I'm glad I'm not the only one that also likes to keep the original things together. I bought two Elizabeth Ward trays, and I don't like mixing the containers, so I labeled them with washi tape.
@@DiamondPaintingAnonymous oh nooo, that’s the worst feeling, not know which belongs to which. I decided to label mine so I don’t get them mixed up. I use one tray for rounds and the other for squares.
For mermaid and magic I'm doing by the light of the moon that canvas i will be working on and it's in squares and I love square drills they are my favorite. You have a wonderful week and weekend 😊 take care and stay safe ❤
I most definitely DP much faster now that I kit directly to my trays. I also find I spend less time on aligning In my trays too. Been a real game changer. Love trays & tower setups. I also don’t have small kids either. My Bella trays are my favorites 😉 I do hope you try it 😉 you’ll be hooked
@@DiamondPaintingAnonymous that’s why you get the covered trays! I wouldn’t have even tried if they didn’t have the lids with them. 😉 I tried the little boats at first & learned quickly I needed the lids!
Sorry for the comment on an old video. Just a tip I saw in a comment somewhere that worked for me, but breathing some hot air into the bag after opening it gets rid of enough static to pour them out into the case at least. I do put some dryer sheet in the cases, though.
She is so cute. Hope you enjoy doing her. I use the slightly damp cute tip alcohol method for static.DAC drills aren’t quite as bad as they were because they started piercing the bags again. Peace and love abide with you 💕
Also just joined mermaids & magic myself. Since my glass mermaid won’t be here In time. I’ve decided to do my peace Cheshire Cat. What’s more magical then a talking cat 😂
I have the EW knockoffs from AliExpress. I bought one of each configuration- so 3 sets total. I mix and match depending on what size container is most appropriate. I’m not a purist.
Hi Daphne, I am working on Olive A Taormina by Dreamer Designs. I’m near the beginning and it seems to be going well. I like to arrange the drills into numbers, then alphabet, then group the rest together (like arrows, keyboard symbols, mathematical symbols etc) because - particularly near the beginning - it can be hard to locate them otherwise.
I have a large tray tower which holds 48 lg trays, also 2 small tray towers that hold 32 sm trays. Luv’em won’t go back to a single tray unless I’m out of my craft room. 🙋🏻♀️
Your comment about kitting up into trays got me thinking. I know there are people who do it, especially since Amazon sells several sets of trays with holders. But most of those only hold 20-24 trays so if you work on kits with a lot of colors, you’d need several of those sets which could be pretty expensive up front. But on the other hand, it seems it would be a lot faster not having to pour drills into trays and back again. I might consider it.
I know that Bella Art de Nicole sells tray towers for their trays, and saving time would be great. Just not sure it's for me until I try it!! Thanks for watching!!
I’m working on a mermaid I bought on Black Friday-The Little Empowered Mermaid. I bought it for the event because I didn’t have any mermaid paintings, but to be honest, when I opened it I didn’t like it as much as I thought I would. I’m glad to have an excuse to do it or I might never have worked on it. I have a question about using the Static Guard- do you spray the Q-Tip and then stir the drills in the bag with the Q-Tip? I need something to work because the static is driving me crazy and the dryer sheets don’t work fast enough!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on burn out! I've been thinking about this as I'm getting into diamond painting and if I'd like to pursue content creation at the same time -- I'm so excited about it but don't want burn out from painting or the social media of it if I start.
That would drive me crazy to have containers stacked. I’d borrow from another kit to use the smallest boxes the drills would fit into. I also organize by numbers, letters, keyboard symbols, then what’s left in groups like arrows or pointy shapes, etc. I’m glad you chose this mermaid. She’s so cute and I voted for her! I’m not participating in any events. I know myself too well that it would stress me. I’m not a fan of deadlines, etc.
It's not my favorite to stack, but I gotta stop being a purist and worrying about keeping my trays/containers together!! 😂 She is adorable and I can't wait to see how she turns out!!
So the DMC code for diamond art club is different because the DMC is actually a company. So like if you look at knitting stuff and thread with DMC and look at the DMC numbers they will probably match diamond art club because DMC is actually a company. In Artdot they may not use DMC specific codes so they made their own colors but tried to get as close as they possibly could to the real DMC companies codes. If that made since. I just learned that the other day.
I know they are using the DMC codes from cross stitching in diamond painting, I just don't know why they wouldn't follow that same pattern with AB drills. Because they don't, there are conversion charts floating around, because most diamond painters store their ABs by DMC code, not by specific company code. I guess they just want to keep us on our toes!! Thanks for watching!!
DAC has a list somewhere on their website that lists the conversions from their AB codes to DMC codes. If you can't find it, you can find my copy of it in my shared diamond painting files here: tinyurl.com/2c4xmk7v

I don’t like mixing them either, but I ordered extras of all the different sizes of containers, and now I have no idea which ones go where!! 😂

It is definitely on my to-do list. I’m just clumsy and worry that I’ll spend more time cleaning up spills than diamond painting! 😂

Yes - spray the qtip, then swipe through the bag. If the static is bad, you may have to spray twice, but it works!

Nothing says on DAC website when the painting was released so I only know when I bought the dp since I don’t keep up on new releases.
I think the challenge said it was to be a 2023 release - I'm guessing as an incentive to get people to buy this year. 😄 Thanks for watching!!
How do you find the actual DMC #s for the DAC ABs?
