Oh how interesting they added a worsted option to yarnable! I think for a single skein option sock is the most versatile and what I would choose. I have thought about joining but working on the stash I already have (unlike you I have been collecting random mostly single skeins for 15 years and now trying to find something to do with them!)

Hello! I don't watch many knitting videos, but yours are a favorite, thank you! I would like any Yarnables yarn weight, but my first choice would be sock yarn.
I always feel safe stashing sock yarn so I'd choose that. If I'm visiting somewhere that has a yarn store I always buy sock yarn (unless I've planned ahead to get something specific).

I am so excited at a chance to win a yarnable box. I have a large stash from 30 + years ago that is mostly worsted and I am finding it heavier with very warm finished products. I am currently working on a fingering weight sweater, the Gaudi, that is beautiful but slow going now the yoke is finished. That's a loooot of WIPs ! I have 5 or 6 at the moment and I feel overwhelmed... If I was winning I would love a sock weight, I haven't had the chance yet to work with variegated yarn. Also, the one you died with a lot a of speckles is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS !
The yarnable boxes look amazing. I would go with the sock weight yarn. I just bought some Jennifer Beale patterns! She had a birthday sale and they all look SO cool. I’m a little worried that they might be beyond my current skill level 😄
Hope you like Tunisian crochet. I took it up in the last year and started with the Ipsa Blanket CAL. I'm committed to one hexi a month and there are 30 in total so I'll be at it for a while. I'm about a third in now. It's so relaxing that I'm in it more to reveal the pattern in each hexi instead of getting the blanket done as a whole. However I would love a skein of sock yarn to start a small project that could be done in the foreseeable future. Love your podcast!

Oh my goodness I would love to try yarnable! I am definately most interested in sock yarn. You can always make hats shawls cowls and such when you don't feel like socks. And I have been loving holding things double to change the overall effect. Can't do that with super bulky. For me the finer weights are more wearable in most applications.
Love hearing your insights on sweater/design fit techniques. I totally agree with you about the increases on circular yoke sweaters. The increases need to be pretty intense in the top of the yoke and gentler in the bottom half. And that bright pink cardigan looks so good on you. I need to find some bright pink yarn now 😆. The Yarnable box looks like fun - sock yarn would be a great way to try one special skein every month

Congrats on your spinning! I am a spinner for 5 years and love it. My husband is a potter and I go with him to the weekly market where he vends. My wheel goes with me as it's a travel Ashford Joy in a case. I get to tell people about all the wonderful natural properties of wool. I also include some info on how Polyester and spandex have none of those things. If fact both are serious polluters. I can vote with my dollars and I won't buy anything that has polyester in it any longer.

I have read that if the cable on your needles are nylon, if you warm them with hot water they will relax. I have used my hair dryer on high and it worked for me.

I would love the sock weight yarnable box! Also, I love your sweater, and you have more knitting projects going than I could contemplate in a year! I also spin, but I have tapered off from the initial “new thing” excitement. I got hung up on spinning “the right way” (not predrafting the heck out of the fiber) and it really sucked the fun right out of it for me. I think I’ll go back to doing it how it worked for me and forget about how I’m “supposed” to do it.
That's a valid concern - I think we have a similar way of viewing things. I want to learn how to do it 'correctly' but want to avoid sucking the fun out at the same time. That's something I'll have to watch out for. Thanks for the reminder. ❤️
