They are Amazingly smart and so loyal. Our first was " Catdog" who was with us for 23 years before he passed & stayed healthy and active right up until 2 days before we lost him. My heart was shattered, he was my best friend, my companion that followed me EVERYWHERE and the smartest dog I've ever met. So it didn't surprise me when 6 months later, our second Blue heeler was adopted and promptly named "Blue" for his beautiful baby blue eyes. 2 years later he is a bigger, clumsiness version of "Catdog ". We have 8 security cameras and already he let's us know if ANYTHING moves on any of those screens. They are way smarter than alot of people I know ,lol. And is the world's best guard dog, and they have a special way of sensing how you feel and try to cheer you up. My new best friend and loves the outdoors. And chasing anything that runs. He's been sprayed by skunks at least 6 times already, they have loads of energy and he l Ioves taking me for a walk, lol

I have a border heeler. I’ve had two cats in the past, never a dog. Got her as a rescue at 4 months. She is almost two now and wow. What a great dog. She is very protective, fun, high energy, by my side all the time, very good listener. She likes her routine but is ready to go wherever whenever. Never complains lol. An amazing dog and friend.

loyal to the max; VELCRO to the max; super-smart (I also have a Belgian Mal and have had a wonderful Rottie); wants to play; sweet; but can be very tough and take no prisoners; not straight-line quick but 0-to-60 in a nano-second; instant bursts of speed; great swimmer; great at Frisbee; trainable; great at everything

I use to be a Narcotic Canine (K-9) Handler for the government. I never personally ran an Australian Cattle Dog as my canine in the performance of my duties, but I can confirm they are bad ass. I worked with one that had no bounds and was like Michael Jordan of the dog world. They are quick and can jump high. Super motivated, but the ones I was around were super loyal and a buddy:) Just my take...

I have two, and they will not let me out of their sight. When I say "go to your house" they go right into the kennel boxes without any argument. When the sun comes up, they are relentless to wake me up. When they want to chase something, I say "STOP, lets go this way" and the are pretty good at obeying my commands. These are great dogs.
