I was told I'm genetically predisposed to gain dementia at some point and it genuinely terrifies me. My mind and my memories are obviously everything to me and I have no idea how I'll handle it if it ever comes. I just found you through your Horizon playthroughs. It's my favorite game ever - I'm so, so happy i found you for this. So many people play the game and don't take any time to appreciate the story and lore and worldbuilding. Your playthrough was a breath of fresh air 😭
The Yuriko questline in this game without fail either gets me teary eyed or straight up crying like a baby, its just so well done and so well presented, not to mention how personal it hits for me Great section of the game, its insane to me that its optional with how amazingly written it is
Yuriko's quest is one of my favorites in the game. It's just masterfully written and so true to life and hits me so damn hard everytime. My mother died of alzheimer's after a long, painful number of years. By the end I wasn't sure if she knew exactly who I was because she was mostly nonverbal, but it felt like she was somewhat comforted by my father and I so that had to be enough. Jin was perfect in this scenario. The way he handled this really endeared him to me all the more.

Ever thought of playing Vampire Masquerade Bloodlines? you play as a vampire in Santa Monica and you have to balance feeding on blood with keeping hold of your humanity. There's tons of interesting quests that I think you'd get a lot of analysis out of
For 10 minutes in, as an example of kids not understanding death: I was 5 years old when a friend of mine was murdered by her father, and I definitely did not understand death nor did anyone in my life explain it to me. After her viewing, when I snuck into the room (my mom left me with a friend at the funeral spot and told me not to go in, but still took me with her?) and for the next weeks I would wake up and wonder if people were watching me sleep, too. I remember being so confused when I asked an adult at the viewing “When is she going to wake up and play with us?” and he just started hard weeping. I remember being worried I said something bad, and running out of the room.
Yayyy I’m so glad you’ve been doing this series is they’re any chance you’ll ever play the final fantasy 7 remakes and prequel? They have a lot of psychological themes that would be perfect for your content style

When I first played this the part where Yuriko died made me a little sad. But also glad that Jin was able to comfort her in her last moments.
