To be honest, despite being the celebrity and the fame, the one always under the spotlight, David Beckham, when he put on United shirts, committed better and played better on the field than the likes of Rashford today.

Difference when you listen to these ex pros, even on Simon Jordans show, Incey and Les Ferdinand etc. They had a better work ethic and were more humble. This is an era thing. It takes a strong manager to deal with todays players. You don't have to rant and rave you have yo be a people person. A good manager can say the same message as a poor manager, but its how he says it to how its recieved. More so than ever thats critical.
Players need to motivate themselves,their grown men and need another man to motivate them to want to achieve something in there career pathetic
Ideally, the name on the back and badge on the front should be enough "motivation" for an employee. Shame is under-appreciated these days! 😊

people were talking at how utd will never go 30 years without winning the league like liverpool but here we are utd are nearly halfway into that amount of time and are finishing 8th this season and the team still need a complete overhaul, another 4 or 5 years transition and another new manager will go by quick too

The bottom line with man u is that the Glazers have taken billions out of the club whilst other bosses have put billions in to their respective football clubs over the years and it all adds up eventually in every department.
We can complain about them taking out money but they have also spent more money than most other teams. The problem is the organization of the team such as buying players based off name and not to fit in a set system. We spend big money on players that end up being terrible for us. We could’ve bought Haaland before Salzburg yet didn’t do it. We only needed to spend 10 million on Caicedo didn’t do it. United is a structure less club and that’s the real problem.
Becks reminds not only the players but also the fans what it's to play for Manchester United. The Manager has less work, it's the player who must be proud & motivated & point to prove & give 💯 each game.
Instead of Manager blame the players as well cuz it's them who performs

That 99 team was something special, predominantly a british irish first 11 the majority of which came through the academy and understood what it meant to play for Utd, Fergie set a standard and created a culture, the club felt like a family, its so sad to see these over priced self entitled imposters today playing for this once great club.

DB is from an era when a Club’s badge on your shirt is all the motivation players needed. Even the fans felt that way when we bought our Club’s football shirt. We suddenly transform into our favourite player or the biggest fan.

It makes sense why you’re seeing more and more footballers playing well into their late 30’s and early 40’s at a high level. There’s not enough committed young players and the old boys’ work ethic means they’re reliable & good enough to keep lazy youngsters out of teams.
