What happens when people lack actual human interaction.
Honestly I'm kind of upset about Overwatch trying to save face after their disastrous steam release by sponsoring our favourite talents.
This is 2 weeks old, so I doubt I'm going to say anything new, but I want to anyway.
I don't care if the girls and boys decide to collab with one another. They're adults, that's their choice. I *do* think it's funny that the people who would lose their minds over IRyS even breathing the same air as a guy are... guys. If she's not going to interact with the guys who are essentially her goddamn co-workers, what makes you think she's going to interact with you, and you alone? In the immortal words, "She's not going to f*ck you, dude."
The next thing is much more obvious, but those SC's she's talking about are clearly just trying to stir up trouble for both her and the boys. If these people really *were* fans of IRyS, they wouldn't care this much. "Please think about your fan's feelings!" is a ridiculous thing to say to her when they don't care about her's or any of the talents to say that without regret.
I'll admit, IRyS is not my favorite member. I certainly don't dislike her, and I'll watch her every now and then. Compared to other members I haven't gotten that "click" when you find that new fav. That being said, she doesn't deserve this, and neither do the boys, or the rest of the girls.
If a Holomem is just genuinely not interested in collabing with the Stars, then I'm perfectly fine with that; while I'm always up for more interaction between the two branches, I understand and respect the fact that it isn't something that interests some of the talents, particularly on the end of the girls. What I'm not fine with is the fact that some of the girls are clearly scared to even be tangentially associated with HoloStars, in fear of the backlash that they would receive. It pisses me off. Like I said, if they don't want to collab, then that's fine, but if they do want to, then they should be able to pursue that option without fear of potential harassment for it.
Although I watch a lot more Hololive than Nijisanji, one thing that stood out to me that I really liked was that Nijisanji members seem much more comfortable collabing with each other, regardless of gender. Not that they don't get some backlash from some parasocial fans, but at least it seems like less of an issue for them. I really like that group vibe I get from them and how they seem more free to collab with the people they gel with most.
Some of my favorite Holocollabs are with the Kronii, Calli, Magni, and Vesper. They just had such good chemistry playing together and the saltiness from the games was so entertaining. Best wishes to Magni and Vesper. I really enjoyed their time in Holostars.

@@chipmunkm4n agreed, but I think it's the idea that they are more marketed as idols here. That seems to have an impact on the parasocial interactions for a lot of people who somehow get jealous and shit.... Oshi no ko weirdly enough opened my eyes to this concept because of how people view idols in japan. I think this has bled over to the rest of the world. Just my hypothesis though.
It might be better on the jpside and maybe it’s gotten better but NijiEN have had some weird problems. Correct me if I’m wrong but I think Mysta have touched on the topic of collabs, Vox’s fans(the unhinged ones) had a meltdown when Reimu joined VC during one of his streams and Uki was bombarded for appearing on what was ”supposed” to be a girls only offcollab between Pomu and…Finana(don’t remember).
"Scared" is a way I never really saw it as before. Granted, I am not a boy, but whenever these stupid things come up, it almost come off as them not liking the guys, which is ridiculous, because they've never interacted.
I also admit that while I watch a good number of the boys, I haven't watched all of them, but imagine the utter rage if one of the boys said something like this. It would be such a double standard.
The fact that she felt this was something that needed to be clarified is disgraceful.

I'm just happy to see her in another collab and competition and I hope that in the future she continues doing that. As long as she feels comfortable I don't have a problem with her collabing with other holos, including holostar bros. She already gave me amazing content so she has my full support!
Pretty weird that people are even superchatting about this to her considering IRyS has the same stance on stars as Kiara, Gura and most of the other Hololive members
Which is already a problem in itself when they have to actively aviod interacting with the Stars guys to the point of either not collabing/interacting at all or having to completely separate from each other during These very rare actual collabs just because of very vocal and clearly sexist and possessive "fans" must ruin everything.

The fact that this has to be addressed is so frustrating. Why should it bother anyone if the girls and the guys interact? They're people, it's normal for people to interact with each other. If anything it's bizarre that this divide is enforced by some of the fanbase to begin with.
I really can't understand all that hate and controversy, when some of the most hilarious moments for me came from the interaction between live x stars (Kronii breaking Grandpa, monopoly rage wars, kobo and tempus bantering to cite a few). We need an ice themed holomem to make people chill-the-fuck-out

But obviously this isn’t enough. Toxic and overprotective fan behaviour has caused significant pain to talents such as Mysta in Niji as well.
I hope Holo talents try to minimise the real gachikois in their fan base.

Still can't believe Altare is "silently" blacklisted from ever collabing or interacting with Kronii despite how good their dynamic was together.

Also, funny that Overwatch is collabing with Hololive when Holocure has more active players lol.
They must have offered a very good deal to make it happen. Plus I know some of the girls genuinely enjoy Overwatch.
Overwatch still has many more active players than Holocure. If you're referring to that pic that showed more people playing Holocure on Steam, that's just because the majority of PC players play through Blizzard's game client, not to mention the console players. I do think it's a real shame in the direction that Blizzard has taken Overwatch in. It has such good potential, but I think they are wasting it.

Sad to see, but that's the reality of "idol" vtubing especially for hololive. Gotta keep their moneymakers happy or else they'll get canceled and lose out on a consistent income source.
