    I own two of these same machines. They work wonders and have saved so many discs! Most discs take multiple passes, and the red buffing pads that create the ugly swirls is how it repairs it. It basically is sanding off a very thin layer of plastic to bring the surface down to scratch level. The repair fluid is basically a plastic polish/filler to kind of smooth things out. The way the swirl patterns are on the disc does not affect the reading of data, it just looks weird. If you are patient and run the buffing pads for multiple passes, then use the repair fluid and pads the discs come out so much better. The only way these destroy discs is if you do it completely wrong and don't follow the instructions. :)

      @@jakeweber4257 Mate... It destroys discs.
      I'm working with PS1 games where the consoles lasers is very weak compared to computers. It makes the games unplayable with cutscenes choppy when using this machine.
      If you see the circle swirl scratches with your eyes physically, that means light is bouncing off.
      Which also means the laser light (used to read) is getting reflected around.
      I strongly advise using it any further, Jesus Christ.
      If you want one that actually works, get a JFJ Easy Pro. This actually fixed the discs I ruined with this machine, and you can substitute with car polish.

    You've got to be carefull with the red pads, if you use them, only one time, then 3 times yellow pads and 3 times blue pads. I'm happy with this machine, used it for years !!!

    Thanks for sharing, I am planinng in buying one of this machines, I wanted to fix a GameCube game, but good thing you already tested , and I will not put the GameCube game in there, it has a few scratches, but the game works fine.
    But I have like 200 dvds of anime that I downloaded from 2004, just yesterday I was copying my discs into a new hard disc, and from 50 discs, 2 of them had a small scratch songs there where like 2 to 3 episodes I could not copy, maybe other discs will have a small scratch. So If I use this machine, I don’t care if it leaves some circular marks, as long as I can read the information.
    But for a GameCube game I will not use.

      Do not buy this machine, the circular marks are scratches. It makes the readability worse.
      I later invested in a JFJ easy pro. That actually works and there are guides on using car polish as liquid. It also has a gamecube kit. Discs look good as new in some cases

      Cheers man, ngl I'm starting to like the new place, plus has latch locks and dead locks unlike the old place so it might actually be better security. I got a new replacement metal tripod today from an auction! So expect a new video on a cool telephone thingy sometime soon

    I got a JFJ Easy Pro since this video, use that using the car polish refills method by MrMario and you're basically set.
    That machine actually works and made the screwed up disks I ruined in this video actually fixed.

      Sheesh....500$ dude 😬 is there a way to do it by hand?! No toothpaste tips please 😂 wtf came up with that idea .... Thanks for the video I was actually thinking about ordering one of these from Amazon ...50€...

    BTH I skimmed the video but did you actually test if the disc worked? The manual for my machine says it will cause swirls but the disc will work better but didn't look like you actually tested and just looked at the swirls and assumed they were wrecked.

    • @Kippykip
      @Kippykip  ปีที่แล้ว

      I did test off camera but medievil froze on the intro cutscene almost instantly and also got failed to load at all a few times.
      It's toast, I got a new machine called the JFJ easy pro. That one actually fixed the discs and I still gotta make a video on it. I have the footage filmed though.

    Hey mate! You're in Australia too, you don't happen to do disc cleaning as a service by chance? A JFJ Easy Pro would be great I would imagine, but having difficulty finding one in Australia.

      I ended up importing the JFJ Easy Pro here since this video, works pretty well actually. I'm using it for PS2 games.

    For £50 that i paid for these are not as good as i thought they would be, some scrached discs require 3-4 turns using the pads 3-4 times each. ive managed to fix a few gae disc, but to be honest this machine cant handle many disks it is ok for light scratch discs, but mid to heavy discs it hopeless

    • @Kippykip
      @Kippykip  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Get a JFJ Easy Pro, I've been meaning to make a video on that machine since this video. But that one actually works. However unless you're in the US they're not cheap. I paid about $700 AUD for mine to import it with some extra fluids/pads
