Girl no way I’d spend 50$ on some nail polish.they did have some pretty colors however not 50$ pretty.I’d much rather have a gel polish. I love that you’re able to demo them for us so we can experience the bougie-ness through you thank you for sharing with us
I know!! I remember LV came out with thier polish it was $100 a pop, girl my local bargain store sell this polish brand and the colors are gorgeous creamy, long lasting for $3. I do admit the most I've spend on a polish is $4-5 when they're on sale at Marshalls or TJ Max. 😃

Here's a quick luxury nail polish story...My mom came to visit me from NYC in ATL during Thanksgiving (2022) and she wanted to go get her nails done the Wednesday/day before. I dropped her off to a nice looking salon near me while I ran some errands. She called me back about 30 minutes later, asking me to pick her up. They kept telling her 5 minutes, 5 minutes, but were reeally too busy to keep that promise. That wasn't working for the New Yorker in her! 😂 She had taken out the Channel nail polish that she broguht with her and set it down. But she forgot it when she left. When she remembered, she wanted to go back to get it but the mistrusting New Yorker in me said that's gone. You know someone saw a nice, expensive brand name bottle and scooped it up. So for Christmas, I decided to buy her a few bottles to replace what she got. Here I go, thinking it was probably $10 or $15... NO! It was $30 a bottle!!!! I got her two. I happened to guess the correct shade and she was overjoyed to receive the gift. I told her she was the only one bougee enough to buy the most expensive regualr nail polish in the world! But now, I stand corrected. Hermes takes the cake at $50 a bottle. These luxury brands be trippin!!🤣 Thanks for being the guinea pig for us... cuz I know I sure wouldn't buy Hermes or Channel for myself!!
I used Patty Gel for the first time yesterday and omg… Ive never done my nails so fast with polygel! It was so easy to use and beautiful colors. I also loved how easy it is to file. I definitely will be ordering more. Thanks so much for making such a dope product ❤

A great rule of thumb is to remember if gel polish was in a transparent bottle, it would cure. Regular polish is always in a bottle you can see through, gel is always in a bottle that you have either have a swatch on the bottle or see the color by removing the brush.
Ig its self explanatory that Rouge is french for red, google says pronounced roozh but its more like roojh (ty @me! ) ,my mom that had passed spoke french occasionally and thats one of the words i remembered, and I love the "for science " reasoning. This whole video is giving me flashbacks to the 90s when Chanel released that deep burgundy color called Vamp and it was *the* color to have. I managed to find a bottle of the Metallic Vamp, which was more purple, and drove across town and paid 30 or 40 bucks for it. Then it chipped off pretty much as soon as I put it on my nails and I was heartbroken lol. Your nails look so cute! Thanks for taking one for the team to bring us this vital content. 😉🤣

The only polish I'll spend top dollar for is Rouge Noir by Chanel ($30) because I've never found an affordable dupe that matches the color. Can't justify $50, tho. But that's one reason I love your vids. It's like virtual window shopping lol.
Look at OPI Complimentary Wine. I swear they rebadge the shades ever so often, because I am certain I have this with a different name. I mainly got it(and All a Bordeaux the Sled before it) to avoid buying Rouge Noir. But seriously, if it makes you happy and it's your signature manicure, I see it as a worthwhile expense. I think the most expensive nail lacquer I've bought was a $25 indie that was custom made for me.

Back in the day when I used regular polish, I bought a few Dior ones, mostly because of the color but they were not as pigmented nor as durable as the $2 ones I bought at Etude house. Not worth the money but I like the design you did (as always) 💖

It seems like they’re a lot more affordable than the nail polish specific machines, and then I could use it for other paints and stuff, too ❤
I’ll gladly watch you try these polishes, because I can pretty much say I’m 100% sure I could never pay $50 for a single bottle lol. I also can’t deal with the long dry times because I always end up smudging my work.
That’s true! Rolling your polishes 1) warms and smooths the polish and 2) helps prevents air bubbles. I’ve never ever heard of the BBs breaking a bottle but another benefit couldn’t hurt lol

I personally would not spent $50 on regular Hermes nail polish but if I had the money, I'd definitely buy that Tiny brand gel polish you swatched in your previous unboxing video. Those bottles were so cute and they sent you a shelf to put them in. Those seemed worth the money you spent.😊
The design is pretty. I definitely used to rock that same style faithfully. After watching your videos I cannot go back to regular polish on my fingernails but I still use it on my toes.

Nah, once I discovered gel and had no drying time, I said peace out to lacquer. The only thing I've been tempted by is Holo Taco and I swear if she decides to break into gels - it's a wrap! I'd pay a premium for that. But I'm not paying $50 for smudges and chips. I've had a $20 Marc Jacobs which was pretty but at the end of the day, it's still regular air dry polish. For $50, that thing my needs to do my taxes and sweep my floor. BUT do what makes *you* happy! It's good to see joy in each other.

