- Have seen a few waterfalls since i have been in the Philippines now
and i would say that this one is my favourite so far, it's in quite a remote area, the terrain is testing, and the waterfalls itself are just beautiful and breathtaking.. This is the first time we have been anywhere like this without taking Tilly with us, but this place really is a bit too much for a 3 year old, especially when we had quite a long way to travel here to reach this place, even Yvonne had trouble with the 450 large steps we had to descend and climb, but it was well worth it as we had a fantastic time.. Got lots of footage of this place so i hope to make another video from our day out in time...
Carl, This is absolutely beautiful. The entrance of walking to the waterfall is gorgeous with all of the trees and nature surrounding you. This was a very enjoyable video for me to watch. Big thumbs up for your beautiful scenic day. Loved it. ♥ Hugs, Ashley ♥
Thanks for your great comment Ashley, i am pleased with this video but i don't think it really does Tinago Falls justice though, as this place is really amazing and one needs to actually be here to fully appreciate it, and the flora like you mention is very nice here too.. i hope to upload part 2 from our day out at Tinago later next week.. That is some really beautiful scenery.. and the camera shoot such a crystal clear picture. And the sound of the waterfall is very relaxing!

I hope time will come that Mindanao will be fully open to tourist and kidnapping and war conflicts will totally gone coz Mindanao is full of beauty.
It would be really nice as Mindanao is a beautiful Island, but sadly i can't see there being much peace in the near future, but you never know things could change for the better, so lets just keep our fingers crossed, thanks for your comment...

I think Mindanao is the second largest of the Islands in the Philippines, and yeah many nice fruits come from here, and the amount of Bananas that come from here is mind blowing, there seems to be Banana plants popping up everywhere, and even just outside my front door there are a number of Banana plants growing on wasteland, plus a few Mango trees...
***** banana can easily grow everywhere and yeah I've seen that there's a banana plantation in Mindanao and not just banana but also pineapple.My city was belong to Panay island so just limited fruit can able to grow unlike Mindanao that they have plenty of them.Have u ever visit Asik Asik falls when you was still there?that falls was also beautiful.
I have not heard of "Asik Asik falls" but i intend to google it and find out about it.. I'm still in the Philippines now, i spend 9 months of the year here and then 3 months back in England.. Thanks for telling me about these falls, i will check them out...

Well without boasting Lorraine i actually found these steps a piece of cake as they say, but i exercise a lot and have always done lots of hiking, but the only difference here is the heat, and it does drain ya quite a bit.. Always nice to see a WOW! in the comments, and it really is breathtaking to see this waterfalls for real. i was talking to my friend yesterday who is one the bosses as the local immigration office, and he was telling me of a few other places like this to visit, and i hope in time to do so, thanks Lorraine, have a good weekend with your family...
Carl, Did you find Tarzan there? I thought I heard him calling out at the 1:05 mark. Looked like a very popular place. Lots of people there and crowed it looked like. I thought you looked overdressed for the occasion. Going to a waterfalls you should have had some shorts to enjoy a cool swim to cool you off.
Ha ha, yeah i heard Tarzan calling out too but never actually got to see him Steve, yeah i wish i had taken my shorts as we were both a bit hot and i really wanted to have a swim, i was gonna go in just wearing my boxer shorts but did not want to get everyone excited mate lol, but one should always keep themselves well covered up when out hiking especially when hiking out in the Philippines, apart from getting the protection from the sun you also have to be very careful of getting a nasty gash on your body like i did once when i went swimming in Dalipuga, and am sure i don't need to tell anyone how bad that could be if it got infected.. ***** Mentioning swimming in your boxers, I am not so sure that would have been much of a shock (other than a white guy doing it). I have seen it before when out. We were at a beach one time and a couple of guys came up and just stripped to their undies and went for a swim. No one seemed to care at all.
I can see your point in wanting to keep covered while hiking. It could make for a real "adventure" getting an infection and having to go to the ER later to get it treated.
Oh you do have to be so careful Steve, it's hard to get a balance sometimes mate from having fun to taking care, i actually know of two people over here who have died following getting an infection from a cut. What might just be like a minor infection back home can quickly turn into something very nasty back here, anyway thanks for coming back again, you have a nice evening there with your family, it looks like we are in for some serious rain here, and i think i will watch a film...

Yeah but that's 450 steps down to these waterfalls Nathan, and then the 450 steps back up lol, Poor old Yvonne was having trouble coming down, and i won't mention when she was on her way back up ha ha, but they are real big steps and it was very hot.. Hey i don't have a selfie stick yet, but one sure would come in handy as we could then do a few vids of me and Yvonne together, cheers mate, have a good day there...

What an outstanding video, Carl.. The waterfall and emerald color of the water was breathtaking! You know this is the second time I've watched this video. Wow that waterfall is amazing! I'm not sure if I've ever seen a waterfall that big in person. Quite a few nice steps to get there too lol. Looked like everyone was having an awesome time there. Great video!

