@@mauroktd Well, I mean, that's only true in the technical sense. The word which "pepperoni" is derived from is both Italian in origin and near-identical - it simply refers to a different foodstuff. So to claim it "isn't Italian", as if to imply that the word has its etymological roots in something completely different like Russian or something, is wooden reasoning in my opinion.

Pepperoni is not an Italian word, Pepperoni is a spicy salami produced in America and Canada, it has nothing to do with Italy.
In Italian with the word "Peperoni" (with just one P) is what we call peppers.
