Darkstalkers was definitely the game series I was looking for, but Red Earth and the other games look really awesome as well!!

I've kept my eye on this since the first trailer dropped, and I'm so hype. Today I took the plunge, and got to say as a new player of Darkstalkes I can understand why so many people love these games. It's sick.
I just wish they have put marvel vs copcom and MVC2 AS WELL . this definitely would have being awesome!
I hate to break it to you, but don't hold your breath. Anything Capcom originally released involving Marvel characters is in litigation limbo.
Capcom and Disney, Marvel, Sony, and at one point....FOX, have to tangle through tons of licensing agreements and disputes.
I've been waiting to legally be able to get MVC2 for the better part of a decade. The last time this title was available in the market was Qtr. 1, 2013, when it was delusted on XBL and PSN.

Paid off my copy yesterday. So excited. I haven't played DS since PS1. I've played every game besides Puzzle Fighter, Super Turbo and Red Earth and can't wait.
I understand the importance of Darkstalkers and Red Earth but i bought the collection because of Gem Fighters..

Not a fighting game guy for much more than the DBZ and Naruto games, but Gem Fighters also tempting me to buy the collection just for it. Gotta get the new Fire Emblem first though. I’ll see if I can last until Xenoblade Chronicles 3, or if I’ll fall into the urge of buying the collection before that.

Not really. It’s basic imo… A couple Dalkatalkers games another sf2 . Really Puzzle fighter is probably the only game really worth it on there. Possibly Red earth. Possibly. Sf30th that came out earlier last year is wayyyyy better
You can get the Darkstalkers games cheaper in Capcom Arcade Stadium 2 next month.

For some reason the UK didn't get a physical release of this as you can only find the U.S. version online that's a bit more expensive, but for anyone here interested Bazaar-Bazaar has the U.S version for £44.99 and Base also does for £49.99 bit of a shame as the games included in the collection are difficult to find and play but hopefully that helps people.
Good thing I live in the US feel sorry for everyone in the UK who has to pay an extra 5 or 6 dollars

@@latinochico I just bought the digital version, it’s a pretty small size and only the second game I’ve ever bought a digital version of. Couldn’t wait to play Darkstalkers so I gave in 😂.
Also known as 90% of the reason I bought a Saturn no regrets (this doesn’t have the marvel games obviously) but I was thrilled when this was announced and it was a pre-order for me. I LOVE capcom’s art from this era. Nice to know it’s actually a good game.and of course it’s the arcade versions not the home releases I really liked Vampire Savior little red riding hood w guns that slits throats … and looking forward to red earth.
Home versions are always better tome especially in the difficulty area
😆 As a fellow Saturn owner and importer of all the Capcom fighters of that era, I had to comment. I still say the Saturn version of Vampire Savior is the definitive edition TO THIS DAY! With the 4 meg backup the Saturn ran X-men/MSH vs Street Fighter BETTER than the arcade (the load time is faster swear to God). The D&D games, KOF collection, Street Fighter collection, 2d Capcom of that era was amazing and the Saturn is prob the best 2D system ever, up to that point.
So far it seems like there’s a bug on the switch version that doesn’t let you view the online rankings for hyper street fighter 2. Every time I try it keeps closing the game automatically. I’m sure they’ll fix it with a patch

As a fighting game scrub who doesn't own any previous version of any of these games, I do plan to grab this... Later. Just grabbed Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes, and preordered NIS Classics Vol 3, but once those are out of the way I should be able to give this the full attention it deserves.

This is my game of the year. With the joystick it is just amazing.
I had my eye on this, but I think I’ll wait for Arcade Stadium 2. Maybe I’ll get it on sale sometime down the line.

Does Arcade Stadium even have online play? Can’t imagine any purpose of buying any fighting game in the modern age without it.

@@ethanjory3130 I’m not sure if it does or not, but I rarely play online all that often anyway so either way is fine by me. I haven’t been a serious fighting game player since 2002 or some time around then. I just play casually with a friend every once in a while or go at it solo.

I’ll say this, if you’re a hardcore Darkstalkers fan, then the bundle with all 5 Darkstalkers titles is worth the money, but if you’re a fan, and leaning more to more Capcom classics, then I suggest waiting for the release of Capcom Arcade Stadium 2 since those same games are all on there with additional games minus 2 of 5 Darkstalkers title.

Theres no arena based fighter that plays how powerstone does and that says a lot. Rivals a classic love that one as well.

I'm already getting less and less online ranked matches, almost nothing in casual matches...better try ranking up fast before the headstone arrives. Most ranked matches are in SF, Pocket fighter and Darkstalkers 3....SF being the most
Too bad that the Capcom Arcade download code given in box doesn't work. Was a nice bonus while it lasted.

