Serch should write a book all about Def Jam back in the day, growing up in Queens, & the early hip-hop scene before everything became so corporate, & bullshitty.
WE NEED AN ANIMATED SERIES of MC SERCH TELLING STORIES WITH CARTOON ILLUSTRATION!!!!!!! ANYONE AGREE? look at Ricky Gervais show on HBO-- similar to that!
Serch can tell a serious story, he needs to have his own podcast or he needs to do a documentary film just about his stories. I loved those two 3rd Bass joints!
The yarn has been spun on this one; I've seen some crazy shit and lived through some weird anecdotes, but I can't tell them with this kind of timing and finesse. I've always admired a good storyteller.
He was in the Rap game in the 80's and 90's....as a rapper, producer, and label executive....he probably has stories for days...especially being that he was on Def Jam with Public Enemy , LL Cool J, and Slick Rick...also he helped put on Nas and KMD which featured Zev Love X who would later become MF Doom!
that's probably one of the best stories told I done heard in awhile , instant classic, if it was done on drink champs it would of got more views but I believe NORE WOULD OF kept on interuppting no disrespect
Some asshole used to call me MCSearch in high-school.. He really got a kick outta that one, & truth be told, he was still to this very day, 1of the most talented artists, as well as conflicted internally-persons, I've ever met. That asshole's name was Aaron Alexander, & he fell to the ground out of the blue, & never got up again from a brain aneurysm. He could be an asshole, but he was my friend eventually, & I let his daughter know her eyes are so much like his, that it feels as though I'm in front of him, while talking to her... RIP DETES USC
he was just there. not even performing. I guess he was just in town or was there to pick something up. who knows. people tried to come up to him and talk or take pics but the guards weren't allowing anyone near him.
I met him in the Red Room in Chicago...nigga was about to beat somebody ass before I started talking to him about how much doper Geto Boyz were than NWA lol. No lie
3rd Bass and their 1st record " The Cactus Album" is not mentioned enough and has kinda been lost in the shuffle so to speak in the history of hip hop. The record was released during the "Golden Age" of hip-hop around the same time when so many legendary artist made their mark and some of the all time greatest records were dropped in this period. To whom who happens to read this post, please take some time For yourself, put a decent pair of headphones on and do yourself a favor and listen to the Cactus Album!!!! One of the most underrated records ever in hip hop history!!!!! With top notch lyrical display( which by the way- is Damn near lost these days!!!) outstanding samples from many genres of music, dope beats and above average DJ'ing makes this record timeless and deserves to be mentioned as being influential to so many young hip hop fans on every level and for being one of the best hip hop records that came out during that important/crucial time in hip hop history!!!!Pete Nice, MC Serch and DJ Rich and to the rest of the incredible, creative artist who had a hand in making one of my favorite records of all time from my youth- THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS RECORD.Over the years I've bought the Cactus Album twice on cassette and twice on CD. NEEDLESS TO SAY- I LOVE THIS FUKIN RECORD!!!!!
Serch just told this story on vlad tv but there's a lot of inconsistencies. First He said he was in Baton Rouge, not Lafayette. Then he said he paid the limo driver $450 even tho in this interview he said Bushwick paid the driver $200 for his hat. So i wouldn't believe everything you heard Serch say
He also said the mom had an AK In Vlads interview then changed it to a Mac 11 here. He said he paid the driver in vlads interview but here he’s saying he had no money on him and bill paid
Curt Smith - Funny how you're asking me for song names, when that racist ugly ho just admitted she wants all white folks to die... your priorities are a bit jacked, sir.
In the vlad interview he said the mom had a AK now he’s saying she had a Mac 11. In the vlad interview he said he looked at bill and said I got this and he paid the limo driver and in this interview he’s saying he had no money on him and bill paid the driver. Jus a couple differences I seen tho
Allen Wilkerson... Nah homie back than in New Orleans we had many sidewalks and streets that were made with brick. Y'all in the east or mid-west would all it cobblestone!!
For a midget, I thought Bushwick was strong as hell. I'd never picture him cowering to anyone! Guess his brother's karate was no joke... Awesome story though , thanks for sharing!
One time, I was in a club in Houston back in 95. I was at the bar trying to get a drink when I heard the Dj announce that there was a celeb in the house. I had my back to the stage so when they put the spotlight on me I turned around like they think I'm somebody. Turns out I was standing next to Serch the whole time. Epic fail for my ego. Also befor we left, we saw Bushwick sitting at a booth chillin but I didnt want no part of that. Midgets freak me out!
SERCH SHOULD TELL THESE STORIES!!! WITHOUT THE DRY- SNITCHIN' SHE HAD SOME BIRDS NOT KILOS OF COKE!! KEEP IT QUIET NINJA!!! ( THEY AINT MIDGETS THEY'RE HIS KIDS!!)
Yup!!!!!! For 1 he said mom in law had an ak 47 now it’s a Mac 10 .... and that he paid the limo driver 450$ for the hat 🎩 and here he says bushwick gave 200$ smh
He told this story completely different on VladTV. He said he payed for the drivers hat and not Bushwick 🤔. I wished Bushwick was alive to give us the real story #RIPBushwickBill
I gotta say I’m gonna call cap on this one. First off of allllllll the groups and there were many who dissed MC Hammer why is he going to go after 3rd bass? Next up why on gods green earth would Hammer himself implicate himself in hiring a hit man by calling the plane personally then Leaving his name? Trust me when I say most gangstas out in the west didn’t listen to Anything 3rd bass and they weren’t taken seriously at all in the streets and trust I love 3rd Bass but Serch making it out like they were in the East vs West thing before it even started.
I noticed that too. One major stand out for me is when serch said he didn't have money for the hat and Bill paid 200.00. on Vlad, serch said he personally paid the guy 450.00 out of his own pocket. Plus the gun the mother in law pulled out was different too
Serch is a great story teller. loved his story about the Hammer hit.
al zolez He really is

One of the greatest storytellers of all time.

saw Bushwick Bill @ a rave in Atlanta around '97 or '98 @ a venue called The Church.
he had three 7 foot bodyguards.
it was surreal.
97-98??? He wasn't even poppin anymore then. Why the guards ? Lol
rappers from the late 90s still doing shows right now.
he was just there. not even performing.
I guess he was just in town or was there to pick something up. who knows.
people tried to come up to him and talk or take pics but the guards weren't allowing anyone near him.

Search is hilarious man, good to see though grew up on 3rd Bass mad love great interview
Serch has the best stories and tells them well
Big Pun BEWARE ringtone in the background.

I would DEFINITELY watch serch host his own podcast….. shit would be epic
That was a great fuckin' story.
Another bizzare ass Bushwick Bill story.

Lafayette is 2hrs from New Orleans and Bushwicks baby mother is from the ninth ward
Bushwick actually lived in Lafayette for about 6 months...
Lafayette is actually 3 hours west of N.O. , but this is a great story

They were outside the car
The ending is different on vlad tv, there it's 400 dollars and search pays it himself. But great story though!
I came to watch to see if anything is different from the vlad interview lol
maybe cause I'm from the south but what cop is gon let u spit all over his cop car??? exactly no cop foh
