Last week I saw pedestrian detection and auto-breaking for a first time in operation, brother's E-class stopped immediately as system reacted briskly, some dude unpredictably left the sidewalk right a front of the hood (situation at extremely low speed).
Greetings from oakville I understand that the battery pack to the elantra hybrid is located underneath the backseat I actually saw it being taken apart on Asian petrol head on TH-cam thanks for the presentation
When she said "dual clutch 6 speed transmission", and then she said "it puts the FOCUS on fuel efficiency" I fell right from the top of my chair, because it gave me horrible 2014 ford focus flashbacks.
above the FCA sensor, you can even see the fixing points if you watch closely, some more fortunate states don't need it at all, which is great from design perspective
That's interesting to know that the Canadian version of this car gets the incandescent bulb projector lights, and the US version gets the full LED lights. I notice that it has only heating on the front seats instead of heated/ventilated like in the US. I also noticed that it does not appear to get a power seat for the driver.
Well we wouldn’t want Canadians to have a better car than the Americans now would we. Funny how cars in Europe made by the same North American car companies are more comfortable and better made than what we pay through the nose for here in Canada. Must have something to do with our Winters….eh! Or could it have something to do with “free trade”. Or maybe because Canadians just expect less and don’t complain. Why are we still paying an AC tax when we buy a car. Now they charge you a rim and tire insurance for a car that was sitting on the lot. I have a better idea….I’ll supply my own tires and rims and the dealer can keep those crappy tires that don’t last anyway and are not covered by the car warranty either!
Ya it’s the Canadian Special Edition ….eh! You’re lucky to get tires! Did you know the warranty is better south of the border too! They claim it’s because our roads are worse and of course we use too much salt in our food, or is that on the roads…..I never get that right! All I know is that I’m tired of getting screwed by the auto makers!
We've been telling buyers for all Elantra that we are filling most orders within 90 to 120 days. Having said that, we sold two last week that arrived today! Kinda crazy.
Did you get a hybrid? Non Hybrid is estimated at between 7.1 to 7.6 Highway and 5.5 to 5.7 city .. Hybrid model estimated at 4.5 Highway and 4.8 City. That being said there might be a break in period but cars these days are not known to need break in time. Ordered my hybrid should be getting it somewhere in July or August 2023. Its going to be a long winter.
@@marksamuel5347 i was reading the meter wrong, i had a honda insight hybrid that was giving me about 455 miles per full tank on midgrade fuel on high end fuel it was giving me 480 per full tank and the tank was 9 gallon tank, the elantra does about 360 on premium fuel non hybrid on premium gas and 47 mpg for highway and about 37 in city thats without stop n go traffic its horrible on just stop and go. but i still like the car hybrids were out of reach esp with the intrest rate hikes put alot of people out of the car market this was a purchase i needed due to hurricane ian taking both my cars due to flooding . wouuld have loved a hybrid

Does it have auto start. Can I heat up my car before entering it in the winters?
During catastrophic frontal accidents the engine slides down under the car. Helps prevent passenger injury.

Awesome video! Very informative, will be considering an elentra for my next vehicle 👍
I have a USB c to c cable for my S22 ultra, how do I connect it to elantra for Android auto? I can see it has usb A port🙄
Where do you mount the front licence plate?

Is it Canadian model? Does it have heated seats in back?
All car dealerships should do this or something like it
Can we get a drive test review?
How is the stock for this vehicle? Pretty sparse, I imagine?
