Clariza Mae Sevilla she is the one that always brought light to his dark life.... i m happy that after all she has suffered, she got to live her dream of founding a family with the man/beast she loved... belle, the book-worm, what a wonderful character!
"I know a longer life isn't all its cracked up to be. You just get tired. Tired of everything around you turning to dust. In the end, all that's certain is that you end up alone."
No matter how many mistakes you make, how many times you fall, despite your weaknesses, despite your fears, Rumbelle showed us that love can transcend all that. That you really can be loved with flaws and all.
They were the definition of soul mates. Belle was a real one she gave her king the strength to carry on after her passing and she went into the unknown bravely. A man can only hope to be so lucky to find that other half
Belle had one of the best happy endings of this show ... She wasn't my favorite character but she definitely deserved this great last episode ... This episode was so much better than Emma's last episode !
I hate when someone falls in love with someone but they are immortal. the soul mate ages and dies while the immortal stays the same and is alone as their soul mate is gone, and even his/her children as they too will grow old and die without him/her :'( it tears me apart. this is a reason why I think people shouldn't seek immortality and have loved ones.
I always wanted the mortal lover to reincarnate. Like the immortal and mortal lovers souls were connected, so to balance out their death the universe sent the mortal back down over and over. And the immortal can recognize their soul, having the chance to fall in love all over again. Knowing that even if they die, the immortal won’t have to wait too long for their love to find them again. That’s how I choose the look at it.
@@Butmakeitgay Sounds like some "Seven Deadly Sins" mess with Meliodas and Elizabeth. It's a creepy relationship and the immortal should just be left alone.
Even years later Belle would still have a purifying effect on Rumple. He gave up the chance to be free of the darkness to keep Alice from suffering this pain. THAT is love.
He knew the pain immortality is. If you're alone, your heart can't hurt. But when you love, that's when you open your heart to suffering a wound you will have to carry forever.
I honestly believe this is the best ending for their love story for right now. I love Rumbelle and I did enjoy their story, through the good times and the bad times. But I honestly believe, this result with Belle passing away, will make a really good ending for Rumple's character. Him giving up his immortality and passing away as well, reuniting with Belle and getting his true happy ending with her to end his character and give Robby an amazing exit on the show. Belle was an amazing character on the show and she will be missed~
I presume Bobby is Robert Carlyle (Rumple) - but I've not heard someone call him Bobby before! He's an astonishing actor, I don't want to see him leave.
@Ryan and Adam Yeah, accidently called him Bobby instead of Robby. lol Well considering some of the characters like Regina and Rumple feel more like supporting characters to Henry. I don't feel Rumple doesn't have a big part anymore.
The fact that she fell off the lader and Rumple caught her just like he did in his castle when she fell trying to open the window when they first met made me cry
Yep. Didn't really care much about Emma and Hook or Snow and Charming since whenever they faced any trouble there was always some magical shenanigan to get them back together safely. Meanwhile Belle literally dies here and Rumple doesn't cheapen it by using bullshit magic to restore her youth/life, after they both spend a lifetime together so it's extra bittersweet...
Now I'm a teary mess. 46 year old man here, told my hubby "if my last words on this earth to you are not I love you, know this, it is only that I ran out of time."
@logiclanguagelearningFrench point me in their direction. Might need to go full on angry Lestat De Lioncourt. I do hope Christmas is full of love, laughter and making lots of memories to remember forever. 💜🥂
This was the most heart breaking scene in the whole show. We've seen rumbelle have their ups and downs but they always pulled through. Now I can go back to rumple and Belle moments and appicit them more because I now know they'll get the happy ending they both deserve with each other. And I hope rumple finds his way back to Belle even if it means he will have to die. I'll be sad to lose my favorite character but I'll be happy he's found his way back to his true love's arms. I'll miss rumbelle. RIP Belle 😭😭😭😭😭😭

These two are such phenomenal actors with how much work they put in these characters. You can really feel rumples heartbreak as belle leaves and with how she tells him that things will still be alright even after she leaves is just as painful but in the best possible way
Belle was the only one who ever saw the man behind the beast that Rumple was. This series was something else. Made me feel some type of way. All my favorite fairy tale characters in one show. I will miss it for sure. Never wanted it to end.
