Does somebody know what what blue smoke that comes from belly of the aircraft below the engines are? I was thinking some sort of venting system from the engine bearing/lubrication section?
@@TheDimistron I agree , in Pembrokeshire a lot of trees being cut down and not replaced , makes me sad / angry ! I only think title of vid "departure " is ironic in that you cannot actually SEE departure (takeoff .) Best wishes from Wales .
Is that thing on the bottom a bomb or a fuel tank, and if its fuel, do they land with those external fuel tanks on, or do they have to drop them and replace them after every flight? Seems like it'd be tricky to land with that.
They are 1500 Ltr (drop tanks) external fuel tanks, they would normally be kept on the aircraft, but can be jettisoned if required. Note the tanks have two fins, you sometime see them with larger four fin tanks, They hold 2250 Ltrs.
I worked with some Filipinos on Saudi Arabian air bases. Tornados and F-15's were landing and taking off. Compared to the Tornados, the F-15's looked more graceful and were much quieter. One Filipino called the F-15's the "Grand Old Men," and the Tornadoes were the "Angry Chickens." 😉

It's a fuel tank, the two on the wings are fuel tanks aswell, and no they don't drop them as they are expensive to replace.
fuel tanks. but when empty, similar looking tank pods can be used to store luggage if deadheading.
