I do prefer the Yak-9t over the Yak-9k, the main reason being the much faster muzzle velocity of that 37mm over the 45mm cannon, makes it much easier to hit the target

I recently unlocked it and believe it or not people in game chat have been asking me if it's good several times a day lol. I always say high ammo count and low repairs are the major draws, at least for me. Personally I have been able to get 3-kill games in it fairly often even though I am not that skilled!
I tried for about a month to get him to fly it. I doubt he will unless you give him some money, just like Gaijin except the reward is actually worth it

YAKs are really good at the hands of the common player (not the ones with the big cal guns). They are super fun, easy to use and for the most part will forgive you for mistakes. I love Yaks.

I watch your videos mostly to get an idea how to fly a plane and see if my estimation was right. Like when looking at the German BP with the heavy radiators on the wings, my estimation was that is might fly a bit like a Whirlwind P.9 but is more aerodynamically streamlined thus can deal with faster dive speeds. I was not completely wrong, but the low alt air density seems to really stress the plane. Or the S.O. 8000 I was wondering how to deal with the slow feeling velocity of German 20 mm guns,... now it feels like some support plane while the meta planes do the dog fighting. About the video here: I like the idea of taking old planes that might have been UFOs in the past and see what their flight model offers after all these years. Ideas of planes you could review if you are in the mood (I consider buying them on birthday sale and could not find them on your channel): Prem. Su-6, (no gunner therefore lighter an better? WT should include weight in the stat card!) Brit M.B. 5, (counter rotating props are neat in SIM due trimming, might be just a upper class brit "P-51" with cooling issues in RB) JP Ki-87, (forbidden love between Ki 84 and P47?) J7M5(the one with the huge engine/nose/turbo)

The dev blog mentions that it's (used to be?) the plane with the highest kill/death ratio in its br. With one or two good supporting pilots its wipes out the enemy swarm during a furball amazingly fast. Somehow it does seem to be a controversial plane with people loving and hating it. I personally never regretted the purchase.

Yak 9K 45mm AP rounds used to not exist. I prefer yak 9t because of better velocity and i can aim with it. Now that i see how that 45mm rip bomber in 1 shot i might try it again..
ability to snipe with the 37 mm, ill take it anyday. i find it to be very funny, to send someone who attempts a headon some aimed shots at 2km away. mostly the shots come very close, making the enemy panicking, making them break away too early, and making them an easy kill :D :D its surprisingly consistent^^
You should play the P-39N, that thing is a complete UFO and they put it down at 2.7 for no reason😂 It’s been one of my favorite planes to fly for years other than stuff like the Ta-154 which you should also fly cause it’s just funny to destroy people in.
i played the french premium airacobra some matches (its 3.7) recently, and somehow failed to make it work well for me, dunno. maybe ill try another time someday. just played it cause i have it, and never played it. the zero skill crew certainly didnt help :D

The only thing I do not enjoy about the Yak 9k is that they put such a high caliber cannon that sometimes you need about 5 of them to “nuke” the enemy plane and that is really crucial because you have about 29 of those bullts and you really need to save them... Also this is plane or USSR in general is how you learn wtf trigger discipline is XD
it takes only one good shot to shoot down any plane, i could go on a 9 kill streak with the 29 rounds and still have left overs, so basically: skill issue
Actually I didn't get how you get ur enemies at desired altitude according to ur plane everytime.. According to my experience if I fly the J2M then only I find myself at topmost altitude till the time I start seeing the enemy. Otherwise if I fly either 109 or zero I always get some enemy above me that forces me to run when they starts diving on me.
if people are always above you, it's probably because you climbed straight toward the enemy. try climbing slightly to the side (try to be behind friendly bombing bases and start pointing toward enemies once you're at ~4km). Wait for the enemy p38s and xp50s and j2ms to start diving on friendly bombers (they spawn at ~4km) or people who just fly straight toward the enemy.
In my opinion... A better Yak 9T I mean, it's a bigger gun Why I like this gun over the 37 is because the round doesn't blow up after a kilometer. You can get 2km snipes with this thing

Yak9K's MG has insane rate of setting planes on fire, I believe it's actually coded this way, because it's a single MG and I remember setting 3 different planes on fire with just the MG with one mag. Like what are the chances of other planes doing the similar stuff, even including the other russian planes? Whereas Americans cry in their 8x50 cals putting a couple of dozens of rounds and nothing happens, because...
Russian MGs do feel like they overperform, but I have never had a problem setting planes on fire with the M2 Brownings on P51s and especially not with the 8 on a P47.
The berezin is crazy good, but it also was powerful irl (but I've heard vague mentions of "problems"). The us 50 cals just have the ammo and numbers to make up. The berezin fires a larger, heavier or heavier depending on round. bullet (52 g), at a higher velocity and faster fire-rate (according to a Finnish researcher and the VL Myrsky II restoration project).

I just flew the attacker fb1 for the first time and I'm surprise the performance it has now I don't get why I always kill the with ez knowing they perform like this (damn English is hard)
it's 2.7 because it's only got 3 of the worst guns in the game and has only 1000 rounds in total, pretty much like MiG19: too low for its obnoxious performance, very little armament
@@kingghidorah8106 The MiG19 has amazing guns, for Russian standards, that is. Of course it has shit missiles at best, but the guns actually do damage if they hit and the hitting part is more of a pilot problem. With 3x7.62mm you aren't gonna do amazing damage even if you have godly aim, but they aren't the worst guns, the worst are the Japanese 7mm. The German 7mm can at least do damage in prolonged bursts, the Japanese ones can hit 100s of rounds without doing any major damage.

it's 2.7 because it's only got 3 of the worst guns in the game and has only 1000 rounds in total, pretty much like MiG19: too low for its obnoxious performance, very little armament

The MiG19 has amazing guns, for Russian standards, that is. Of course it has shit missiles at best, but the guns actually do damage if they hit and the hitting part is more of a pilot problem.
With 3x7.62mm you aren't gonna do amazing damage even if you have godly aim, but they aren't the worst guns, the worst are the Japanese 7mm. The German 7mm can at least do damage in prolonged bursts, the Japanese ones can hit 100s of rounds without doing any major damage.
@@soapghostroach Yeah, NR-30s hit like a stepfather. I used to get a lagspike every time I hit someone because they'd die so hard my graphics card couldn't take it.