I think this scene right here showed more than any other scene how much rumple really loved Belle. Belle was his life, his reason for living, the only reason he might've even considered giving up his power is for Belle. I think in this scene he's kind of back to original rumple before power. Even with all the power he had he still couldn't save Belle or make her young again, and by letting her die he showed that he truly loved her more than being the dark one. Amazing and powerful scene by both actors.
Belle is your classic Disney Princess, showing us that there is more than being the bad ass type of female character to empower women. She was smart and courageous and not afraid to face the villains even though she knows she's weak as a person, she was still able to go toe to toe with some of the shows Villains.
This acting, this episode was so perfect with them, I cried so much. Beautifully written, fantastic acting (which they always are fantastic actors but this episode hit home)
I like what they did with rumbelle a lot better than with captain swan. We know they lived a long and happy life together and will be reunited in the afterlife, but with cs they got barely one scene together and then left. I’m honestly glad I’m a hardcore rumbelle shipper because if I had dedicated all this time watching this show to CS, I would have been pissed with the short ending they got.
Jennifer took away those chances to make their story last.. Thats why Im waiting for some MOVIE showing their life together and kids and mabye one little adventure. We need ONCE MOVIE to move on. Bc Im so dissapointed with s7 that I need that movie. I want to see Regina happiness and for example Snow and Charmin seven children bc why not.😁😁😁 I could write some script.😁
That is the intention to be Alyssha said - also their house is almost identical to Carl and Ellie’s in the Pixar movie, and in the compilation earlier this episode when they move in together and love their lives, the soundtrack is taken from a very similar scene it up. And the part where Gideon leaves I’m pretty sure is played at the same time Ellie realises she can’t have children
I said the same thing as well. The music during their montage of her growing older sounded very much like the music in the beginning of Up and i kept screaming "don't do this to me Disney. You did it with Up... Don't do it again."

This is the ending I always hoped for for them: finally, just being happy with a simple life together. I hope Rumple can rejoin her someday, having kept the faith and staying true to the good man she helped him become.
I actually cried during this scene, belle throughout the entire series was such a key character you never expected her to die but it really made t impactful
I went to rewatch OUAT and found this video on youtube. I must say, Belle and Rumple's story is the most bumpiest among all the couples in OUAT. Seeing Belle die made me cry a ton, I really love their story full of trust, betrayal, truth, and lies.
They are literally also Carl and Ellie, as the writers had decided (not kidding). And if in the original movie, Ellie suffered from a miscarriage, in OUAT, Belle/Ellie had Gideon.
