I just love how these trucks are so fast and powerful that they hydroplane across the pit rather than actually drive through it and get in the thick of the mud

I agree, shouldn't be able to see daylight under the chassis. These are defiantly impressive trucks, but if you can dig to the hard dirt through just 6-8in of mud its not a mud race.

I want to see these things on a set of 4 slicks and go down a drag strip.
From sound of it they get all their power in one gear so probably wouldn't be impressive as you think on drag strip

Some of these trucks are capable of 1800-2000hp easy. 90% of them after hitting a rut filled mudhole were already sketchy at the end of 200 ft. Yall want them to run a 1/4 mile?
No, but at least an eighth. If they're so sketchy after 200ft, maybe they need to build a more controllable truck, and a longer strip to test that. it's just a pissing contest. Something that can actually be used is more impressive than high numbers, imo