Crap that bonus content is missing from some of the games. Not too bothered about anything Street Fighter as I’ve played that to death and have all Street Fighter games on other collections. But bonus content should always be included.

Aside from the online and RED Earth; it's hard to justify purchasing this collection of 10 games (2 of which are variations of Vampire Savrior) for $40; when 6 of the 10 games are going to be available next month in Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium for the same price of $40 and comes with a total of 32 games. That collection will also include both Megaman Arcade games, Slam Masters, Magic Sword and some other games yet to be released this gen (along with repeat releases of the SF Alpha games, Knights of the Round and King of Dragons, but with better screen filters). I really don't get why they couldn't just combine all these games in the Arcade 2nd Stadium and just add the online and few pieces of artwork missing (2nd Stadium has some artwork this time around). Capcom is setting records this gen for how many times they can sell us the same exact games and think they can get away with it; instead of just getting it right in one shot. At least we have options to own these games and they are not rentals; so I give them that.

@@DieHardjagged they've done the same thing before with mega man legends 3, they said that participating on the website fir the game was optional but when people didn't go on anymore they cancelled legends 3. This obviously here to gage whether a new darkstalkers is wanted

Ouch. Straight up arcade ports?? As much as I love Vampire/Darkstalkers (despite how good Vampire Savior/Darkstalkers 3 was, my favorite is Vampire Hunter/Night Warriors), I don't think I can get down with this...I got burned by Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection and its being nothing but arcade versions (stock ZERO3/Alpha 3 sucks compared to ZERO3 Upper, for instance). Not to mention that I've gotten too used to the console versions.
Hyper Street Fighter II: The Anniversary Edition was absosmurfinlutely *AWESOME* in its day as part of Street Fighter Anniversary Collection on PS2 & Xbox, but that's nearly impossible to justify nowadays with both the aforementioned 30th Anniversary Collection having stock Super Street Fighter II X: Grandmaster Challenge (aka SSF2 Turbo) AND the existence of the both the souped-up HD Edition on PS4 & Xbox One (maybe PS3, too) & Ultra SF2 on Switch. 😞😞😞

I enjoy playing fighting games offline and it's always been best in my opinion. Good thing too because just like the Street fighter anniversary collection....it's TRASH AF online.

Online was like fighting an opponent underwater. Slow, lagging and glitches.
An opponent threw me out of a tiger uppercut while getting hit in mid dp...the hit actually connected, he was in the air !

Capcom did a much better release with Darkstalkers then Iron Galaxy did with Resurrection. No Trophy Apps, no glamourous fancy filters, No Bullshit just the games from the original CPS 2 release. I guess if you want it done right, do it yourself.

@@redcrimson1028 Marvel games are license games which Capcom does not have access to for present releases. It's part of the reasons why Marvel vs Capcom Infiniti tanked.

this game is better off for labbing stuff up. it feels like people use tools assisted shit online because not only is it laggy AF inputs also just outright stolen or switched to something completely different.
Honestly I'm getting the capcom arcade 2nd stadium after seeing the lineup. Unless you're a serious online player then I don't see why you would get this over the arcade stadium collection out in July.
Yeah, especially since Arcade Stadium has better quality of life features and are way cheaper to just buy individually, even if you waited for a sale on the fighting collection.
The selling point of this is to play these games online that’s what most people buy it for. As a matter of fact I didn’t buy the first arcade stadium and I’m not buying the second one because neither has online. I bought the street fighter 30th anniversary and I bought the beat em up bundle because those had online play

You're kidding right? No, fighting games for the most part don't have co-op. It's player vs. player, not player & player vs cpu (minus a few games). I mean PvP is kinda the point of Fighting games.

This will be a hard pass for me on the Switch. It’s hard to pick this console over the other ones if you have more than one. No cross platform, so it really makes you wonder about matchmaking and how many ppl in the FGC are playing on Switch.

@@DieHardjagged If enough people do there will. That is why they make these kinds of collections. They are cheap to make and great for gauging interest in IPs they are not sure about making a risk. Obviously they aren't going to stick a massive budget into it and make it like SF6 will end up being if they don't even know how in demand Darkstalkers is. It is all about money.

@@reddsniper3853 Yelling doesn't equal money. Darkstalkers was never huge and the one time they did a big rerelease of it it sold terribly. At the end of the day they will only make something that maximises profit. Why make 1 million if you can make 10?

You can get that without buying this collection, you can buy the street fighter anniversary collection or arcade stadium. This is more for darkstalkers, puzzle fighter, and red earth, with street fighter tact on for extra flavor.
But darkstalkers is the main selling point of this collection.
Capcom's ported that game so many times you may already own it and not realize it.
I say no. Fighting gaes on switch are either dead (except for smash bros) or are a bitch to control thanks to the joycons being crap and the pro controler having a shitty d pad.