That is 100% intentional. Carl/Ellie's house: vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/disney/images/0/07/Up-disneyscreencaps.com-267.jpg Rumple/Belle's house: vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/disney/images/8/81/Once_Upon_a_Time__-7x04-__Beauty_-_House.jpg
Robert Carlyle is truly a master at his craft. He played a character that was neither good nor evil. Surrounded by darkness he still strived for light. Like a moth to a flame he got close but sometimes he became afraid and fled. I never believed he was a coward as it took bravery to desert the army to be with his family. His birth family abandoned him his mother father and eventually his wife. They left him for power for youth for the promise of some thing better. But still while keeping the illusion of “dark one” he used his abilities to make deals …he weaved a story together with a failsafe. This was 100's of years in the making. It’s likely he had nightmares about both the time he first went to Nederland through a bean portal and when he was separated from his son. Only he regretted hesitating and Peter Pan did not. In fact he was proud of himself ….Rumple believed himself to be unloveable as by the time he met Belle he was isolated and his name “Dark One” was well known to all. But Belle saw him differently she saw him as human and someone worthy of love. I’m sure he wanted to be loved but he was afraid to be separated from his son Bae forever. So he pulled away and next thing he knows Belle is captured held by Regina …he was soon captured by Charming and Snow yet this us what he wanted ….and soon the curse began and time stood still until the princess returned …
I love how you can see rumple wants to be man, but know belle is right. That he would have wasted the rest of theirs lives together finding a way to save her. perhaps until it was to late. Belle was always great with him, she knew him better then himself. I love that even if this season was wonky (Even by ouat standards) it finally made rumple a hero, in a way to me at least returning him to the savior he was born to be... i think belle somehow always saw that in him, a destiny pulled from him..... its so amazing how this series added onto itself, but always looped back as well, it may have made it confusing but after watching and rewatching when each new season came out over the years i cant help but love all the little details I notice with each new watch through. i swear this show had all i love in it, even if i didnt like how they adopted it. I even had a theory that the horned king might make some kind of appearance in this season to take up the role of the dark one breifly but it never happened... definitely could have been the spark to keep the show going if they did it right
*_I know this scene is really sad, but they got their happy ending. Death is a natural thing, and that's what makes Rumbelle so beautiful. Belle lived her life to the fullest and died of old age, with the person she loves. That is such a happy ending...and since there's quite clearly an afterlife in this show, they will find each other again one day._*
Oh my God I remember that scene it made me cry so much and I cried just re-watching it because it made me cry especially seeing rumple still skin cry or clearly loved her
*Once Upon A Time* remains one of the absolute best shows to ever have been created (6 seasons). How wonderful it would be to have a "where are they now" type movie on Disney+ showing Emma & Hooks daughter, Baby Neal, Henry, and all the others.
Let me tell you a story dear. Once upon a time, there was a beast who took a girl prisioner, and he fell in love with her and then he let her go and that is when the girl realized she loved him too. He thought he would never see her. But in the end, she came back to him, more than a few times. I remember that story. See, let me go once before and we found our way back to each other. You are a good man Rumple, your heart is pure, you will find the answer you need to get rid of the dagger and you will find your way back to be reunited, I promise.
Their story is one I will always adore. It proves that not every true love is perfect and that sometimes you have to fight for it. In the end, everything falls into place and you can live happily ever after.
This show is guilty for making me cry more than once in various seasons. This one made me sob the hardest though. To realize that one of my favorite characters in the show's story was over just broke my heart. I love Belle for she is one of my favorite and most relatable Princesses in Disney and to see her start her next journey just made me cry my eyes out.
Ever since I was three and saw "Beauty and the Beast" for the first time, I have seen myself as Belle. The girl who read voraciously, the girl who was brave enough to become a prisoner in exchange for her father's freedom. She was my favorite character on OUAT and Rumbelle was my OTP. I never cared that much for shipping honestly, but I couldn't resist. I never gave up on Rumbelle; giving up on Belle having true love was like giving up on me finding true love. When something happened to her on OUAT, it was like it was happening to me, so watching this was almost like watching myself die and not just a favorite character. Fun fact: one's favorite character is often a reflection of who that person truly is. Belle was no surprise to me. 🙂
Me reading comments if people crying over these scene "pfff not even sad" then the music and the flashbacks come in : *me rolling and crying like a baby*
Couldn't even watch the flashbacks the first time around because I was so blinded by tears at that point. This was one love story throughout the series that had its greatest challenges and, at the end, the greatest reward. That's what makes Belle's death so sad; that it signifies the end of such a hard-earned love between her and Rumple. I've no doubt they'll be together again. His heart may be as dark as night due to the Dark One powers, but his soul is pure with his undying love for Belle.
That's him. Absolutely convincing in all his roles. Whether as a gay man, dictator, leader of a street gang, scientist, unemployed steel worker, overwhelmed family man, zombie, drug dealer, etc, etc. In my opinion the best of his generation...
