I had the misfortune of living next door to one of their " trap houses".... it was the most scary 13 months of my life. We were constantly intimidated... our privacy was invaded in so many ways... our address was even used to get off penalty fares on train, trams and buses and was threatened with prosecution after a kid associated with the church jumped a fare. I was really hassled by TFL over it because they didnt believehe wasnt my son. Our house was broken into. But the ultimate was one night where someone from the house was attacked by a crowd on my drive. It was horrific. This cult was far from peaceful. Knives were thrown into my garden and my family were too scared to leave the house. I recognise quite a few faces on this documentary... some of them were very respectful but some were downright terrifying. Everyday was like living next to a time bomb.

That is why they're gang members, there must be a fight somehow, but pastor Toby is just trying to change them, do you think it's an easy thing to do?
Them being killed in the streets versus being saved like pastor Toby is trying to do, which one do you prefer? Be honest!❤

@@larrywondah I think you are incredibly nieve is you think he's saving them. I having lived next door to them for a year all I saw was more and more antisocial behaviour, financial coercion and seriously shady stuff. The gang members are used as poster boys to draw in regular young people. It's interesting you choose to ignore the detrimental impact they had on my family. None of that behaviour was discouraged. You somewhere want me to celebrate a man who almost drove me out of my home?

@@larrywondahI can tell you a few things that are glaringly obvious about what is problematic about this so called church. When the members worship the pastor instead of God that’s idolatry. When the church’s charity status is removed due to fraud allegations something is seriously wrong. When young black people are targeted and recruited to join a church something is very wrong. When the pastor focuses on money and possessions that’s what the Bible calls the lust of the flesh the lust of the eye and the pride of life. This group does not portray any biblical principles, after all of the evidence on who this group is and what they were and are still doing if people continue to defend their practices I leave them to God but I will never call them a church.

There are more operations like this than one would expect....or be comfortable with.
If you will indulge me, I have a warning for those who have people they love who have substance addiction issues and are members of Christian congregations:
My late partner had serious alcohol problems that she developed to cope with BPD and Schizo-Affective Disorder (I need not mitigate her circumstances, but in explanation, the first thirty-odd years of her life were punctuated with such misery and horror that you would not believe it if I laid it out for you).
She and her mother were members of a church, however before meeting me my late partner's faith in the actual church (rather than her Christianity, I am not Christian, I am a physicist) had waned and she no longer attended and dealt with her faith through private contemplation and prayer. However, unfortunately, she lost her sobriety, which she had worked hard to attain and maintain, due to unfortunate circumstances with her grown-up son that triggered her psychiatric problems and thus she could not keep her recovery.
I did all I could (no doubt making errors and blunders), my late partner did the best she could, but services in the UK are near non-existent (for context, the place where she used to go for help with her addictions has recently been bulldozed and replaced with flats) and it was a losing battle. However she did get back in touch with her church and I felt that was a good sign, perhaps the groups and community of the church would be useful for her, give her a wider circle and some support. Even better, they offered her a place on a recovery programme, they were going to pay for it, get her to this place. I was overjoyed, so was she, this was great news. She would recover, I would get things on track whilst she was doing so, I would even do some volunteering to help the church in an effort to show gratitude, it would be a new start for us both...and then, with a qualified nurse I looked at the website for this "Recovery Programme". Firstly NO CONTACT, this can be a thing in recovery, but not so much these days, also this meant zero contact with family, friends, partners, DOCTORS. No medications. None. Zero. NOT AT ALL, not even for mental health problems NOR physical problems. NO MEDS FOR SAFE WITHDRAWAL. My partner could polish off a box of wine (the equivalent to six bottles of wine) in less than two hours, she had been advised NOT to suddenly stop drinking as the shock to her system could potentially kill her. There would be no counsellors and the whole idea was that you would pray away your addiction and then get this, you would go out collecting EVERY DAY for the church. and. that. was. it. That was how a church (a white people church too, before the racist Christians jump in) was going to help a vulnerable woman with severe psychiatric problems deal with the alcoholism that was bloating and killing her before my eyes: She was going to scavenge donations for them!
Naturally, when I told her, it put the kibosh on the whole thing, thankfully, it's just a pity that it made her distrust her own church who were probably duped into offering a gateway into a cult and slavery..and so instead of getting better it was just another arrow into her heart, her own church was trying to put her in a cult was her quite correct conclusion and so, therefore, could never be trusted again. She died about a year and a half later, from covid, in the first wave, but tbh, between her own son punching her and pushing her to the floor on a crowded train station and her friends at her church trying to send her into a terrible situation that could have led to her death, she gave up and I doubt she would have made it past 2020 even if there hadn't been a pandemic.
If you have read all of that, I thank you. Please hold those you love close, shun those who promise easy wealth and/or salvation and stay safe...xx

They've been investigating him for the past 5-7 years and they found nothing on him. The BBC SPAC documentary where this documentary picked all its information from was 5 years ago. Pastor Tobi is still walking free, conducting services, and still doing some activist work.
Documentary is like a movie, not a court of law. For example, if I want Redeemed Church in Nigeria to look bad, all I need to do is to find a few Pastors who left the Church not on a very good note. Interview them and they will say a lot of bad things about their Church and General Overseer.

