Very many thanks indeed Greg, brrr 🥶 what some weather it’s been/it is! No snow for us, but plenty of rain and wind. It looks as though we’ve not got the best of weeks to come and I wonder what’s ahead after the US are through with their’s! It’s quite hot in Australia, and will be the opposite in ol Blighty again tomorrow, gales too! Thanks again Greg, to the Met Office too. Take very great care however you travel everyone as it’s going to be a very windy one tomorrow, especially in Scotland! 🥶 🥶
Thankyou for a professional, clear, concise weather forecast. I noted that you didn't tell us that old misquoted chestnut, as repeated by John Craven on Countryfile and Danny Savage on East Midlands Today, by stating there will be "Freezing Temperatures", which is wrong because temperature is a numerical measurement of available heat. You can have freezing conditions, due to Low temperatures, but unless you have re-written the laws of thermodynamics, you cannot have Freezing Temperatures, but you can have temperatures at which water freezes, which is what they mean, but mistakenly do not say.
Why did we never have yellow weather warnings back in the 80s and 90 when it snowed... We were just told to grab our sledges and to go out and have fun because snow was coming. And the same in summer... no heat weather warnings in the 80s and 90s.. We were just told to go out and have fun coz the sun will be shining..
If you remember 80’s weather forecasts then I doubt you’d even be up to “grabbing your sledge” these days 😂 As for summer sun warnings: Have you never heard of melanoma or maybe even global warming? The sun is stronger & the days are hotter than in the 80’s/90’s old timer.
The air masses seem to come west to east across the Atlantic in a sine wave. It'll be 13⁰c in a few days time ... Our seasons aren't delineated anymore. 😢
I remember the winters in 1980’s were fantastic for cold and snow lovers especially for London and the SE England. Around 40 years ago I remember really deep powdery snow cover here in Hertfordshire and going tobogganing down the hillside nearby frequently now you be lucky to even have snow falling in the winter let alone a covering!!!
In my opinion, the weather over Saturday and Sunday were very over exaggerated, in my area in Leicester,we were stuck under amber warnings, warning as much as 15cm ,what we got 2cm They were warning upto 40cm over the peak district, you have just reported measurements of 20 cm Alot of people cancelled stuff on Saturday night hear in Leicester due to wild reports of snow ,from 6pm it didn't start sleating where I live till 12 midnight I judge how cold it's going to be ,on seeing council gritter lorry's ,I didn't see none
Totally agree , Said the same thing on this mornings forecast , over exaggerated, not helped by the media . It winter , we don’t live in a tropical country . I can remember the winters back in the 80s particularly 82 , that was proper snow , no over exaggerated forecast then you just woke up and it was there , you just got on with your day . Won’t be long before we’re all told to walk around wearing hard hats and safety goggles in bad weather .
Yep couldn’t agree more parts of Cumbria were forecast to get 40 cm more like 10 max . Lots of rain falling now across the county still some snow but mainly above 150 metres

Useless met office as usual. Forecasted snow for my area and they keep moving the time when it is going to snow and low and behold no snow. Over paid idiots. All funding should be withdrawn.

@@StuN_UK Come on mate lighten up a bit or are you another Anorak. You’re getting triggered over nothing, just give your head a wobble.😂🏴👍🏻
I guess you were a child. Now adults go out and keep things moving.
@ “another anorak” 😂 yet another wrinkly coming out with their old time sayings. How many decades have you been using that line for?
@ Hello my little Woke Anorak. Was it something I said? By the way for your information only, ssshhhh, I’m 29yrs of age! 🤣😂🤣😂🏴👍🏻😜
We had ~2cm of wet snow for an hour or so in West Suffolk around 3-4am, but all gone by daylight.
Its winter, what else do we expect?
Well said my friend!! Don’t they over egg the pudding!! I remember when winter was winter. Winters now are like spring days!!😂😂
Summer!
@Joe-p2b spring is next, summer has to take its turn
Is there a competition to see who can get this comment on every weather video like you're the first one to ever say it?
back as a teenager in barnsley in the early 1970s we had to get out and push the school bus. health and safety would have a fit
Appreciated, thank you 👍
It was forecast snow all day today here in the north where I am and now it’s currently raining ;(
Didn't you know? Met Office treats us like snowflakes!
If you find yourself triggered by weather forecasts, watch something else.
@ not triggered but ok 👍 warrior
It is still snowing in Yorkshire this evening.
What a confused map of Great Britain!
? All looks to be in the right place, Scotland still at the Northern end.
The air masses seem to come west to east across the Atlantic in a sine wave. It'll be 13⁰c in a few days time ...
Our seasons aren't delineated anymore. 😢
I'n in Newcastle it's been raining all day no snow... we had about 1/2 an inch last night but that's all washed away...current temp 4C 21:58hrs...
My town on that map is under the sea 😮🌊

"driest weather across Wales" now there's a rare expression....
2010 the snow in the South East was mental. The Beast from the East in 2017 (?)
In the 70s I remember epic snowy winters.
This is pathetic.

Can you show the country ?
Beautiful weather for the start of 2025!!! 😂
There's a rather large depression over the UK...
...And the weather's not looking great either 😨🤣
I’m in a bunker, is it safe to come out yet. 🤔
Typical met office , said we would have up to 30cm of snow yesterday we have 1/2 inch ??? how do you keep you jobs is beyond me.
