I always attempt to be aware of a deck's time frame, i.e., before the Internet, when information was very difficult to find.
Fun Stuff Happy to have you visit over coffee.
Thank you! ☕️

I love your content. Im a fellow Gemini and throw my best intentions and plans out immediately after making them sometimes 🫠 and I want what I want when my mind changes which it does - a lot. I knew of Barbara Walker via knitting my other passion but my hands are getting old and hurty, I had no idea she was an occultist until a few years ago. Her deck is smarter than me 🫣 She is still alive and is 94 yo. She has several books including Feminist Fairy Tales and The Crone. If Im not mistaken either she or her daughter were really good friends with Elizabeth Zimmerman another feminist and knitting icon.
Keep leaning into what works for you even if it isnt structured or edited. IMO everyone’s videos are so much more authentic sips of coffee/tea and all.
Thank you so much! Oh cool! The knitting connection was so neat to discover.
I totally agree on the aesthetic of the Hermetic Yarot and BW I Ching. I know nothing about I Ching but was digging the artwork as you were showing it. Kind of different as I don’t vibe with her tarot. Great video!
Hi Gina! 🥰 I’m so glad you liked it.
LOVIN’ me this mood (my lil big emo black heart 🖤)! 🤗 Love ya & love this vibe (as always 🙃) and appreciate ya sharing!! 🖤🖤🖤
I’m so glad to hear it. Thank you so much.
Definitely looking up those two books! I Who Have Never Known Men has excellent reviews on Goodreads. I think with Barbara Walker, I've heard the most criticism about her occult books: The Woman's Encyclopedia of Myths and Secrets and The Woman's Dictionary of Symbols and Sacred Objects. And I've mostly heard that they're not properly researched and that she's a generalist writing about a topic that she doesn't have any real expertise in so she gets a bunch of details wrong. But I've also heard of people who love those books, so who knows.
Let me know what you think if you read either of them! Yes, that’s what I picked up on as I read a little of the criticism of Barbara Walker. Interesting!
Barbara was a huge feminist from what I remember, and her take on myth, tarot and history seemed to be presented from her perspective. She was just a long way ahead for her time. I have one of her dictionaries of symbols as well as her tarot book. I agree, the old deck is not needed, the tin is perfect 🌞🌻🌻
She’s got an interesting take in everything. I can appreciate it.
So I didn't realize that knitting barbara walker and witchy/tarot barbara walker are the same person. Also I think a lot of faith and witchy paths are created. Sometimes based on some history or experience but not always what people view as "authentic." I think that you have to do your research and do what resonants. My personal open is that a lot of paths are created. That does not make them bad.
I think it’s all fascinating! Truly. Thanks for being here.
Way to meet the mood! 👽
