Sarangkot is a small village on the hill to the north of Pokhara’s Lake Phewa. It’s where the dozens of colorful paragliders that you can see swirling above Pokhara take off from. It’s also a popular sunrise and sunset destination, because as well as having impressive views down to Pokhara and the lake, it also offers astonishing views of the enormous snow-capped Annapurna Himalaya to the east and north.
On clear day from Sarangkot you can have awesome view of mountain range, better then from Fewa lake. Early morning is the best chance, but the skyline can change quite quickly. In April some days the sky was hazy even early morning. You can also book a tour taxi for a sunrise tour (taxi usually 2000-3000 NPR) and on the day I saw a clear sky. You can also take the cable car for 1000 NPR (about 20-30 min walk from the lake side area. . You can also rent a motor bike to go there or just walk up as part of warm up for the trek.
