Tooms really is the ' monster of the week ' that made the show take off. Squeeze was a brilliant episode that cemented it as must see show. A great plot here with Tooms appearing down through the years satisfy his craving to feed on human liver. Of course Mulder is the one chasing it up and Scully sceptical of course. The eyes of Tooms are so scary, and many people had nightmares after watching this episode. Again a great ending to this too where wee see him in his cell, but know he can contort his body to fit through anything just knowing what could happen. Many episodes of this show are always left like this with the viewer still disturbed. A great episode for so early in S1 of the show.
Doug Hutchison, yup, he's a weirdo in real life but, dang he's a good actor! He was in The Burrowers, a horror movie, and did a great job.
Been looking forward to this! Another great episode. Mulder and Scully's relation feels so real and organic already! I also enjoy that the producer sneaks in episodes not directly connected to the red line but with focus on character development at times.
Looking forward to more x files reactions. This is my fav show of all time!

At 15:38 you can see the scene which is used in the intro! Did you notice? I like it because Tooms is one of my favorite "monsters of the week", I even bought the video tape back then. 😏
I also love how Scully already knows how brilliant Mulder is and rather sticks with him to solve the case properly, even if she doesn't always believe with the things Mulder comes up with. She doesn't dismiss him because of that and it's also great that Mulder values her so much already, despite she's not always (or ever?😂) agreeing with his theories.
Tooms is a really cool character, definitely. And I also appreciate how much Scully respects Mulder despite often not agreeing with him. I think that says a lot of good things about who she is as a person, actually.
@@nebulousreactionsYes indeed. I loved her right away and she was a great role model to me. I rewatched the whole series lately and found a lot of characteristics and mannerisms I seem to have adapted/ learnt from her. ☺️😏
@@147Hikari That's actually very sweet! I did read an article once about how this show appears to have sparked a wave of young women getting involved in science careers, thanks to Scully and Gillian Anderson. Which is awesome 😁
@@nebulousreactionsYes, it's called the "Scully Effect". I for myself am working in a "men's job" and often had to fight against clichés and stereotypes.... just like Scully will have to in some forthcoming episodes. You'll see. Luckily people are slowly shutting up about it. 😊