@@soixsantes Definitely. Rumpel's/Gold's character is far more complex and layered than the other villains, as is his story of how he got to be what he is.
It’s amazing how he makes rumple so villainous and evil, yet a perfectly lovable imperfect man. I think rumple is supposed to represent humanity- the internal fight we have between good and evil, overcoming our dark side, and finding the light we have within.
@@476233 That's true...but not everyone finds the light. Robert shows Rumpelstiltskin less as a beast and much more as a lonely, sad and also vulnerable man. On the one hand he longs for love, on the other hand he knows that it makes him weak and vulnerable. It's great how Robert can express this primarily through his facial expressions and voice. A critic once called him one of the best actors of his generation, and that's the truth.
Belle and Rumple’s relationship both started and ended with her opening the curtains.
*cue the tears*

That is 100% intentional. Carl/Ellie's house: vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/disney/images/0/07/Up-disneyscreencaps.com-267.jpg Rumple/Belle's house: vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/disney/images/8/81/Once_Upon_a_Time__-7x04-__Beauty_-_House.jpg
Even the music reflected Up😭😭😭😭
They even had Carl & Ellie’s song playing in the background of one of the scenes
Your a good man, your heart is pure ❤😭
yes, in fact, it begins finally to become what he was destined to become at his birth "the savior"
but seeing belle die at broke his heart
😭😭😭 This scene keeps making me cry so terribly... what a great acting, especially from Robert. He couldn't stop crying after the shoot.
@@borsteligel4862 for me this is one of scenes the most saddest of the series
@@soixsantes
Yes for me too.
I agree with everything you said, you are right
Never seen the show
but was still brought to tears.
I love how this show was about redemption and not giving up on the ones we love, brings a tear to my eye just thinking about it.
Holy shit just rip my heart out why dont you!!!! Robert Carlyle NAILED this scene. Probably one of if not the best performance hes given for the show
I love how you can see rumple wants to be man, but know belle is right. I even had a theory that the horned king might make some kind of appearance in this season to take up the role of the dark one breifly but it never happened... definitely could have been the spark to keep the show going if they did it right
I agree with everything you said, you are right
*_I know this scene is really sad, but they got their happy ending. Death is a natural thing, and that's what makes Rumbelle so beautiful. Belle lived her life to the fullest and died of old age, with the person she loves. That is such a happy ending...and since there's quite clearly an afterlife in this show, they will find each other again one day._*
I always cry seeing this scenes
me too this scene has broken my heart.
i loved belle, she was one of my favorite character
and i have a disney song for her
Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas:Stories
This scene along with the one when Regina's father moves on to a better places, are the saddest and best scenes of this show. My opinion...
Everytime this video shows up in my feed I always watch it and end up crying. 😭 Rumbelle forever!
Makes me cry every single time! I love it so much! They did it right ❤️ I miss this show so much 😭
Oh my God I remember that scene it made me cry so much and I cried just re-watching it because it made me cry especially seeing rumple still skin cry or clearly loved her
me too this scene me made cry, it was so sad
RIP Princess Belle
this scene is so sad.... but they are amazing actors
true, This is one of the scenes the most saddest of the season 7
I just watched this episode and this scene had me bawling, the fact that they parodied Up makes so much more sad, Rumple needs a hug ;-;
*Once Upon A Time* remains one of the absolute best shows to ever have been created (6 seasons). How wonderful it would be to have a "where are they now" type movie on Disney+ showing Emma & Hooks daughter, Baby Neal, Henry, and all the others.
My heart just broke
Let me tell you a story dear.
Once upon a time, there was a beast who took a girl prisioner, and he fell in love with her and then he let her go and that is when the girl realized she loved him too.
He thought he would never see her.
But in the end, she came back to him, more than a few times.
I remember that story.
See, let me go once before and we found our way back to each other.
You are a good man Rumple, your heart is pure, you will find the answer you need to get rid of the dagger and you will find your way back to be reunited, I promise.
