Dsa is no more mandatory, but specialization in atleast 1 trending technology has become mandatory
Trending tech :- AI/ML, Web Dev, Blockchain,Cybersecurity, Cloud , Devops, Data Science etc

I have fluency in web dev and MERN and I am also working on blockchain....... But I have no knwoledge in dsa because I am not at all interested in that bullshit thing..... Can I get job... I am in 2 nd year
What I have seen is nowadays DSA is needed even in small service based companies like 3-6 lpa jobs also need DSA
Even if you have good experience in development You can't rely on just on a technology or development
Bro yesterday was my drive campus giving 5 lpa and they asked question from leetcode which was asked by google and that was very difficult. Now think how small compny too increase their level in dsa

I have all these things but still I did not get any job. Today the only way to get a job is only Top colleges of India where you get oncampus opportunities.

In short, only DSA se nhi hoga koi specific tech bhi aana chahiye like:- in Fronent(ReactJS, NextJS,Angular JS,...) In Backend(Python-Django, Java-SpringBoot,...) , .etc

It is very true & I am also agreed to your conclusion. I also get offer in LinkedIn from MNC but only category that disappointed me - "experience level". Because the recruiter also need min 3+ years Candidate in respected technology

Sir, go for the data analyst if love to analyse things,
Go for data science, if love stats and maths
Go for ML engineer, if love stats and computer programming, etc....
Go for cybersecurity, Go for devOps, Go for blockchain development,
There are various trending technologies, but always research thoroughly before entering the field

Guys, all the youtubers are there to earn money from selling dreams, courses. Now the industry has become exactly what the engineering exam coaching institutions did and still do.
Forget about industry, market. It's all about DEMAND vs SUPPLY.
There are more software engineers than the job roles available. This place is saturated now.
I'm not here to sell anything, neither do I have any to sell...just one advice for you or your younger siblings, explore other engineering domains, core engineering pays really well with great life-style or just explore other CS domains other than web, mobile dev...look into ML/AI areas maybe (better pay-scale, lesser competition). It's sad but true :)

I agree with you partially, we can clearly see that those who have little in depth knowledge about particular tech are getting selected but i don't agree with the no of openings available. Its is still difficult to get opportunity because of competition
what I feel is no of opening are good but the talent is very less. the top 1% company hires from 1% college and very specialists rest companies want talent but everyone with 6months course and bla bla certificates creating the competition.

But that certificates and courses are made-up by the engineers of companies also and some top and good colleges students ,
So that,s why they get the basic knowledge of this and some who became specialised in tech field , gets the jobs in the companies also .
So , competition is increase in this field very much , due to its versatile nature and knowledge etc.
Campares to core branches where salary is less , growth is less but yes , security is there 😁😁👍

Tech jobs are highly competitive thing . Without proper referrals and source no one ever get a chance to get shortlist or attain interview. This is the harsh reality. Even a small startup will not shortlist even you are an experienced candidate.

As well as news from some quarters, that 2024 is going to be a washout year for IT with most of the companies focusing on 2025.

hello i am 31 year old. Upsc background I could not make through it and want to get back into masters preferably tech field. I am bsc maths major , 2016 pass out.I want to go for either MCA or Msc statistics from iit JAM, I researched a bit about starting career late in tech and people suggested it is of no use pursuing 3 years degree at 31 since companies would not even consider me for placement. I am in a lot of delimma. I want to pursue career furthur but i am clueless in which direction should i go. If it's possible for you please help me a little bit in getting clarity what should i opt for.
Pursuing 3 years degree after 31 ,If I am you definitely I won't do that .Will try to learn some technology in 6 months span of time gaining some good knowledge & stats attending interviews (my perspective)

I asked for same advice from someone doing masters in foreign at 30 but after work ex. He told me it is all good to do masters at any age. He has batchmates as old as 35. May be in India we don't see that usually. So it is not recommended