I have a question for someone who wants to start making content but doesn’t have the funds to be buying the newest collections how in the world can you be seen by others if you’re someone who’s trying to start out?
Not everyone is out here with the best and the newest! So, so many people are at home just trying to explore creatively and save some coin. You have something for someone, absolutely. And you have to trust that your people will find you! It may take some time but it will be as good as the work you put in, not the money. Use your other socials to boost your exposure and building interest. Maybe shorts would be a good way to get your channel out to more people through the recommendeds and then when they go to check you out, they’ll find your other content. You got this ❤

The pink she had painted on her nails lasted with the top coat even after her soaking it in acetone. So with proper application it should last until you want to change it. But you might want to look at the gel polish removers from korea, a lot of the polish over there uses the remover and not acetone. My nail tech uses them, and they work really well.

People asked the same question about those YSL polishes when they came out bc of the stiletto bottle (which is admittedly very cute to display) but the polish can never be worth it unless there is 24k gold leaf or something in it 😂 The packaging is really what you’re paying for, having designer brands on your vanity 🤷🏻♀️ Depends on what you want I guess

I dont think I could fathom spending that much on polish lol, thanks for taking the bullet for us BTW, if you want to, there's a way you can use them as gel. Mix 2 parts polish & 1 part gel topcoat, mix well, and voila! If you have leftover just store it in a light tight container. Works with most polishes I've tried it on. I found this out because a sub box I recieve sent some gorgeous polishes but I only use gel now, so I found a way 😉

The only thing I didn't like is how many coats you had to do for the price tag I was expecting something else but I am use to gel polish which is thicker and I'm with you on having to wait for the polish to dry I did a set recently with regular polish and realized that I lost patience for the drying process lol

The only polish I'll spend top dollar for is Rouge Noir by Chanel ($30) because I've never found an affordable dupe that matches the color. Can't justify $50, tho. But that's one reason I love your vids. It's like virtual window shopping lol.

I swear they rebadge the shades ever so often, because I am certain I have this with a different name.

I think the most expensive nail lacquer I've bought was a $25 indie that was custom made for me.

Back in the day when I used regular polish, I bought a few Dior ones, mostly because of the color but they were not as pigmented nor as durable as the $2 ones I bought at Etude house. Not worth the money but I like the design you did (as always) 💖

That’s true! Rolling your polishes 1) warms and smooths the polish and 2) helps prevents air bubbles. I’ve never ever heard of the BBs breaking a bottle but another benefit couldn’t hurt lol

I’m not gonna lie, I’d never spend that much on nail polish but that regular nail polish self leveled better than my gel polishes and are much easier to remove. Again, I’d never spend that much but I’m super impressed.

I personally would not spent $50 on regular Hermes nail polish but if I had the money, I'd definitely buy that Tiny brand gel polish you swatched in your previous unboxing video. Those bottles were so cute and they sent you a shelf to put them in. Those seemed worth the money you spent.😊

Do you think some of the formulas were better because they came from different companies? Some of them looked streaky while others were very full coverage.
Regardless the retailer, they’re all sourced from Hermes so the formulation shouldn’t vary. My guess would just be the formulas 🤷♀️
Nah, once I discovered gel and had no drying time, I said peace out to lacquer. The only thing I've been tempted by is Holo Taco and I swear if she decides to break into gels - it's a wrap! I'd pay a premium for that. But I'm not paying $50 for smudges and chips. I've had a $20 Marc Jacobs which was pretty but at the end of the day, it's still regular air dry polish. For $50, that thing my needs to do my taxes and sweep my floor.

Not everyone is out here with the best and the newest! So, so many people are at home just trying to explore creatively and save some coin. You have something for someone, absolutely. And you have to trust that your people will find you! It may take some time but it will be as good as the work you put in, not the money. Use your other socials to boost your exposure and building interest. Maybe shorts would be a good way to get your channel out to more people through the recommendeds and then when they go to check you out, they’ll find your other content. You got this ❤

Literally I want those tiny gels SO BAD. But I’m so broke omg, I love all the colors names on these! So pretty. I love the bottles too. Very simply but super classy looking. Wondering how long the gels last without chipping or scratching
The pink she had painted on her nails lasted with the top coat even after her soaking it in acetone. So with proper application it should last until you want to change it. But you might want to look at the gel polish removers from korea, a lot of the polish over there uses the remover and not acetone. My nail tech uses them, and they work really well.

BTW, if you want to, there's a way you can use them as gel. Mix 2 parts polish & 1 part gel topcoat, mix well, and voila! If you have leftover just store it in a light tight container. Works with most polishes I've tried it on. I found this out because a sub box I recieve sent some gorgeous polishes but I only use gel now, so I found a way 😉

The only thing I didn't like is how many coats you had to do for the price tag I was expecting something else but I am use to gel polish which is thicker and I'm with you on having to wait for the polish to dry I did a set recently with regular polish and realized that I lost patience for the drying process lol