I’ve personally been invited there to network after attending a job interview many years ago and telling the interviewer I was interested in music after he asked which I thought was funny because why you inviting me to church on a job interview and the service took place in a hotel, i only went for music networking purposes I had no idea about this stuff until the allegations came out on social media but soon as I heard the church drill in that same service I walked out after a hour or less I’m not Christian anyway but it just didn’t sit right with me. People that go there are absolutely brain washed to think they’re going to make money in that so called church lol when you sit back and think about it their practices go against everything that is religious so why would they help a whole congregation to make money. This is a mad story and every member of that cult is brainwashed and you can tell they will all sell they’re soul for some change.

He seemed like a cool guy and we didn't even talk about church, and before I got on the bus he asked me what I'm doing on Sunday and said to come to his church and he gave me a flyer. He said I should come because there's lots of young black people there and I would enjoy it. I never went but when everyone started talking about it on Twitter I remembered him and was glad I didn't go lol.

My conclusion from this video, is that the charismatic pastor has been able to outwit the whole British government because, the last time I checked, he hasn't been arrested yet. All these claims are enough to send any black man to prison for a long. Or maybe the government is just enjoying him driving around in yellow Lamborghini because he's saving gang members allegedly, or maybe you can do the lazy ministry of justice's job for them by showing up with receipts. Until then, you can actually shop at imitation shops and still look good like him. No point in envying him.

I believe tobi is too lazy to set up a business and setting up a church is good cover for him to rip people off. In the minority community religious heads I.e. pastors are treated like celebrities so are less likely to believe they are being scammed. I remember well over 20 years ago my mum was attending a church and a pastor would ask for donations from church members. My mum had a simple car not too fancy but for some reason the pastor assumed my mum was wealthy because of it. He asked her to buy him a Mercedes and she told him to pray for her to win the lottery then she would think about it. He was shocked with her comment but she told me that he was damn cheeky to ask when church members are struggling

PT is no perfect man, especially looking at recent news, but there are so many standards by which society uses to judge individuals, and PT just happened to be another one in the camera lens. What’s most important is to identify your life’s goal, and do your best to fulfil it.

Not only I've been treated like shit the entire time by him and his all entire staff/support, but all they've been talking was money, money, money. Heard the word "God" only mentioned in the end when he shouted "God bless the Family"

The dude was taken to America to answer his crimes, in my 41 years of life I have never heard nor seen where American interpol carried someone to America the way they carried him. I am not a member of this church but it seem like this documentary is a confused one. Why do you criticize what you do not understand and call it evil? I watched the part where pastor Tobi was speaking to an alleged ‘gang member’ who was still in the game and he told him his terms of supporting his music which he said he doesn’t want violence. The commentator saw this as bad and undeserving. Firstly Jesus came for the sinners and for a gang member to become an ex you have preaching and convincing to do. Not everyone would want to leave the crime lifestyle but he has planted a seed of the word in that gang member and when Jesus will minister to him, he would find his way home. Most times society just hate progress. They want bad news that can complain about all the time.

You are SPOT-ON.. I have watched this so called documentary 3 times and honest to goodness cannot understand what wrong it is claiming that this pastor is doing. it appears to me like a sponsored hit job. I seriously wonder if pastor Adegboyega is cutting into the revenue pf the private jails and got someone angry.
The whole so called documentary makes absolutely NO SENSE.
These are young Criminals that were hurting, maiming and wreaking mayhem on the streets being taken away from life of crime and someone is finding something wrong with that ???
Is society better off with these young criminals remaining criminals , growing into more violent criminals and going in and out of the prison systems ?
I tried my best to await the bombshell criminal conduct and it simply was not there.
All I heard was someone twisting whatever good this church and pastor were trying to do and demonising them .
I hope this pastor watches his back because I have no doubt that they will eventually set him up , frame him and get him. I know that my opinion is in the minority here but they are my thoughts nonetheless.

Without getting too deep on YT comments, I'm really not sure anything would? As in, I can't think of like a miracle or something that would convince me. For me, it's a case of not finding out until I get there. Wherever there is. And if Jesus greets me at the gate then I guess I'll have some explaining to do.
More over, I'm not even certain that if I were to be religious that it would be Christianity. I often feel much more drawn to things like Buddhist beliefs and philosophies.
Idk man. I'm happy you've got faith in your life tho bro!

@@RIDEMusicYT appreciate your reply, I really do.
I hear what you're saying.. I can share so much with you but I'll say this - I tried the different religions and they were great at first but one thing I never knew is would I be greeted in heaven.. because most of those religions I had to work for salvation...do good works. My question was, how much did I need to do..? And another question was, isn't it like a bribe?
Nearly 3 years ago in March 2020 I was called, I lived a life that never deserved this gift of eternal life.. today I know where I'm going when I die, and I love you that much I want to see you there. I'm going to pray for you because Jesus died for you too... did you or I or anyone else deserve it...? No - He died for the Muslim, the Buddhist, Hindu, Mormon and so on.. He died a death we all deserved because of our sin. I'm not perfect and never will be but when I mess up I have an advocate in Jesus Christ of what He did for me on that cross in Calvary, because I believed in what He did that day 2,000 years ago..does it mean I can continue in my sin? Certainly not.. I have more of an understanding of sin.
If someone loves you that much, died so you could have life and left you a gift (free), would you not want to find out why He did it and what the gift was?
I'll leave that with you and to anybody else who hasn't put their trust in Jesus, today you have read the Gospel and all you need to do is repent, believe in The Lord Jesus Christ with your heart and confess with your mouth that He is Lord and you will be saved.
      God bless you.
If you're interested in philosophy... Read the book of Ecclesiastes and Job which are both in the Bible, they will hit home.
