    SPACE GHOST!
It's kind of like a weird remake of that classic Twilight Zone episode where only one passenger can see the gremlin on the wing of the plane.
This episode is a little silly, but I like it okay. I think the mission control scenes work really well.

    Another great one.
I think this episode is one of those that isnt recarded that highly in the fandom, but i really like it.

I can definitely understand that, and on my editing I noticed a few more things that didn't quite jive with me. I think the best way to describe my assessment of this episode is that in terms of quality, maybe not the best. But was it entertaining? Absolutely. I mean, I rewatched half the episode and still felt engaged, so that has to mean something!

Mulder is not always right. I know that's a trope that seems to have entered pop culture, but I remember hearing that and thinking "has everyone been watching the same show I was?"
Mulder makes a lot of wild hypotheses, and of course this show takes place in a world that actually has literal aliens and ghosts and monsters. But Scully is OFTEN right -- plus, what she contributes is scientific rigor that provides real leads that advance their investigations. So, even if the answer at the end is "WEREWOLF!!!", the way they GOT to that endpoint is greatly due to Scully's acumen as an investigator and scientist.

I had no idea that was a pop culture trope. I'm too young to have absorbed much about the show except "paranormal stuff, cute actor, good title music." But I'm also not talking strictly about being right about paranormal stuff. Even stuff like correctly assessing the colonel's true motives. That's him being perceptive about people as well, not just paranormal events.

@@nebulousreactions Yeah, we're also still in the early days where Scully tends to have faith in authority and institutions. Not blindly, but she isn't on the conspiracy train yet.
But it's true that Mulder seems simultaneously socially inept in his own life, but very empathetic and intuitive when it comes to investigations.
What can I say -- makes for a great duo. ❤
