Once again, an amazing video! Thank you Jeppe! I'd like to ask what if document is in different language than English? Can Document Understanding handle it?
Thank you for the fantastic video; it was incredibly engaging and informative! I have a question: How does one deal with handwritten entries in documents? For instance, if you have a PDF file with some fields filled out by hand, what's the best way to read and extract this data?
That's a GREAT question, and all I have to give is a not-so-great answer. I don't have practical experience with hand-written stuff, but on paper (pun intended) it shouldn't make a difference. If - as it sounds like in your case - we're talking about a filled-out form, Document Understanding should be fairly good at recognizing handwriting. Give it a shot and let us hear what happens :-)
@@UiPathwithJeppeI can confirm first hand it will not really make a difference, UiPath's own OCR engine will do a pretty good job with handwritten stuff. If any issues, they will come from misaligning (visually speaking) or terrible handwriting, like doctor-terrible. Personally what I've always found more difficult with DU is how difficult to understand as a whole it has been along time, and I can sense how UiPath is making a real effort in that direction, with modern projects and all. The simplicity and straightforwardness of this video shows :)
good one
Thank you, glad you liked it :-)

@@johnplagianakos400 from my experience, yes, no problem.