This scene is as beautiful than sad
Their story is one I will always adore. It proves that not every true love is perfect and that sometimes you have to fight for it. In the end, everything falls into place and you can live happily ever after.
The montage started and it mimicked Up and immediately I knew it was for a reason and I started EFFING SOBBING IT'S SO DAMN SAD
I thought the very same thing
I knew what they were doing the moment the music kicked in and my brother I both lost our shit because we both remembered what happen to Ellie in Up
My mum was next to me on her phone and she still cried with me!
Robert Carlyle is outstanding in everything he does!
Belle Now it's time to let me go Rumple belle I can't I'm scared . My heart broke at that part 😭
Crying now 💔💔 I'm so happy though that there's more to their story and a real happy ending
yes, and belle dies in peace after having lived happily with his family for of years
Goddamn it that part when Belle says it’s time to let me go……… just shut the door and let the water works happen 🥺🥺🥺😢😭😢💔💔💔
the death of belle is as beautiful than sad
I’ve never cried so much watching anything... seriously this killed me I was practically bawling
me too this scene me made cry, it is too sad
belle was one of my favorite character
I stopped to watch OUAT at season 5. But here I am, ugly crying 😭 this is a beautiful scene and was so emotional watching all those old scenes ❤️
I m crying for a week....the most beautiful ending in a love story 💗
I hate this scene. Because I always cry the same time Rumple does😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Same.
They killed my favorite character what the hell
I agreed 👍❤😢😢😢😢😢😭😭😭😭😭
You aren't alone, R.I.P Rumpelstiltskin, "All magic comes with a price. Guess it was finally my turn to pay."
Belle's my favourite character and Rumple's my second so I dealt with losing both of my favourite characters in one season :) *cries*
@@verondagillis3032 belle is my fav disney princess this broke my heart
yeah, me too i love belle and Rumbelle and forever
Rumple has it the worst, due to his immortality, he loses everyone he ever loved.
Because he killed his mom and his dad
They were monsters. They embraced immortality at the cost of loved ones. Rumple detests his immortality; he wants badly to die
Tears. Every. Time.
me too this scene has broken My heart
I love this scene so sweet and dear
true, belle dies normally, happy and at peace
and belle was one of my favorite character
The superior live-action Belle
I keep forgetting how much this makes me cry. When Rumple started crying and begging her to come back and not leave him I lose it.
Belle died noooo
Evil Prince everyone dies
Way to rub it in!
Time to party, the more people die, the happier i am 👹😈

I stopped watching a few seasons in but still cried like a baby.
Me reading comments if people crying over these scene "pfff not even sad" then the music and the flashbacks come in : *me rolling and crying like a baby*
Xuagram2405 same I watched this again and this time the tears started before the video started
Amazing actor
true, robert carlyle has been perfect in the role of rumple
That's him. Absolutely convincing in all his roles.
Whether as a gay man, dictator, leader of a street gang, scientist, unemployed steel worker, overwhelmed family man, zombie, drug dealer, etc, etc.
In my opinion the best of his generation...
@@borsteligel4862 yeah, and in the series, rumple is the best villain
@@soixsantes
Definitely.
Rumpel's/Gold's character is far more complex and layered than the other villains, as is his story of how he got to be what he is.
@@borsteligel4862 true, And his first child baelfire was the reason for which he wanted to become the Dark One
this scene made me bawl so hard at 1 am omg

Robert Carlyle is one of the most amazing actors…
true, he has perfectly embodied rumple
and i loved discover the story of rumple, it was as dark than fantastic
It’s amazing how he makes rumple so villainous and evil, yet a perfectly lovable imperfect man. I think rumple is supposed to represent humanity- the internal fight we have between good and evil, overcoming our dark side, and finding the light we have within.
@@476233
That's true...but not everyone finds the light.
Gaaaaaah, when he said „Belle" at the end omg 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
So I watched this at 1:30 am thinking it was going to be cute and ended up crying my eyes out..why!!! 😭
