Years back I used to have this humongous male snapping turtle. We had this gigantic antique bathtub what I used to keep this thing in. The amazing part is this turtle would not bite. He did probably for about the first 5 minutes whenever he was caught and I mean I caught that turtle from age 14 to age 21. Basically I take him home and I feed him and he would eat and eat. Eventually he would fatten up to about 45 lb. When he had his fill, he simply would just climb out of the tub and head back to the swamp which was about a mile or so from the house. The craziest thing I did is when I was probably 15 to 16. We're going back to 1970 here. I had this huge old knapsack where I cut out the inside. I cut a hole out of the bottom for the turtle's tail and would lower him in. What would happen if he wanted a view he would kind of stand up put the paws on my shoulders in the head would come up behind my head and just look around. Needless to say it was one of the freakiest things that anybody ever saw in the local mall when I walked in there with that. Now at nearly 70 I kind of wonder if that turtle is still alive I would be pretty sure he is.

If she’s so tired, Why didn’t you bring her back to the swamp?
The Turtle will find its way back, like most other wild creatures do, but I assume you already know that.
