Maybe you can check out some drivers from F1 history like Niki Lauda and James Hunt. There is a movie about them (Rush) because they were very interesting characters.
Daniel's nickname is very appropriate too: "The Honey Badger" Daniel said in 2014 : “When you look at it, he seems quite cute and cuddly, but as soon as someone crosses his territory in a way he doesn’t like, he turns into a bit of a savage. He’ll go after anything - tigers and pythons, he turns very quickly, but he’s a good guy."
He was regarded as one of the best drivers on the grid in his redbull years. The honey badger. The last of the late brakers. It’s a shame he has struggled in his 2 years in mclaren. We will all miss him next year and I truly hope he finds a way to come back
Daniel is the best teammate any driver on the F1 grid could wish for. It's really sad that he won't be driving next year. Hope for him to be back in some capacity in the future, F1 wouldn't be the same without him.
You nailed it with this analysis! He really is one the most likeable and humble guys on the grid. Great to know he became your instant favorite too! Hopefully he makes a comeback in 2024🤞
Love the F1 analysis! These drivers come across differently to everyone, but you seem to be able to cold-read people really well and it's very satisfying to see someone react to these drivers from a fresh perspective! Thanks Max 👍
6:35 He likes them vulnerable! If you want to see Daniel at his racing peak you should look for the clip of him Overtaking car after car and saying. "I like them vulnerable" before passing massa
It's cool getting introduced to so many different celebrities through your videos in such a thoughtful way, i love that you're trying to unpack their communication and personality in different situations, rather than just reacting to their races/music/movies. An F1 driver isn't someone I would usually be interested in learning about but I really enjoyed your reaction to him! Would love for you to check out another interview with twenty one pilots and dive a bit deeper into their communication styles in a different situation, maybe one of their fan press conferences.
Unfortunately driving-wise he’s had a really bad year so his contract didn’t get continued. And it seems all the other seats are filled up, so Ricciardo probably won’t be in Formula 1 next year😢 Fans from all teams are really sad he’s leaving, everybody loves the guy and he’s actually really good. It shows you how competitive the sport is, he’s been one of the top guys for years but after just 1 bad year you get dropped
I love DR but unfortunately it's not just this year. The last 2 years he has massively underperformed (with the exception of Monza 2021) especially compared to Lando. I wish he could find another team but I think it was the right decision from Mclaren.
@@1313xania tbh, it is more like 1 and a half year of underperforming as they signed a preliminary agreement with Piastri in early June and was looking for other options already in May
@@simomsen7167 Fair enough, but still they gave him the benefit of the doubt and I honestly don't think there is any improvement since last year. Also after each quali and race he seems genuinely confused about what the problem is, so that means it's even more difficult for him to improve.
@@1313xania oh, I’m not hating on McLaren, I just think one need to be honest about how competitive the sport is. Personally, I still have faith in Daniel’s abilities, things like that just don’t just go away by itself, although I don’t know his personal life. But that doesn’t really matter to McLaren when his potential isn’t realized in their car or with their team. It doesn’t really have to speak negatively to his abilities or to McLaren that it did not work out and McLaren had to cut their losses and lock in some new talent.
Youre spot on with the juxtaposition between his jovial nature and killer instinct on the track, its kind of jarring when the competitive Daniel comes out offtrack. For example his famous scream when his car broke (for like the 8th time that season) is so impactful because of how happy he normally is! th-cam.com/video/Yc5uWw-El8k/w-d-xo.html here it is, even the commentator says 'not something you'd expect from Daniel'
you're absolutely right, every time I even see his car during a race I cant help but smile. And in terms of his success, financially he's one of the best off drivers because of his marketability. Him and Lando are the two who bring the most commercial value, even more than someone like Mick Schumacher, who on paper should bring more.
I know this wouldn’t be your typical video, but there is a TH-camr called Connor Moore that does impressions of f1 drivers, and now that you know a bit more about them, I would love to see you react to him and his takes on these drivers
He's an Aussie. What's not to love about us Australians. We are laid back and don't take things too serious. We know what the job is and we get it done.
I genuinely believe F1 is better because of Danny Ricc. His openness and willingness to put himself out there by doing weird and silly things like shoeys have rubbed off on F1 in the best way.
Sometimes I think Ricciardo is hiding a bit behind the smile. He's an amazing personality and nobody hates him. Not possible. But he also needs to be ruthless and a bit of an a**hole in the car. :) I feel he struggles with that more than others like Max or Lewis. Charles has the same problem; too nice sometimes. Daniel did win races regularly when he was still at Red Bull. He will be missed a LOT on and off track next year! Hope he comes back. LJ
great video. i would love to see the analysis between lewis and nico rosberg. They were best friends grew up together but end up became enemies in Mercedes.
You can do George Russell and Ricardo has just Sunday signed a deal with Redbull. Next year he will take a little bit of time off and then make appearances at a few races but they are going to use him for promotional stuff and I guess it's his personality but he will be back maybee 2024 he got 7 race wins with them early in his career
I'd be really interested in what you'd say about George Russell. Personally he's my favourite driver, but he's one of the most hated drivers on the grid.
George isnt in my favourites either but I dont think he is a bad guy off track, he seems like a nice and cool guy but jusy on track he is the one who sometimes annoys me the most xdd ofc i dont think he deserves hate obviously… its fine to critic his on track doings but hating is always too far i also just personally miss Valtteri and Lewis as a team so much and i am not used to George xddd Off track he seems like a normal guy ❤
Since when did he become hated?! I'd say that's a bit of an exaggeration. Okay he's said and done some shitty things on track, but no driver is going to be perfect.
@@passionspotatoes9182 oh believe me, i'm very active on f1twt and there's only a small group of george supporters including me and he's getting abnormal hate there, even more than stroll and latifi.
George looks like a kind guy who tries a little bit too hard. He seems a lovely human, but people may be put off because he comes off as posh and trying hard to be relatable.
in view of the recent developments (ao the things that took place during and after Sao Paulo, between Max, his wingman Perez and The Team...) I'm starting to get the feeling that Daniel might be 2024 (or sooner.....?...) wingman to Max at Red Bull. From what I understand he has now been signed by Red Bull as 3rd driver (reserve) for 2023 and Perez' contract expires end of 2023..
The difference between Daniel and Max Verstappen is F1 was more "normal" for Max, his dad was a driver and he was in the F1 paddock meeting people like Michael Schumacher at a very young age. th-cam.com/video/kIods5YK24U/w-d-xo.html

Carlos and Lando please!!

Leah Williamson would be cool
Daniel is widely regarded as the most loved driver on the grid
along with seb!
And they're buddies!
@@rysmatiasHonestly Seb's going from one of the most hated to being one of the most loved is quite something...

also Seb
