    Thanks for this review. I’ve been using this device for 6 months. I notice a big difference on my crepey eyes and double chin jowl area. My skin also seems more refined (smaller pores). I only use it every 2-3 weeks. 🥰

    This is the best device that I used so far. It diminished my sun spots immediately and tightened my skin immediately from the first use and lasted for a few days. I can feel the relaxing heat when using it and it has heat levels you can increase up to level 5. It feels hot enough for me at level 3 already. The best part is that you only need to use it twice a week to begin with, then once in every two weeks !

      @@kam0406 The Silk'N rf devices are FDA approved. RF devices that have been approved by the FDA are *not* supposed to reach the fat layer for safety and shouldn't cause fat loss (overuse might still cause this though). Approved "at home" devices are more superficial than the ones that aestheticians and plastic surgeons use. And they are safer than the devices sold on Amazon and AliExpress (even though those are quite effective). Other FDA approved devices are Newa and Tripollar, there's another one called the Nebulyft which is still pending approval (I think?) and the microcurrent hight frequency device Dermawand Pro is supposed to have a low amount of RF as well.

    I just started using it last night. Takes about 1 hour in total which is a long time if you include your neck, however, if it works it's worth it. It feels stronger and more effective than the Tripollar Stop V RF device I was using (which I returned as it did nothing for me at all at all). I am very hopeful this might work. Will keep you updated on my results or lack of them lol!

    I have been using it for about an year, but I definitely do not see almost any improvement. As you've mentioned in the video, it get hot and than cold and I thought that it doesn't work properly. I can see immediately effect of tightening, but after 2-3 days the face is the same as before. So, I'm quite disappointing. Really good review - just my take on your skin temp starying around 36 degrees. I understand the device is heating the bottom layers and fatty layer under the skin to 43 degrees, while maintaining normal temp on top layer to avoid damage on the surface. You can see your neck really getting red from heat, so it must be at that deeper layer.

    • @10YearsYounger
      @10YearsYounger  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yea I think the thermometer only reads the surface temp. thanks for watching

    • @roslechte
      @roslechte ปีที่แล้ว

      Apparently the fat cells within the skin heat to a higher temp so need to be careful not to go to high as you will damage the fat cells which can lose fat in the face. Apparently from what l have read. So hard to know re RF as there have been so many reports on fat loss in the face. It does make sense that it would as it is what is used to melt fat on the body. I would imagine that this would be at a lower temperature (you would hope)

  • @dodgygeezerdandy
    @dodgygeezerdandy 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Would it be the dermis is hotter / 43 degrees, and the surface is cooler? It seems too lengthy, I’ll stick to my tri pollar which I love.

    Thank you for the videos on RF, led and micro currents. I am 35 and started with solawave wand, and I do feel my skin is healthier. I am keen on using an RF device. Is there a stark difference between Tripollar and SILK’n that you could share beyond the time for the treatment and probably the cost and LED? Something about the difference in its results.
    I live in the UK, so want to know what are the best options available for my age.

    • @10YearsYounger
      @10YearsYounger  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The silk'n is a bit of a gimmick as a red light treatment should be 10 to 20 minutes at a time but its only going over a few cm so each section gets maybe 5m. I prefer devices with one funcion so you know what you're getting. I prefer the Tripollar myself. I got better results from it too.

    Thank you, I made this purchase with your link. I am in the US and purchased a UK model, at a greater discount than US models. I have to purchase an adaptor, no problem. The product arrived in record time. My only advice to all users is be careful you remove all oil products from your face. Use an oil free cleanser first. Electricity conducts with water, not oil. Any oil residue may result in redness.

      @@10YearsYounger I did my first treatment clocking in at 1 hour .25 minutes with a timer and watching a youtube channel. Lots of product to keep the glide going and I kept the device moving. I am older. The skin along sides of my nose is always dry. After this treatment those areas are nourished. The skin looks healthy. Most importantly the procedure is user friendly for the most part: the device is light and easy to use and work with. I am glad I found your channel and watched your video and made this purchase. Again your link leads to a UK plug - so you will a UK to US adaptor. The price is reduced and arrives in a day. We will see after 10 weeks if there is a chance to build collagen and decrease some wrinkles. That will be amazing if so.

    An hour and a half is way too long for me.
    Is there a device that you find is reliable that can get results in less time?
    Also, if you could only pick two devices to use for the rest of your life with the technology we currently have access to, which ones would you pick? I would keep my red-light therapy mask but I would throw out my nuface. The mask is very effective and my skin looks better now than it did years go. As for the nuface, I don't see any real results. If I'm going to devote time to something, I want to make sure it makes a difference. Even a little. Nuface was a waste of money for me, personally. But some people really like it. I'm leaning towards radio frequency but I'm not sure which device is truly worth my money and which is the most effective.
    I am guessing that the temp on the skin is reflecting the temp on only the skin surface and not reflective of the heat that was transfered to the layer below that. Heat dissipates quickly, so unless you measure immediately and almost the same time as the device is applied, it will not be accurate. This is only my guess. Maybe someone who knows about thermodynamics will weigh in.
    I love your channel. You look like your in your 20s, so I definitely trust your expert advice.

    I recently learned that some skin tightening laser treatments such as vermage, while tightening skin, it also dissolved fat in the face which led to even more sagginess in the long term. Do you know if this does that? Thanks.

      this is an FDA approved device, which means it doesnt go as deep as the fat layer so I would say no. The stronger in salon machines can melt fat though yea

    Wouldn’t the heat be deep down in the smas layer40deg + rather than the top layer?

      I guess it would yes, these devices shouldn't be heating the surface

      No! Don't even think about anti aging as you have so much collagen in your skin. Just use SPF50 every day and enjoy your life!

      Bit early. I would wait till mid 30's but depends if you have sagging skin and signs of aging.

    I have this device. It's absolutely unsustainable to use it twice a week for so much time: 15 minutes for zone, so your face takes 1hour! 😮 And I see no results. A waste of time and money

    I have been using this for over a year. I always test on only one side of my face. This does nothing at all. A complete waste of time. I feel really angry that people are being conned by this. Please don't waste your time and money.
