I remember when I first ever started fishing, I got a pole rod and I was always so excited to use it. I new nothing about knots and then when I got my first rod and reel combo, I'd be getting into dreadful tangles and end up losing half the spool in 1 session! But Because of your videos, I've learned how to properly fish, almost every thing I know now is from you guys so thank you very much for all your ultra detailed tutorials, keep them coming lads! 👍👍
Up in Scotland so we fly fish here more but when visiting family in England always like to get the pole out but forget how to tie the rigs every time!! This is perfect thanks guys, favourite channel
This is brilliant - thank you. I’ve recently bought my son a whip and I’m keen for him to learn how to tie his own rigs. Now he can use this video to follow, until he gets confident with it. Thanks again.
I remember back in the day fishing with a 4 meter whip and catching anything from tiny gudgeons to a 1 pound carp every ones in a while. The good ole days..
Got these thinking they were the slightly larger Panfish floats th-cam.com/users/postUgkx_rJB7cli5f1ofPVGgn80S7Yj4vqwq0gU they work just fine. The smaller size lets me carry more in my tackle box, and the 3 color choices are nice for different lighting conditions, backgrounds, etc. They aren't the most durable things in the world. But, as cheap as they are, it's not heartbreaking to lose one or have to replace a worn one. The price on these fluctuates wildly, from about $9 to almost $16. So, time your buy accordingly.
i ussally use 6 pound line straight through to the hook and a number 9 elastic and i have caught up to 11ib on that great video guys keep up the good work
If you need to fish the whip at a range and depth that leaves a long length of line between float and tip, try a small insert or tapered waggler. Being able to sink that length of line and having the float fold on the strike are real advantages.
I’d love to get a full list of lines and other items needed to make up rigs - pole rigs , and tools Could you make a vid please 🙏🏻 Or if you already have a vid a link Cheers Keep up the great work
@@fishingtutorials yes please A shopping list episode would be great if possible I know your busy But would make life a little more easier Us old ones need help 😂😉
Personally as a match angle who uses a pole the bristle of that float is too far out of the water I'd have an additional number 10 split shot or stot to make it so even the most delicate bites are detected by again its a personal preference

Great information as usual lads.
Quick question, can you tie it directly to the ring on the end of the whip , or do you always use elastic?
If fishing for small fish close in then we just use a whip, but if the fish are over 1lb you probably need elastic, hope that helps Lewis :)
@@fishingtutorials thanks mate 👍
Hon many mm is the silicon tube you used on the float?

Would you please show us how to hook a weedless hook please
We will try and make a film about this, thanks!
Thank you so much I’ve been wondering for a while but can’t find any decent videos on it
So how do you tie a rig on a pole that has a metal ring/loop on the end of the pole
you can use bigger poles that are like 11m but you need something ro rest it cuz it too heavy.
Not bad but less no 8 with 3 no10 droppers would make the rig better
Will you be fishing with joe again?
Which Joe?
