- Telling my parents abroad that they’re going to be grandparents for the first time! This video is all about the moment my family found out we’re having a baby. This is how we told my parents I'm pregnant and how they reacted to becoming grandparents, surprising my family after years of waiting secretly for this announcement (my mum’s reaction was emotional and priceless!). We recorded us calling my British parents from Japan with my positive pregnancy test after worries about infertility and going through hormone therapy, so a baby announcement was the last thing they were expecting and they had the best surprise reactions!

Unfortunately, I have also inherited the emotional crier gene, so there's next to no hope for our child 😂. It's tough being so far away from my family, but I really am thankful for modern day technology that we could share this moment with them the next best way! 🥺❤️

For years, despite being a genuine fan, my comments have always been ridiculous and all I do is try to make you laugh, but just for this one comment I’m going to drop it and say how absolutely thrilled for you both I am. This is AMAZING news!!! I watch all your videos, my wife some, but as soon as I saw you’re pregnant both of us couldn’t believe it. We have a miracle toddler who was also the miracle result of some problems so I know how you feel. You have a support network I’m sure but if you guys ever needed advice or anything please reach out.

I’ll tell you something. Japan gets some things wrong (like banking and pizza) but with health care and helping new parents from week zero to birth they are ON IT M8. We used a very good hospital but honestly I was shocked. The level of care here is ridiculously high and they really don’t mess around. My wife and anyone I know who’s had a child here has nothing but praise. We felt safe every step of the way and they never leave you worrying.
The advice I have is more like common sense I suppose but it’s just that you and Bear stay tight and work as a unit. The good and unfortunately bad things that may come during pregnancy we can’t control, but we CAN control the teamwork with our partners and the love/support and de-stressing that comes from that.
When my wife was overwhelmed I stepped in, when I was tired she let me rest, we learned together and even now our little one is 3 we know for sure this has made us somehow even closer. The newborn stuff is long gone and now we see him smile, tell mummy he loves her and we see him scream in excitement when we buy him a new toy. It’s the BEST. You’re going to love it. I don’t know if you even can because you’re basically celebrities at this point but please pm me if you ever want advice I know my stuff.
