ/w-d-xo.html
I am rewatching these vlogs. I really appreciate what CTTV brings to the table. I really enjoy your vlogging style, very engaging and informative.

You guys were rockin' and rollin'!! The tenders and water taxi were wild rides!! Wheeeeeeee!!
+bonnie bergstein it was wild Bonnie and the pics don't even do it justice! Hee hee!
We were on this very same cruise and enjoyed the great times onboard and onshore. Great work on your vlog and look forward to the rest of the cruise coverage. Aloha.
+Po Go you were? Did you stay onboard for Hawaii?
No...went to LV...then back home...to Hawaii. Cool vlogs...mahalo for the great information. Aloha
Beautiful scenery. Looking forward to more! ❤️
+Imacruza thank you for following along!
Arrival into port, and departure sunset awesome
Awesome Vlog makes me want to go back and do a cruise from California. Thank you for sharing your vacation with us :)
+Greg hartle (Travel By Greg) Hey Greg! Appreciate it. Yes, lots to offer over here on the west coast.

We did this same itinerary on the Crown Princess on 11/25/16. It was HOT!!!! Great reliving the cruise. Can't wait for the rest.
+meinkephoto oh cool! Do you mean 2015? I'd love to go in the crown.
Actually, the month was off. It was Sept. 25th of this year, so just a couple of months ago. Time just flies!
Thank you so much Sheri! I wondered how the tenders worked and now I know. :)

Thank you for your recommendations, on your next trip free beer bucket 😁
Muchas Gracias! 😎

+nake1975 thank u!
How cool was that with the seal and the Pelicans
Where did you guys leave your stuff when you went in the water at Medano?

Where did you get that Sea La Vie hat i see in some of your videos?? Going on first cruise in Oct on the Star Princess. I need that hat!!
Amazon but they don’t have them anymore :-(
I know this is an old vlog but is Billygans just walk up? Can I reserve chars or a cabana ahead of time? Doesn't look like they have a website!

+Jaymee Leah LeCavalier (hermhhogwarts55) water taxi should be $10pp round trip

i am really exsited for you to post day 5
+NeonBesties yay! Coming soon!
How much as the water taxi to this beach?
It depends. $4 each way is common, but you can negotiate.
That Corona looks delicious? looks like a beautiful sunset?
Oh, it was delish!
Hi,
Did you pay in Advance for the round-trip with the taxi boat ? If so how does it work on the way back ?

Hey!!! Anymore vlogs
+rayhuntermusic yes! Trying to publish tonight. Audio nightmare! Lol!! The next one is of LaPaz and it was so fun. Excited to share.
CruiseTipsTV oh ok!! Was just a little concerned not having heard from you in a while. Looking forward to the vlog.
+rayhuntermusic just posted - hope u like!
Do any of your fellow cruisers or people who work on the ships recognize you from your videos?
+Mark Santucci Yes, now and then.
