Then he gets up and starts bouncing around excitedly waiting to “touch gloves” as it cuts to Cena’s look of despair as he realizes this is hopeless. It was equal parts badass, devastating, cathartic, and almost hard to watch - the death of Superman.

Say what you want about “Roman and Seth Era” Brock being lazy and hijacking the belt, but Brock’s return run culminating in this match is some of the best stuff ever.
Best part was that it had been thrown around among my friends and elsewhere that “They should just have Lesnar completely destroy Cena,” and those first few minutes of the match where you realized, “Holy $&@!, it’s happening!!”
I just wish that match would have been shorter. I wasn't following the product, so to me it was just Cena laying on the canvas & Lesnar suplexing him every 2 minutes. Although I understand why it was so long

As great as the Bret-Bulldog match was, I still consider Bret-Perfect from SS 91 as the IC standard-bearer. Maybe even more so than Savage-Steamboat. It's the one IC match I always seem to come back to above all others.
The funny thing is... I am just getting around to watching now, and I just saw the end of the Mandy/Sonya match and was like "Huh... Trying to force that Macho/Liz thing huh?" Then 20 mins later I get this notification.

The 95 ladder match is my all time favorite because of how creative they were despite having to work around not being able to hit each other with the ladder, sure they could fall into it etc but not deliberately use it as a weapon. They pulled it off and 2 ladders at the time blew my mind

That "move" happened completely by accident, Bret just improvised due to Davey Boys poor timing. I agree though, although it seems a somewhat dangerous move, I'm surprised no one has adopted it as an actual move.

I just* missed the WMX Ladder match since I didn't get back into wrestling until a bit later that year, (starting with Summerslam, coincidentally; Bret v Owen's cage match and Undertaker vs Undertaker are two I'll never forget) so it was actually the 2nd ladder match the year later that was my first, and it was pretty amazing. Holds a special place in my memory. Great list.

For me it’s Bret VS Perfect 91. This was the passing of the torch to Bret to start his singles run after being a tag team guy for so long. The fact perfect was able to put on that match with the state of his back injury speaks huge on his love for the sport.

It still amazes me how great that Bret/Davey Boy match is considering just how coked up Davey Boy was for it! He was so fucked up that Bret decided to scrap the entire layout of the match and do the whole thing as audibles. It's also a testament to how good Davey Boy was that he trusted Bret enough to do that and not only didn't miss a single call, but fucking crushed every single spot.
Honestly Bret could have his own list of top SummerSlam moments considering he has (at least) 4 of the best matches in event history under his belt (vs. Mr. Perfect in 1991, vs. Bulldog in 1992, vs. Owen in the cage match in 1994, and vs. Undertaker in 1997)
Rock vs HHH 1998 Ladder Match @ MSG. The MSG fans were cheering a HEEL ROCK because his Heel work as leader of NOD was fantastic. He gradually turned face after that and then we got the BRILLIANT Heel turn swerve, 3 months later at Survivor Series which lead to even more GREAT Heel work as the Corporate Champion.
I would’ve thought The Rock vs Triple H for the Intercontinental title in a ladder match in ‘98 would’ve been mentioned on the list. Or at least received an honorable mention.
I always enjoyed the 1992 SummerSlam in London. It was originally going to be held at the Capital Centre in Landover in which Shawn Michaels would have won the Intercontinental Title from Bret but they moved it to London. The Warrior/Savage WWF World Title match was awesome with the drama of "who sold out to Mr. Perfect" and the foregone conclusion that Ric Flair was going to interfere. I never understood why they couldn't have had a three way dance with Flair thrown in there but I guess we were a few years away from that. I never quite got why they would have such a huge show over there in the UK and not have Flair even wrestle. Shoot, they could have had him face anyone on the roster and it would have been major. SummerSlam '92 also had the memorable entrance of the Undertaker in his short fight with Kamala and the great tag team battle with LOD and Money Inc. It is so sad to look back at those early ones and see who isn't with us anymore.
Great choice for #1. Summerslam 1992 was the second PPV that I watched live (I was in attendance at Wrestlemania 8; this was the first PPV that I watched on television. Bunch of friends came over, had pizza. Good times. Bret Hart vs. The British Bulldog is still one of my 10 favorite matches of all time. And what's even more incredible is that Davey Boy was completely strung out on drugs. I'm a little surprised that Bret didn't call an audible (about a minute into the match, Bulldog says, "I'm fokked.") The British fans would have rioted, but a serious injury to either man would have been awful. TNA Victory Road 2011 pissed off the fans but it was absolutely the right call.

I always enjoyed the 1992 SummerSlam in London. It was originally going to be held at the Capital Centre in Landover in which Shawn Michaels would have won the Intercontinental Title from Bret but they moved it to London. The Warrior/Savage WWF World Title match was awesome with the drama of "who sold out to Mr. Perfect" and the foregone conclusion that Ric Flair was going to interfere. I never understood why they couldn't have had a three way dance with Flair thrown in there but I guess we were a few years away from that. I never quite got why they would have such a huge show over there in the UK and not have Flair even wrestle. Shoot, they could have had him face anyone on the roster and it would have been major. SummerSlam '92 also had the memorable entrance of the Undertaker in his short fight with Kamala and the great tag team battle with LOD and Money Inc. It is so sad to look back at those early ones and see who isn't with us anymore.

Summerslam 1992 was the second PPV that I watched live (I was in attendance at Wrestlemania 8; this was the first PPV that I watched on television. Bunch of friends came over, had pizza. Good times.
Bret Hart vs. The British Bulldog is still one of my 10 favorite matches of all time.
And what's even more incredible is that Davey Boy was completely strung out on drugs. I'm a little surprised that Bret didn't call an audible (about a minute into the match, Bulldog says, "I'm fokked.")
The British fans would have rioted, but a serious injury to either man would have been awful.
TNA Victory Road 2011 pissed off the fans but it was absolutely the right call.
