Bar none, THE BEST BREED ON EARTH. Mine lived to 23, dying this week after a grave virus. My life will never be the same without him.

Wow, our Blue Heeler died last week a couple of months shy of 15
I’m in love! The speckles and eyepatch are superb. We had three reds until Oct”19, only two left now (one of which turned 11 today whilst the ‘youngster’ is 5). Such a fab breed.

I have a red healer also. She is a little over 6 months old. She is wonderful. She can also find stuff to get into in a blink of an eye. Gotta keep them busy, or they will find something to stay busy with. Hahaha She is a gem and love her to pieces. My Dixie.💞💕💞

I had a red heeler that disappeared we think he got too out by a cougar. Oh man, was he the greatest dog we ever had! We miss him so much so smart and such a character. Did not like anything out of the ordinary around our house. Red heelers are hard to find seems like non the less awesome dogs.
I have one named Loki, he’s the best dog one can ask for, even if he bit me multiple times, he’s my best friend and it’ll stay that way, her cute, loyal and just a blast to have as a dog.

So cute ! I have a red one too! He goes all day , loves my mom but grabs her pant legs sometimes and can get very rough at times when he doesn't get what he wants . Love him !

I know a old vid. My red female is 18 months old. She is on the small end of the breed at 31#. Will be breeding her with our red male in around next Christmas ( meaning she will be over two ) .
I’ve owned Rotts for 30 years an this is our first Heeler.
They are a great working breed. Our female works the goats and a cow from time to time. .
She gets so excited when she sees a herd of cows.

These aregreat dogs but not a city dog for sure. If they bond with you, you will have a forever friend. Have to have time to pal around and teach them you are the boss and give him a job. Like all herd dogs, they need a job to do for you or they are unhappy critters. I just love them! Stocky dogs are cow and horse dogs, lankey tall ones make great pig dogs in stock yards and farms. They will protect stuff and family but will have a close bond wiith one person.
Definitely are a city dog. For the right person.

What you officially have there (as defined by the Australian Kennel Club of NSW) is a young red Australian Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog. The older one is a regular standard ACD. There's a difference and are typically not shown in the show ring together as they are different breeds.
Did your heeler grow fast? My blue heeler is only 3 months and she's a mix but mine is so long lol
