You should give naofumi a try. Maybe using gil to give both esca and naofumi extra defence rel stats for escas relic and naofumis basic stat increase per his defence
Escanor relic is based off what he enters the game with, not what he gets from support units
@@Glorpus i know naofumis basic stat increase wouldnt apply to his relic, but ive yet to test gils increase. unless start of battle just means that it disregards any increases to that stat regardless of when its applied?
@@Paraphym it’s just based on what stats he has before the match starts for example in this video escanor with defense gear has 12k defense, he gets half that into attack. That’s as far as the relic will ever buff him. Regardless of supports and regardless of rules, that is as far as the relic will ever be pushed.

@@Paraphym yeah his relic is old as hell to be fair. You can run triple defense on him and technically get more out of the relic but it seems like diminishing returns and less cc for similar performance

Hey nag if you want a tanky kinda stat booster use naofumi instead of roxy, and it deters enemies from attacking recklessly helping escanor even more
Ikr I don't get why people don't use Naofumi more, he can straight up do just about everything, and his sole debut thing is a hard counter for Ban
Demon team shits on Naofumi, and let’s not forget Tyr now exist on the unknown team along with Freyr and Freya
@@antlee456 i still use the outdated team of Naofumi, Raphtalia, both with relics, the ultimate Escanor and 60% def boost Gilthunder,can't remember the last time a demon team of any kind "shat" on me tbh, even if Estarossa stacks darkness, once Naofumi revives with the relic he cleanses everything, even if he's the only unit left standing, still does pretty good
They better give deathpierce a good holy relic.

If you think about it. Double defense should be better than attack. Double defense gives you 40% Def, AND 20% attack. Attack only gives you 20% attack.
As to whether Triple Def (60% Def + 30% attack) is better than Double Def + Crit DMG (40% Def + 20% attack + 20% Crit DMG) that’s debatable I suppose
Technically, triple Def should be the best, since as we’ve seen with the triple Crit DMG videos, 20% attack is better than 40% Crit DMG. Which means, that 10% attack should be better than 20% Crit DMG. And since using Def means getting 10% attack + 20% Def, Def should be better than Crit DMG.
The only reason why attack + Crit DMG is a thing is because Crit DMG only needs 2 pieces. If attack was also a two piece set it would in theory be better than Crit DMG too.
And now with Def being technically a two piece attack set, we can run triple Def and get 60% Def + 30% Attack.
Gotta try Naofumi with Escanor+ Ban. Naofumi can't get marked by enemy bans and gives more defense and attack when stanced

Like this team couldn’t compete with demon team, cause gowther gets 1 shot from purgatory meli with attack buff and even if u go first u can’t kill him with Escanor due to all demon stat buffs and their stat lowers. Vs new ban you can’t do shit as well cause they have too much of dmg reduction and there aint No way you are going first

it should be obvious by now that Escanor is the reason why humans be lacking.. they always make him so strong by himself that any unit that gives him buffs makes him too OP. Also every time humans do get a "meta" it's usually something that doesn't involve Escanor (like HP or DEF specific teams). I personally would rather keep the current "meta" than go back to a shitty "Glue Eater" ass team that everyone was using & The One Escanor thrived on lol.
I think they want to mimic him from the show that he doesn't know how or want to work with his team they always release a strong Escanor by his own without an actual team for him this is just stupid only high box CC can use him as a "Meta" with all these trash CC humans
@@W_95 then maybe the solution is to make a merlin that counts for human passives as Escanor will work with a team if Merlin asks him too. It could be like Merlin with the burn after kissing Escanor.
@@ron5348 I like that idea but NM doesn't like that idea but the final solution from NM is Chaos Arthur but i'm pretty sure T Ban will get shut down by Demon King Zeldris before they will release Arthur i can see them make DK Zeldris passive that he reverse every single Related stats debuff to Buffs and that will kill all this broken Debuffs teams and that will open the door to Escanor to deal with him because he doesn't really work around Debuffing enemies i can easly see that the way NM are going to shut down this debuffs meta

Escanor should have had an all stats increase rather than just attack related stats, that way it would also tie into his relic and buff his hp.
And bc of the slow way his eternal flame stacks, they should last forever or at least 5 turns
Unfortunately his relic doesnt increase his attack past when he first enters the battle. It procs before any defense buffs apply, it's only what you get through your gear. Kinda shit imo and I think it should re proc every turn so that you could get all the defense buffs and then keep getting higher attack but oh well.
