Great to see an English perspective! Being from England too I can really appreciate your perspective on what is easily available and what’s not. 2 very different great bourbons here, it’s nice to have the choice to suit my mood weather it’s more mellow or if I’m feeling a bit more adventurous. Keep up the good work!
Ah thank you! Much appreciated. Yeah I certainly see a place for both of these in the collection, always fascinates me how much change and difference you see in two drams when comparing side-by-side! Cheers!
Nice review, and good to hear it from an English perspective. I’m just in the early stages of my bourbon journey, had the WT101 and I got a bottle of the EC for Xmas, unopened as yet. Looking forward to comparing them. Eagle Rare next on the hit list. Liked and subscribed.
Ah thank you! Much appreciated! Be interested to hear your thoughts on all of those three in comparison, for me the Eagle Rare just takes it I think, but, I haven't done it side-by-side with the EC yet so I can't be entirely sure.
I like both! I’m a single malt scotch lover but Wild Turkey is a solid choice for a decent dram! Elijah Craig is also nice. I’d add $20 bucks on or so and grab the Rare Breed by Wild Turkey! It’s an amazing whisky for the price. I love rye and spice so I usually choose Wild Turkey!
I’m with you on the rye and spice, I do often gravitate that way, always feels like it rounds out for a fuller experience somehow. And I’m also a single malt fan! Any bottles you’ve had this past year you’d highly recommend? Scotch, bourbon or otherwise? Cheers! 🥃
Great reviews on bourbon. Would love to see sazerac rye v (buffalo rye or mitcher rye) never had them it the same time to try and differentiate (any other would be good too). I really enjoy the sazerac
I have a bottle of the Sazerac (though it was brutally half-emptied other Christmas for rye Old Fashioned's) I'll see if I can find another rye at a decent price to go side-by-side! Cheers!
Wild Turkey 101 is great for the price. Elijah Craig IS good, but based on price, I’d take the 101. Not to mention the proof! Lol Edit: I’d love to try the Wild Turkey Rare Breed
You have to try Rare Breed. It is so bomb. For it being 58%, it is smooth asf & kinda sweet. Over where I live, after taxes it’s about $60 but so worth it

With the alcohol tax in Canada, and not much selection, these are my main 2 bourbons for value. WT101 the cheaper.

As of right now over here in Los Angeles … at Total Wine, WT101 = $19.99 & Elijah Craig = $21.99
Oh interesting! The prices in the UK are wildly different depending on the quantity imported and who the retailers are!
Thanks for the video. I think i liked Elijah Craig more, but it cost 18€ more than wild turkey 101 which is great whiskey too
Thank you for the comment! Elijah Craig has much more of a quality aged spirit feel so I completely get why people like it. Cheers!
@@TheCrumbyBeard yep for sure

@ I picked up a bottle actually 😁 good stuff! Love Wild Turkey whiskey!
Sorry..you think wild turkey 101 is a mid tier bourbon??? Hahaha
Punches way above its price point