You are so right Glory, i could spend all day and every day in places like this.. We went on a Saturday which we now know was a big mistake, as you can see there were so many people here which was a bit of a disappointment for me as i tend to like secluded places with not so many people around, but hey i still had a real good time and would highly recommend anyone in this area to pay this waterfalls a visit, thanks my friend, hope you are all keeping well there...

I have been there. I was actually born in Iligan. I lived in Ozamis until i was 9 then moved to Sydney. I went back in 2010 i was a young man 26 i think and IIligan is becoming like every city in Philippines traffic everywhere. I love Pagadian city.
I have been to Ozamiz City, and have a few videos on here from Ozamiz.. Yeah the traffic here is terrible, and the pollution is so bad at times it makes ones eyes water, but then most cities are like that, it gets like that in London sometimes, but Manila is dreadful for pollution, but they only have 1.8 million people there, and i believe London has a population of nearly 10 million, larger than New York.. Hello my friends, the video really does not capture the real beauty of this place, it's got a lovely feeling to it, the only thing that spoiled it for me was just how many people were here, the last time we went there, there was hardly anyone there, but that was on a week day we went last time, and this time it was on a Saturday, so the weekend is not a good time to go.. Yeah that's 450 steps down and 450 steps up, way too much for a 3 year old and that's why Tilly did not come, i really missed her not being with us, she's such a big part of us, thanks for stopping by, it's much appreciated...

This is the 3rd time I've been to this Falls Carl and it still makes me amazed everytime.. I've told you this is my last time as am worn out going down and up of those stairs but then when I see this again. I think I will go there one more time and will go for a swim next time. what do you think? You are so good on travelling Carl but then you are always a traveller.. Oh i had a great time Yvonne, so pleased you liked the video, and i knew you would be pleased i left the footage out of you being carried up the steps by the medical team there and them giving you oxygen lol, "Only Joking" but next time we go we will come in from the other way as i much preferred that route we took when i first came to the Philippines.. Yeah i wish i had my shorts with me as that water looked so good and i just wanted to get in the water myself. The Philippines, is a very tropical place, I enjoyed the footage, of the waterfall, and how they pulled the, robe on the side, to move.. very lovely.. my friend.. Hello Nancy, yeah it's very tropical here in every sense of the word, the climate is so different from the one we have back in England, one of the first things i noticed when i came to the Philippines apart from the heat, was how different all the foliage was on the plants and trees here. Some of the house plants people back in England have growing in their homes were just growing on the side of the road here.. As to knowing the language here Nancy, well no i can't speak it that well at all, i know a little Visayan and Tagalog, but not that much, but enough to allow me to get about the Philippines on my own, but some of the language you could hear being spoken in this video was not Visayan or Tagalog as most of the people here on this day were Muslims, like the group of men that had the selfie stick, they were all Muslims, thanks Nancy, have a fun day there my friend...

I believe there are meant to be 24 of them, and i have also heard there is some sort of waterfalls and caves at Dalipuga, i have been to Dalipuga a few times now but have never come across them, next time i go there i will ask someone where they are, thanks for your comment...

Thanks Eden, it was a really nice day out, but i did miss not having Tilly with us, but it would have been too much for her with all them steps, and too much for us if we had to carry her lol, yeah waterfalls are very relaxing, a bit noisy for some people but it's a nice noise for me, thanks again my friend, i hope to upload part 2 real soon...

Thanks for your great comment Rona, yeah everyone was having a good time, some people brought tables with them, and were sitting there preparing their food, they were making a real day of it, and i think i've got some footage of that which i will use in the part 2 video, plus there were some people just as we went into this place that were doing their washing there, and i filmed that too lol, have a good day there....

Nearing a falls is always exciting Carl for some reason. I think it has to be the spectacle. You know we're not sure what we're going to get and you sure did get a good one here. Hi Mark, i have been here before but last time we came in from a different direction, and personally i think it was a better one, because before we hiked through like a little village where there were some derelict buildings, lots of small communities and it was just a much better hike before we got here if you know what i mean, but where we came in from this time is what you would call a car friendly route, there was a car-park at the entrance, a toilet, and various other things there, a little bit tourist built i would say, and that was ok but i like really getting out in wilds where i can use my compass lol, Yeah a great place for a swim and the raft was a good one, i think you would like it at this waterfalls, cheers Mark, hope you are keeping well mate...

You know what Rich, i have never eaten beef Jerky before, well not that i can remember anyway lol, yeah this one is a real beautiful waterfalls, and i would say my favourite of the ones i have visited so far, and yes a good place for a swim, but i have heard a few people over the years have drowned here, and in the part 2 of this video when i get around to making it, i got a few clips of young lads jumping off the top of these waterfalls, and i don't know whether they are brave or just plain crazy, but it looks so dangerous, cheers mate,have a good one...

Well they got Jungles around here Andre, i have not been in one yet but would love to do a hike through one, i would have to do my homework first on the terrain and the sort of dangerous things i could come up against, like snakes and bandits lol, thanks my friend, have a fun new week there...
