Grand Canyon Elwha River | Kayak

The GC Elwha, one of the great rivers of the Olympic Peninsula, WA. With the road wash out, the hike in is now around 14 miles (instead of 8 from Whiskey Bend) with some significant elevation, making for some long tiring days.
The Elwha holds historical significance to the country as the river with the largest dam removal project to date. The Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe was one of the primary driving forces behind the removal to restore fish habitat.
