  • Audio is nice, but note signals speak. In this new addition to our Modular Concepts video series, we explore some differences between audio and note processing. We also discuss how to categorize Bitwig Studio's 30+ Note FX, and then we find musical uses for them. Let the generating begin - because in Bitwig Studio, notes are signals.

      let's just hope they don't add extra features that is pretty cool (but nobody really asked for) in the next update.
      I feel like they have got to implement the more necessary ones that people have been begging for, first. Then they can implement the more flashy ones later lol

      For years, I've been wanting built-in chord editing in Bitwig's MIDI roll. This lack is such a big deal for me that I've even used other DAWs hoping Bitwig would make it a priority and become my main choice again. Unfortunately, it seems they're focusing on other areas. While there might be workarounds, I'm looking for a well-integrated system like Cubase or Studio One that offers native chord progression tools.

    Hello Bitwig! I just want to ask a question, because lately the videos do not have the option of automatically generated subtitles, these subtitles can help people to better understand what the video says, I need a lot of practice in my English and it would be very helpful to have the option of automatically generated subtitles

    How do you give each note a separate colour?

    • @ragnarroeck
      @ragnarroeck 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When you are in the detail panel editor (F1) of a MIDI clip you can select the layered editing mode (a stack of 3 plates, in lack of a better description) at the very bottom of the window, and assign different channels each with a separate colour. Off course the notes gets send to different channels then, which might not be what you want, but if your instrument has just one MIDI-channel there should be no ill side-effect. (Someone correct me, if I got that last bit wrong.)

    Could the team make some improvements to the arrange page, like where with markers to be able to move around parts of the song, intro etc easier and to show whats looping as its just that grey line and its not locked to the loop.. Am I missing something?.

      @@thegroove2000 Bitwig's marker style is just to place a namable marker at the start of a new section. Its completely independent from the loop range which it sounds like you're talking about. just right click at the top where the bar count is and choose add new marker. then you can name it what you want and move it around as you want. This confused me at first too because I started in Logic and I set section names by using the cycle range.
